Max exclaimed out loud as he looked at the stats of this protagonist stunned, taking everyone aback by his sudden outburst making them look at him in shock.

Which was ignored by him all as he was more focused on the matter at hand.

He at first thought this protagonist was either a 7 sister one or a young mother one as those types of Xiao Bai’s were getting once again popular and so read a few of them.

However to his sheer astonishment it was kinda both and none.

He is from CN short films, which are most braindead, frustrating even more so then Xiao Bai novels yet somehow addicting to bing watch type of content.

Max knowing this, not sure whether to be happy or frustrated due to circumstances.

Happy because these CN short film protagonists, especially wronged bio-child rebirth ones are pretty much useless.

The whole plot revolves around bad bio-family mocking and undermining the protagonist in favor of an adopted son.

Meanwhile the protagonist still after rebirth suffers their mocking and all, though each time in the end turns the table and walks away safely with benefits.

Which explains why even in the middle of the plot this guy is still getting beaten by the "villains".

"Brother what happened? Are you okay? Did you get burned by this ice milkshake?"

Layla was first to react as she quickly rushed over him and in panic started checking for any injuries or reason for why he had such an outburst.

After all, her brother is quite soft spoken and hardly raises his voice much less ever use such vulgar words.

Every time he curses or has an outburst like this is when he either injured or someone made him really unhappy.

The unhappy can be dealt with later, his injuries take the priorities and so she was looking for one.

"He can’t be burned by an ice-cold milkshake stupid, Max are you okay? Do you want me to take you to the hospital?"

Ashley too came out of her shock and overthinking as she too reached out trying to see in concern where he was actually hurt.

But she did not forget to first push Layla aside and mock for her stupid analysis, after which she was more eager to take him to the hospital.

Meanwhile Erza was just staring at him strangely as it was the first time she saw him losing his cool and cursing like this.

She used to his calm demeanor, never raising his voice, always talking in classy words, and having an invisible aura of high class.

And yet she did not feel anything other than pure disgust as she knew it was all just facade.

But now when he raised his voice as he uttered such a vulgar word, her heart skipped a beat, as she felt something which she did not understand.

It is not hatred nor disgust, it is not even liking at all, it was something else, something different.

She felt a sudden rush, maybe because she already made up her mind to give it to his desire and done with it, maybe it is because of the goodwill she had for him or maybe stockholm syndrome kicking it, She did not know.

She didn’t know how she felt about it, He now just looks ....different in her eyes.

Max stared at the people surrounding him acting so overly dramatic for no reason dumbfoundedly.

However he knows now that it was not their fault.

After all these people spend a lot of time with protagonists, being under the effect of his braindead halo, so there are obvious symptoms of it.

Thankfully his villain halo gives him immunity towards it but he knows he has to do something with that halo soon or things would get difficult.

He can’t be surrounded with idiots as they are too unpredictable for his mental health.

"*Ahem* Nothing wrong, I just forgot to eat in the morning."

Max cleared his throat as he pushed both of the girls away from him as he searched in the crowd for a figure.

"Why are you so careless? You know breakfast is the foundation to keep energised throughout the day. If our elder sister knew this, she would be pissed."

Ashley said the first as she started to reperminding him with a stern tone but the concern in her voice was quite clear.

She now has an idea why he is ignoring her. It’s nothing but being cranky because he is hungry. It is not a new thing, he is always like this when he is hungry.

So his chaotic heart calmed down a little for being ignored by him as it is clear it is not her but he is just hungry.

To prevent him from doing this again, she also pulled out their elder sister, a medical prodigy, to make sure he would not skip his breakfast ever again.

"Yeah I keep that in mind *Slurp*."

Max nonchalantly replied to her as he took the sip from his strawberry milkshake.

He did not lie, he go in the bar to meet Serena in the morning not eating anything in anticipation, then he spent his time building the plan about the upcoming events.

So he really did not ate anything, for food this milkshake is only thing he is consuming.

Ashley was taken aback by his response, Max is afraid of anyone in their household then it is their elder sister.

Not because she is scary but because Max is afraid of injections. While the elder sister of theirs go to first aid solution is always injections for everything, saying it faster and has a higher half life.

So Max tries not to disregard her suggestions as doing so just gets him injected by her collection of syringes she stocks in the house.

Then she waited and waited but Max did not handed her the cup.

It is his their common routine, if they buy something to eat they buy two, One for them while the other one is for each other.

So when she saw he was holding the two cups, light returned in her eyes as she was even more sure that he was cranky, he did not hate her.

If he did he never had brought her a cup, Because she knows he loves and hates both with the same intensity.

If he can block roads for love then he can also pave the road to hell for hate.

That’s why seeing the cup in her hands made her happy as she reached her hands to take the cup from him.

"Huh no no, Sorry sister, You can’t have this, It is for someone else. I thought only sister Layla would be here so I only brought one fkr her too, I am sorry."

Max swiftly avoided her hand from taking the cup from him and then gave her a critical strike, with a hidden sly smile on his lips.

"Erza give Layla her drink, Or it’s ice would melt."

After ignoring Ashley’s stunted twisted face, he asked Erza to give Layla her drink.

"Huh?!...Oh yeah here take this miss."

His words break Erza’s trance making her blush as she hurriedly averted her gaze from his as she quickly puts the cup of milkshake into the hands of stunned Layla, who was also on the verge of crying too.

"Y-Y-You! HOW CAN YOU BE ALIVE?!!"
