He collected himself before returning to the driver’s seat, fastening the seatbelt, and starting the vehicle.

By the time they arrived back at the Fu Family estate, Mu Lingyun had already fallen asleep due to exhaustion.

After turning off the car, Ji Luochen opened the door of the driver’s seat and stepped out with long strides.

Approaching the passenger side, he opened the car door and quietly watched her for a long time.

Eventually, he bent down, picked her up, and carried her into her room.

He laid her down on the bed to sleep.

Mu Lingyun slept for more than ten hours, not waking up until past eight o’clock the next day.

This sleep was incredibly satisfying for Mu Lingyun; upon waking, she found herself in a good mood.

The only downside was that she was hungry.

She stared at the ceiling for a moment before throwing off the covers and getting out of bed.

After brushing her teeth and washing her face, she still chose a set of sweats to wear and then opened the door to leave her room.

She knew at this time, Ji Luochen was most likely in his study.

So, she headed directly there.

Indeed, she saw Ji Luochen sitting at his desk, attending to his work.

Mu Lingyun went over to him, sat directly on his lap, wrapped her arms around him and leaned into him.

Ji Luochen watched the girl approach and sit in his embrace. Stunned for a moment, he set aside his work and wrapped his arms around her.

“Did you get enough sleep?” He looked at the girl in his arms, asking in a lowered voice.

“Mmm,” Mu Lingyun answered softly, then loosened her grip on Ji Luochen, sat up straight in his embrace, reached out and took the water cup from the desk and drank two sips of the water inside.

That was the water Ji Luochen had just been drinking.

He intended to stop her, but it was too late.

Watching her finish drinking and put the cup back in its original place, Ji Luochen’s Adam’s apple moved, his voice low and slightly hoarse, “Temptress!”

Even drinking water, she was bewitching him.

“What?” Mu Lingyun didn’t catch what he said clearly and asked with a raised eyebrow.

“I said, it’s time for you to eat,” Ji Luochen stated calmly.

“Don’t want to go,” Mu Lingyun snuggled into Ji Luochen’s embrace, subconsciously rubbing herself against him, adjusting to a comfortable position.

Though she was really hungry and had had enough sleep, that didn’t stop her from not wanting to move.

Ji Luochen looked down at the petite head buried in his chest, his lips curling slightly, and then he called the butler on the phone, asking him to bring in breakfast for Mu Lingyun.

Upon receiving the call, the butler naturally brought breakfast in immediately.
