Chapter 386: Chapter 388 Evil God Reappears, Ferocious at Dawn (8400 words)
No one could describe how formidable the arm, shrouded in gray energy and extending from the shattered space, was at that instant.
It was an arm capable of collapsing the entire space.
It was the ultimate force of this world, it was Divine.
The Land of Bone-Burying seemed to have been struck, beginning to rumble and tremble, the whole plane shuddering.
It was too powerful, merely an arm, yet it had already exceeded the bearing limit of the Rare Level Land of Bone-Burying.
It seemed that this still frail plane would be shattered by that Evil God who crossed countless spaces and planes.
After the incident in the blink of an eye, Lide forcefully suppressed the fear his body felt towards that divine being, his gaze as firm as iron.
He swung his hand fiercely, immediately calling upon all the Power of Death to reinforce the Bone-Burying Plane, forcefully imprisoning that arm in midair.
Simultaneously, the angel wings on the twelve-layered White Bone Altar had slightly lifted–if that Evil God truly descended, he would stop it at all costs!
The Twelve-winged Blazing Angel was the last resort; once torn apart, he would suffer unbearable losses.
Because once that angel emerged, it would definitely uncover everything he had done, and the opponent wouldn’t be fooled as easily as last time.
“New Sun God, I have already sensed the scent of your soul…
Now, kneel and submit, lift my head high above with both hands and present it to me.
I, shall forgive the sins you once committed, and grant you the power of the Ancient Days…
On the day when the Ancient Days again envelop this world, you shall once again obtain eternal life!”
The ancient blasphemous language echoed through the entire Land of Bone-Burying from the shattered space, the Extreme Evil aura emanating from the spatial rift causing even the Cow Bone Undead’s tail to stand up, and the Soul Fire to tremble.
This Evil God felt even more terrifying to the Cow Bone Undead than a Divine Monster.
Lide stared at the space rift that seemed like the Abyss Mouth, as if it could devour the entire Land of Bone-Burying at any moment.
The evil divine pressure of the God of Plague surged in nearly like a reverse storm surge.
Facing the imposing force of a divine being felt a hundred times more terrifying than being stared at by a giant dragon!
Yet, at this moment, after hearing the threatening words of the God of Plague, Lide’s previously vigilant heart suddenly relaxed.
Although he didn’t reduce the force suppressing that ferocious arm, he was no longer acting at all costs, and he put back the angel wings onto the Twelve-winged White Bone Altar.
Feeling Lide’s change, the Ancient Divine Power was extremely displeased, its majesty surging, and at this moment, Lide felt as if he was standing directly in front of the God of Plague, the opponent watching him with a cold gaze.
At this moment, Lide’s chest felt crushed by a mountain, even simple breathing required a great deal of effort.
But the more the opponent acted this way, the more resolute his gaze became.
Eyes slightly narrowing, he lifted his head to stare directly at the shattered space and that vicious arm flickering with myriad miniature thunders, the blasphemous language once learned from Divine Monster slowly uttered from Lide’s mouth.
“Ancient divine being, the Abyss confines your body, the Main Plane obstructs your soul…”
His mouth curled into a cold arc, his gaze deep.
“You can’t really descend, can you?
What a pitiful creature, as a god surviving from ancient times, unable to conquer even a weak plane.
Before the Ancient Days you speak of descend, you’d better stay holed up in your Abyss Plane and continue being a repulsive, filthy rat–get lost!!”
If Withered Bone were here, he definitely would have cheered wildly at Lide’s defiance, for the opponent was a divine being…
The God of Plague, scorned and mocked by Lide’s indifferent tone, was completely enraged.
Roar~
A piercing roar, like the screams of over a hundred thousand people, tore through the space and caused the Land of Bone-Burying to shake even more violently.
“New Sun God! I will burn your soul for one million years! Ten million years!”
However, after the God of Plague’s roar, the sinister, grey, thunder-enshrouded arm suddenly withdrew from the shattered space rift.
Just as Lide had observed, this ancient Evil God could not descend; all before had been mere intimidation.
Seeing this, Lide’s gaze remained cold.
Had the God of Plague been able to descend, he would not have believed that this being, now his sworn enemy, would be wasting time talking.
After all, he had brazenly seized a skull directly from the other’s grasp–a profound, deep-seated hatred, to say the least.
Moreover, the most crucial point was that the other party was a god!
His actions trampling the dignity of a god would cause outrage not just among ancient Evil Gods but even the kindest of divine spirits.
But the God of Plague was exceedingly verbose,
The more words one uses, the more they reveal their weakness–strong beings do not waste words on the weak.
Thus, after the God of Plague had spoken, Lide determined the state of their condition; even if the Land of Bone-Burying was weak, it was anchored to the Main Plane; the opponent managing to send an arm was already an impressive feat.
The saying ‘villains die from talking too much’ indeed never rang false.
Although the God of Plague could not descend, this was far from over.
His skull was still in the Land of Bone-Burying, a price the God of Plague was willing to pay any cost to reclaim.
Crack~
The originally shattered spatial rift explosively burst open after the withdrawal of the God of Plague’s arm.
Though this ancient Evil God could not descend to the Land of Bone-Burying, he used terrifying divine power to forcibly widen the spatial rift made by the divine skull, turning it into a gate 30 blades long and 10 blades high.
The divine pressure intensified, and Lide circulated the Power of Faith throughout his body, and even began burning the Power of Faith to barely withstand the spine-chilling aura.
As the spatial rift widened, an even more shocking scene unfolded.
A sinister, dim light flickered through the portal stabilized by the God of Plague, then a terrifying grey energy collided with the portal, booming like two mountains crashing, shaking heavens and earth.
Inside the Land of Bone-Burying, a storm surged, and the Cow Bone Undead nearby struggled to stand, their expressions panic-stricken.
When the shaking subsided, Lide regained his senses only to discover behind the broken spatial rift, a land covered in skeletons, mountains of swollen, whitish corpses emitting an immensely horrifying aura–the Land of Death.
As he sensed it briefly, his expression changed.
Was that?
The Divine Country of the God of Plague?!
“New Sun God, my Divine Country is now connected to your weak plane through this spatial portal!
You will no longer escape my watch.
When the ancient days descend, I will personally step through this portal, chop off your head, and extract your soul!”
The tone of the God of Plague carried an undeniable fury and the thrill of impending revenge upon Lide.
Obviously, Lide’s series of actions had made him an eternal enemy of this ancient Evil God.
Although he couldn’t personally descend to the Land of Bone-Burying, he could still feel the connection between this plane and Lide.
The blasphemous language grew ever colder.
“Now, let you taste the fear I bring you day and night, you lowly New Sun God…”
Deep in the bottomless abyss, countless planes away, within an unknown interlayer of planes, the God of Plague, lacking both a head and right arm, was forcibly anchoring his Divine Country to the Land of Bone-Burying.
Even though this anchoring was done through a collapsible space tunnel, he believed it sufficient to deal with this not-so-powerful New Sun God.
The head is the main part of a divine body. Although his divine status was sealed within his body, and he regained the power of plague after reassembling his body, the lack of a head meant his power was reduced by at least thirty percent.
This was absolutely not good news for the God of Plague who wished to establish a foothold in the perilous bottomless abyss.
The bottomless abyss is the most evil and chaotic den of sin in this glorious multi-dimensional plane, filled with evil gods far more powerful than the God of Plague, too many to count on both hands.
Regaining his head was the fastest way to restore his power.
“My servants, occupy and devour this plane! Spare no cost!”
His cold words echoed through the dim Divine Country, and then tens of millions, hundreds of millions, even billions of fierce half-ratmen suddenly looked up and roared!
Following the God of Plague’s ruthless command, countless fierce half-ratmen surged out from a space gate 30 blades wide and 10 blades high.
Their vast numbers exploded forth like a gushing well.
Hiss~
The exclusive hiss of rats became the dominant melody within the Land of Bone-Burying.
Fear spread.
Lide’s expression drastically changed upon seeing this scene.
These fierce half-ratmen, cultivated by the divine power of the God of Plague, represented his power. Once this plane was occupied by the fierce half-ratmen, the power of the God of Plague would begin to erode the Land of Bone-Burying.
By then, the Land of Bone-Burying might no longer belong to him.
Lide instantly felt a tremendous threat, being targeted by a divine being who had survived from the ancient days. It wasn’t a pleasant feeling.
It was like a venomous snake constantly watching him from the shadows.
He felt a strong sense of crisis.
Bloodline shackles, activate.
Watching the fierce half-ratmen surging from the space gate, Lide instantly activated the Ancestor Bloodline.
A terrifying power surged and erupted within his body.
Crack~
Terrifying Silver Dragon Lightning illuminated the murky Land of Bone-Burying.
Four Circle Magic–Thunder God Descent.
Lide stood far from the space gate, alone blocking the fractured spatial rift.
Those fierce half-ratmen that rushed out from the space gate were instantly infused with lightning, their divine servant bodies exploding on impact.
Crack~ Blood and limbs sprayed everywhere, the bone-white ground stained blood-red, the scene unbearably gory and brutal.
In just a few minutes, the ground was significantly elevated by the corpses of the half-ratmen, and the speed of death’s corruption could not keep up with the rate of annihilation caused by the thunder.
In front of the space gate now, true mountains of corpses were piled high.
Lide saw this and thought for a moment, and the ground of white bones collapsed, swallowing the towering mountain of corpses into the underground, and the surface became smooth once again.
This place was truly the Land of Death made from piles of corpses.
“The New Sun God… so weak and pathetic, not even a servant in its own divine country…”
The God of Plague looked upon the scene of the Fierce Half-Ratmen sending themselves to their deaths with utter indifference.
Each Fierce Half-Ratman contained a trace of his power, although weak, the more Fierce Half-Ratmen that died, the heavier his imprint and traces in the opposing plane.
Just wait until the day of the Ancient Evil God’s descent, no matter where the opponent was, he would be able to find him.
Moments later, Lide also realized the intentions of this Ancient Evil God, yet a cold curve formed on his lips.
Thinking of bursting me? You better have the skills!
He slightly manipulated the Power of Death, the gray energy that dispersed into the air due to the Half-Ratmen’s death was instantly devoured, and then on the attribute panel of the Land of Bone-Burying, the amount of the Power of Death slowly started to increase.
Lide’s eyes immediately lit up at this sight.
He suddenly realized, being hunted by the God of Plague seemed to not be such a bad thing…
What was the Land of Bone-Burying most lacking right now? — The Power of Death.
Even if the underworld was desperately killing Cave Spiders, the Power of Death they obtained still couldn’t meet his needs.
Therefore, the Land of Bone-Burying had not yet been upgraded to a Rare level, it hadn’t unlocked the feature to recruit Frost Giants, nor activated the usage of the Twelve-Layer White Bone Altar.
But now the situation seemed to have subtly changed.
Aren’t these Fierce Half-Ratmen a living source of the Power of Death??
And they were delivered right to his doorstep… This Ancient Evil God was simply his lucky star, delivering whatever he was lacking.
The deaths of these Fierce Half-Ratmen in the Land of Bone-Burying, weren’t they all turning into nutrients for its growth??
And most of the Fierce Half-Ratmen were of levels 7 or 8, with level 10s being not uncommon, the Power of Death gained from slaughtering these creatures was much faster than breeding pigs.
After this shift in thought, Lide felt instantly better, and looking at the Space Gate afterwards, it seemed more pleasing than ever.
“Legend says that within five steps of the poison snake, there must be an antidote; could I be this evil god’s nemesis?”
Feeling joyful, Lide got excited, but after about ten minutes, the incessant flow of Fierce Half-Ratmen still made him frown.
Although he could hunt these Half-Ratmen to obtain the Power of Death, there was a significant issue–he couldn’t possibly waste all his time here.
If he were to be dragged here by the God of Plague using Fierce Half-Ratmen, then obtaining even a large amount of the Power of Death would be unacceptable.
The crisis of the Ancient days was about to arrive, he had to quickly advance to Transcendent, and also prepare the subordinate forces of Dawn City for the future.
Now, the Divine Skull that had its seal broken was suppressed by him next to the White Bone Altar using the force of space, the opportunity for a breakthrough was right in front of him.
Lide’s gaze slowly calmed down, and after pondering for a moment, he slightly sensed and realized that the Space Gate’s power could at most allow level 10 Fierce Half-Elves through for a short time, his mind made a decision.
He directly opened the Space Gate, and using the scent of Bloodline found Emi and Harrison.
The two were immediately astonished when they saw the scene inside the Land of Bone-Burying through the Space Gate.
The aura of the evil god was too fierce and terrifying.
It simply wasn’t from this mortal world.
“Harrison, Emi, immediately mobilize the army to come! We have big trouble…” Lide then quickly and briefly explained the current situation to the two.
After listening, Emi and Harrison exchanged looks, both feeling a chill in their hearts.
They never expected the Ancient Evil God’s head would cause so much trouble.
“Yes! Your Majesty!!”
Given the urgency of the situation, they dared not delay and immediately began making arrangements.
Once Lide’s orders were issued, Dawn City sprang into action.
Having just endured the fierce battle at Risier City, the alertness of the Dawn City army had not yet waned. With military orders received, they began to assemble at a stunning speed.
Reservists hit the streets to replace patrol teams, and various weapons and equipment began to be brought out of the warehouses again.
Crossbows, alchemy bombs, powerful bows, high-level armor… Weapons and equipment were nearly endless.
The human armies of the King’s Blade, the Bloodline of the Holy Light Bloodline, and even the Giant Army and Beastmen began to gather.
This war was different from the one at Risier City. Dawn City was facing an invasion by an Ancient Evil God, and the war was happening in the Land of Bone-Burying. Their only enemy was the Ancient Evil God, and there was no need to worry about discovery by the outside world.
Therefore, Lide directly mobilized all military forces.
The command center of the army immediately began drafting battle orders, while the construction department began researching how to build defensive fortifications to counter a significant number of Fierce Half-Ratmen.
It had to be said that Dawn City had changed dramatically from the past; even facing such a sudden urgent battle situation still remained calm and composed. All departments collaborated effectively and, in less than ten minutes, had determined how to deal with the assault of the Fierce Half-Ratmen.
Construction department, army, City Hall, even logistics, weapons factories, etc. all were activated, everything revolving around the defense battle in the Land of Bone-Burying.
One Sunshine Hour, two Sunshine Hours… By the time the fifth Sunshine Hour arrived, Lide felt his spiritual power was like water in a sponge, almost squeezed dry.
He had continuously used Four Circle Magic for five Sunshine Hours, staunchly withstanding the desperate charge of the Fierce Half-Ratmen, providing enough time for the Dawn City army to react.
And the Power of Death on his attribute panel had soared by 200,000, breaking through the 800,000 mark, gaining 40,000 Power of Death per hour.
This terrifying rate of increase made Lide’s eyelids twitch.
If it weren’t for prolonged use of Thunder God Descent which nearly drained his spirit, he might have actually wished to defend a while longer; the feeling of watching the numbers on the attribute panel jump rapidly was just too great.
“Your Majesty, the defensive offense is ready!!”
Just then, Harrison’s voice reached from behind.
Upon hearing the voice, Lide slightly turned his head and after scanning around, he immediately relaxed.
Although it had been only a short five Sunshine Hours, under the mobilization of the entire city’s power in Dawn City, the Land of Bone-Burying had already undergone an earth-shattering transformation.
A ring of gigantic rock fortresses surrounding the Space Gate as the center had formed an encircling defense with no blind spots.
Lide had used the Land of Bone-Burying to open a Space Gate, allowing giants to go to the mountains to mine stone, and then the Blood Clan Spellcasters used magic to smooth the rough edges of the boulders and directly built the walls.
And this wall, which took five Sunshine Hours to construct, was a total of 30 blades high and 5 blades wide.
Thousands of giants, along with over two thousand Blood Clan members, eight thousand Magic Language Bats, and tens of thousands of troops together had miraculously constructed this rock fortress.
It was absolutely stunning.
Most importantly, the circular rock fortress had a radius of 100 blades, completely enclosing the Space Gate.
After the construction department’s design, the 30-blade high rock fortress had nine levels from bottom to top, each allowing archers to stand and shoot through the designated shooting holes in the rock wall.
And at the very top of the rock fortress stood a circle of burly, high-level armored warriors.
Their weapons were gleaming sharp at the moment.
Even in the outer area of the rock fortress, thirty wooden towers that were 10 blades taller than the rock wall had been temporarily but sturdily built, all occupied by Blood Clan Spellcasters.
And a large area behind the rock fortress, aside from logistics personnel, was filled with archers who had already aimed their shooting angles, ready to launch their attacks.
The explosion had already surrounded the Space Gate in a 360-degree, no-dead-angle embrace, ensuring that the Fierce Half-Ratmen would encounter the most brutal shooting as soon as they appeared.
In just a few Sunshine Hours, this magnificent military fortress had risen from the ground, an awe-inspiring sight for anyone.
At the moment of looming danger, Dawn City demonstrated a trembling potential.
This was a city that could truly be called great, a city personally crafted by Lide.
The plan to build a defensive area to kill the Half-Ratmen was selected from 20 different defensive plans and was highly suited to the current army of Dawn City.
The strong bows and sharp arrows were an advantage of Dawn City–an advantage the Fierce Half-Ratmen didn’t have–so maximizing this advantage was undoubtedly the focus of this design.
Clearly, this hedgehog-like fortification had achieved that.
“Be ready, I’m going to withdraw now…”
Lide’s voice carried an inevitable tone of fatigue.
Though the terrifying regenerative ability of the Ancestor Bloodline kept his body in perfect condition, casting spells still consumed spiritual power.
Maintaining the Thunder God Descent, a Four Circle Magic, every second for five consecutive Sunshine Hours demanded a horrifying amount of spiritual power.
Even a Transcendent wouldn’t withstand such continuous drain over five Sunshine Hours; sustaining Four Circle Magic for even one Sunshine Hour was the stuff of myth.
Had he not undergone Divine Baptism and possessed a noble bloodline, he would have been drained dry.
“Your Majesty, we await your command!”
Harrison and Emi stood together on a wooden tower outside the stone city walls, with solemn expressions.
Lide took a deep breath, gazed through the raging thunder and lightning at the Mad Rat Divine Country across the Space Gate, and vanished on the spot with a whoosh.
Without the obstruction of the thunder, the Fierce Half-Ratmen surged out of the Space Gate like a tidal wave.
The scene was enough to make anyone with claustrophobia shiver in horror.
And the Meat-winged Half-rat followed, soaring into the sky at that moment.
The servants of the divine had been released.
But just a second before the Fierce Half-Ratmen could spread.
“Fire!”
A furious shout resulted in the Fierce Half-Ratmen suffering the most severe assault.
Whistling arrows shot out en masse like locusts.
The crossbows, enhanced and innovated by the Half-Elves, were nothing the bodily engrouped Half-Ratmen could withstand.
Blood splattered in that moment, and the bodies of the Fierce Half-Rat people, riddled like hedgehogs, instantaneously carpeted the ground.
In just a dozen breaths, a stack of corpses had piled up several blades high in front of the Space Gate.
This sight was terrifying.
In contrast, the Fierce Half-Ratmen couldn’t do anything against the mountain-like city wall.
The wall, five blades thick, was sturdier than steel. As the Fierce Half-Ratmen charged with a bloodthirsty vigor, they tragically found that they couldn’t match the towering height of such walls.
Thirty blades–that was a deadly height.
Even if the Fierce Half-Ratmen wanted to climb it, it would take a great effort, but the surrounding archers wouldn’t give them the chance.
The sound of the arrows whistling through the air was like the roar of demons, and the number of fierce half-ratmen was so great that aiming was unnecessary–simply drawing the bow and shooting would ensure a hit.
At this moment, Lide quietly appeared on a wooden tower outside the rock city walls; Emi was directing this siege.
The wooden tower was forty blades high, allowing those on it to easily shoot over the rock walls and strike the enemy inside.
There were thirty wooden platforms, each tower having two levels, with each level accommodating twenty people–typically, twenty Blood Clan spellcasters plus twenty human archers, for a total of forty people per tower.
This totalled up to 1200 people in thirty wooden towers.
This second line of defense completely compensated for the blind spots that the shooting holes could not reach, firmly suppressing the morale of the fierce half-ratmen.
“Emi, report the situation.”
Lide, with his hands on the railing of the wooden tower, looked down at the Space Gate being tightly surrounded, his expression quite satisfied.
This was the benefit of having power.
Had he been a lone ranger, he might still be taking potions and enduring the fierce onslaught of the half-ratmen, instead of standing aside and watching his subordinates slaughter the enemy.
It was a real massacre.
Although fierce and domineering, the fierce half-ratmen, when facing over 5000 arrows targeting them without any blind spots, were nothing more than prey to be hunted.
Sharp arrows, capable of tearing through the armor of warriors with ease, had no trouble piercing the completely exposed skin of the half-ratmen.
The only danger to the defense line came from the meat-winged half-ratmen flying in from above, but their flying speed was not fast, and in the heavy rain of arrows, they too often fell easily.
Moreover, even if they broke through the barrage of arrows, there were several hundred level ten Dawn Bats hovering above; escaping was virtually a dream.
“Yes, Your Highness.”
Emi responded immediately upon hearing this.
This second-generation Bloodline, after returning to Dawn City, quickly took control of the Dawn Mage Tower again with his own prestige and was immediately put to significant use by Lide; this siege of the fierce half-ratmen was led by this blasphemer.
“We’ve pulled in all the giants and spellcasters to build the defense fortress; currently, the whole defensive structure is divided into two defense rings.
The first ring is this circular fortress, taking the Space Gate as the starting point, and within a radius of hundred blades, a rock city wall has been constructed, thirty blades high and five blades wide.
The city wall is built up to nine levels, each level accommodating 500 people with 1000 shooting holes, the ninth level is guarded by warriors–this defense wall alone has a total of 8000 shooting holes.
The thirty wooden towers behind serve as an additional fire support, with reserves behind the wall; if the fire suppression is not enough, the reserves behind the walls immediately engage in a projectile attack.”
Emi paused here in her exposition, giving Lide some time to think before she continued.
“The second defensive ring is currently under construction, expected to be completed in three to four weeks.
The scope is to take the Space Gate as the starting point and extend backwards by 500 blades, forming a circular perimeter with a diameter of a thousand blades, the wall height being eighty blades…”
Hearing this, Lide’s expression became quite peculiar.
Is this the productivity of the Magic World??
When the power of spellcasters and giants was all invested into production, the capability they unleashed was not only surprising to him but astounding.
However, Lide was still curious and asked,
“Why can the construction be completed so quickly this time?”
Harrison then explained.
“Your Highness, the construction of Grey Stone Castle in the Underworld has given us a lot of experience, and this defense circle was also part of the original plans at that time, and the construction department even built a small fortress as an experiment, but it was not widely implemented.
So when we told the construction department about the situation, they immediately came up with this plan.”
“They have the technological reserves, the workers, and even a space gate that opens directly into the mountains–all the essentials are in place, so naturally the construction speed won’t be slow.”
Lide nodded slightly, satisfied as he watched the construction of the defense ring before his eyes, the shock of the spectacle particularly intense.
No wonder cities as vast as Green City had city walls as high as fifty or sixty blades, once mages start moving bricks, they’re practically invincible.
“The power we have now is still insufficient, Emi, dispatch the Withered Bones, and also have Kap come here to oversee the battle.
Grote hasn’t returned to Green City, has he? Have him come over as well.
We need high-end combat power to guard this place.
And you all need to be extremely vigilant, although for now, the spatial passage opened by the God of Plague only allows level 10 Fierce Half-Ratmen to pass through.
But the future could change, and if the enemy were to send all level 10 Fierce Half-Ratmen, any negligence could certainly pose a significant danger to us.”
Lide’s tone was chilling. Although the Land of Bone-Burying was the main battlefield for Dawn City, their enemies on the other side were Divine.
They absolutely must not be careless!
“Also, have the army ready to rotate. This war won’t be over in just a couple of days; it might last months or even years…
Do not, out of negligence, cause unnecessary losses.”
“Yes, Your Majesty,” Emi and Harrison replied in unison.
After giving his orders, Lide took another look at the battlefield.
The space gate, thirty blades long and ten blades high, was not small, but amid the terrifying firepower around, these Fierce Half-Ratmen still couldn’t find a chance to break through.
Just then, a level 10 Fierce Half-Ratmen with spines protruding from its back emerged from the space gate extremely alert, using its powerful talent and sensing abilities to dodge dozens of arrows, evading attacks that could penetrate stone.
To break out–only by breaking out of this cage could it completely obey its master’s command.
It planted all four limbs on the ground and burst forward.
The terrifying speed created dozens of afterimages, and then, using its sharp claws, the Fierce Half-Ratman climbed the walls, the thirty-blade high wall not posing much of a barrier, and finally, it actually made it onto the wall.
Seeing the scene beyond the wall, a brutal smile hung on the corners of the Fierce Half-Ratman’s mouth, it even fantasized about the rewards it would receive after a grand killing spree.
But then, a white light flashed in its eyes, and the level 10 Fierce Half-Ratman felt a chill at its neck, then was flung back more than ten blades high, its consciousness blurring before it saw a headless body fall from the wall.
“Hold on!!! Watch out for the rats attacking from below!!”
The shout came from a Bloodsucking Sword Guard who had just decapitated the Half-Ratman. As powerful warriors, they were also integrated into the defensive troops.
This was a war personally ordered by the great monarch, and no one dared take it lightly.
Seeing this, Lide’s expression relaxed a bit.
He once again focused on the source of this calamity–the Divine head.
The head, which he had suppressed with the power of space next to the twelve-layer White Bone Altar, was giving off a chilling aura that made the surrounding troops walk around it, daring not to approach.
The aura of the Divine was too terrifying.
This head, imbued with rich Divine essence and already unsealed, had become Lide’s greatest temptation at the moment.
The opportunity for a breakthrough to transcendence was right before him.
What changes would occur to his Ancestor Bloodline after transcending?
Lide’s heart beat slightly faster.
