I Became the Billionaire's Fake Lover to Get My Revenge -
Chapter 107: Say My Name
Chapter 107: Say My Name
"William?" Anna called softly as she peeked into his room, her hands gripping the doorframe like a child too timid to step into someone else’s space. There was a hesitant vulnerability in her stance—fragile, uncertain, as though she wasn’t sure she was welcome.
"I knew you’d come," William said, rising from the bed with the slow, deliberate grace of a predator. He moved toward her with quiet intensity, his gaze locked on her. "Are you drunk?"
Anna gave a reluctant nod and finally stepped inside, shutting the door gently behind her. "How did you know I’d come?"
Well, the drunk part was probably obvious, she thought, wryly acknowledging her slightly unsteady movements.
William’s lips curved into a knowing smile as he ran his fingers through his tousled brown hair. He took another slow step forward, closing the gap between them with the quiet confidence that made Anna’s heart race.
"Isn’t it obvious?"
He stopped just in front of her, close enough for her to feel the heat of his skin. Then, with a gentleness that caught her completely off guard, he tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. His fingertips grazed her flushed cheek, leaving a trail of electricity in their wake. That single, fleeting touch made her knees tremble.
The atmosphere in the room was heavy with unspoken emotion—dimmed lights casting shadows on the walls, the scent of his cologne mingling with the soft night air drifting through the open window, and the faint rustle of leaves whispering outside.
"Ah!" A sudden shift pulled her off balance, jolting her from her thoughts. Startled, she looked down with wide eyes—only to find herself lifted into the air.
"Will!" she gasped, staring up at him in surprise.
"What?" His grin widened, eyes gleaming with mischief. "Don’t like being swept off your feet?"
"Quite literally!" she retorted playfully, wrapping her arms around his shoulders as he swept her up and carried her toward the bed.
The moment her back met the soft, cool silk sheets, a breathy gasp escaped her lips—louder than she intended—while William hovered over her, his dark eyes burning with intensity as they locked onto hers.
"The second you found out you’d become one of my shareholders, your expression changed. You went all quiet," he murmured, studying her face closely. "What was it that brought you down so suddenly?"
Anna said nothing. She couldn’t. The words were lodged in her throat, weighed down by a sadness too heavy to share. It wasn’t shame that silenced her—it was the raw ache of something unspoken, something that felt almost too personal to name.
William’s playful smile slowly faded. His brows drew together, his thoughts spiraling into another storm of conflicted emotions.
This woman lying in front of me... I shaped her. Every reaction, every feeling, every tear—it’s all because of me. It’s only natural she keeps coming back, even if I’m the reason she’s falling apart. But... does she feel anything real for me? Anything beyond this chaos I keep dragging her into?
I need to know.Whatever it is she feels when she reaches for me—I want to feel it too. I want to know I’m not just the storm, but her shelter, too.
"Anna," he said suddenly, his voice quiet but commanding, pulling her from her thoughts. "Say my name."
She blinked, surprised by the unexpected request. She had said his name countless times before, so why did it suddenly feel different now—weightier, more intimate?
"Say it," he repeated, his voice deeper now, edged with urgency. "Say my name."
"Will."His name slipped from her lips in a soft, breathy sigh—and something in the way she said it, so vulnerable and sincere, ignited a raw, primal hunger in William’s eyes.
Without another word, he drew in a shaky, desperate breath and crashed his mouth onto hers, kissing her with a sudden, overwhelming greed that stole the air from her lungs.
I don’t care what you look like, or what your name is. You live because of me—so you belong to me. Every flaw, every scar, every broken piece—I want it all. The pain, the grief, the fear... I’ll fix it. I’ll fix you. Just stay with me. Stay by my side.
"Were you afraid I’d abandon you?" he whispered against her lips after finally pulling away, giving her a moment to breathe.
Anna gasped, her chest heaving, eyes fluttering open as though she had just emerged from deep water. "Yes..."
A slow smirk curled on William’s lips. His warm hands glided down her sides, fingers lingering at the silk belt of her robe. He toyed with it for a moment before pulling it loose, letting the fabric fall open.
The sight of her bare body made his breath hitch. His muscles tensed, but he leaned down again, his lips grazing her neck, then her shoulders, each kiss sending heat through her blood."Then say it," he murmured, his breath hot against her skin, almost scalding. "Tell me not to do this again. Tell me to hold you so tightly the world disappears. Tell me you never want to be let go."
"I..." Anna bit down on her lower lip, swallowing the moan rising in her throat. "I want you to hold me... and never let me go. Please."
Her fingers wrapped around his wrists, guiding his hands upward until they cupped her breasts. A low, breathy chuckle rumbled from William’s chest, but he didn’t resist her touch—in that moment, he followed her lead.
"You’re so naughty," he murmured with a teasing glint in his eyes, withdrawing his hands only to trail them slowly down her body, his touch deliberate, almost reverent, as he gently coaxed her legs apart.
Anna gasped when his fingers brushed over her most sensitive spot, sending a jolt of pleasure through her that made her thighs tremble. A soft moan escaped her lips—unrestrained, sultry, and far more provocative than she’d intended.
How could I ever let anyone else see her like this? No. Never. She’s mine.Anna Adler... until the very end, you breathe because of me. You live for me. You belong to me. All of you—your voice, your body, your soul—is mine.
"Anna," he groaned her name low and rough, and the sound of it sent a rush of tingles down her spine. Her skin broke out in goosebumps as though every nerve had awakened at once.
"Tell me you’re mine," he demanded, voice thick with need.
"I am," she answered without hesitation, as though the words had always lived on the tip of her tongue. "I’m yours."
A satisfied smirk tugged at William’s lips. "Good girl."
Before she could utter another word, he captured her mouth in another searing kiss—hungry, unrelenting—while his hands roamed over her body with fervent intent, igniting sparks in his wake that left her breathless and burning.

I can’t believe I said all of that while drunk!
Anna groaned inwardly, her fingers tugging at her hair in frustration. For God’s sake, Anna! You should know better than to show up at his place like that after drinking. What must he think of you now? It had already been four days, and she hadn’t seen him at home even once. Ugh. What a mess.
She straightened up quickly, smoothing the tension from her face just as the waiter approached her table and placed a tall glass of chilled orange juice in front of her.
"Are you ready to order, Miss?" he asked politely.
"Not yet," she replied, shaking her head with a polite smile. "I’m still waiting for someone to join me."
The waiter gave a small nod and walked away. Anna let out a soft sigh before lifting the glass and draining half its contents in a single gulp.
Stay calm, she reminded herself, shifting her gaze toward the restaurant’s entrance. Aunt Lillian will be here any minute. You need to play your part perfectly.
There was no point in dragging this out. She intended to drive the final nail into Lillian’s coffin today. Anna was almost certain her aunt had borrowed money from someone dangerous to fund the fake startup.
As cruel as it might seem to pull the rug out from under her so soon, Anna wanted nothing more than to watch Lillian’s world collapse—crumbling into a pit of despair and ruin.
"Miss Dumas!"
Lillian’s bright voice broke through her thoughts as she slid into the seat across from Anna. "I wasn’t expecting to hear from you so soon. Is everything alright?"
"No," Anna said, shaking her head, her expression shifting into one of quiet disappointment. "As a matter of fact, nothing is alright. The startup... it’s not going to happen."
"What?!" Lillian cried out, her voice rising loud enough to draw the attention of nearby diners. "What do you mean by that?!"
"Mrs. Adler, please," Anna frowned slightly, casting a stern glare across the table. "Everyone is watching. It’s just as I said—the project has been shut down. There was a security breach last night. A hacker attack, perhaps. All the code was stolen."
"Stolen?! What does that mean for us? What about our money?!"
Anna let out a carefully measured sigh, doing her best to maintain the facade of sorrow and defeat. "It’s all gone. Every investor lost their funds... including me."
Lillian’s complexion turned ghostly pale, her lips parting as her eyes filled with panic. Anna watched with quiet satisfaction as despair overtook the woman—every flicker of hope extinguished in real time. She had never imagined that witnessing someone unravel so completely could feel this gratifying.
"I can’t believe this..." Lillian whispered, her voice distant and unsteady, like someone on the verge of a breakdown. "All that money... It was a scam from the beginning!"
"No," Anna replied coolly, her frown deepening now that the need for pretense was fading. "These things happen. But... it’s odd, isn’t it? The breach occurred the very night your name was added to the investors’ list."
Her words struck like a match. Lillian’s body tensed, and her eyes narrowed with suspicion as she leaned forward.
"What are you trying to say?"
Anna leaned in as well, her voice dropping to a near-whisper. "Mrs. Adler... do you have enemies?"
Lillian hesitated. Of course she did—everyone she had ever borrowed from likely loathed her by now. But that wasn’t the kind of answer Anna was after.
"Think," Anna pressed, her voice firm. "Is there anyone in the tech industry who wouldn’t want you to succeed by investing in this business?"
A flicker of realization lit up Lillian’s features. Her eyes widened as she slowly looked up at Anna, lips trembling as she finally whispered a name.
"Yes... Robert. Robert Hyde."
"Oh? You don’t say..."
