The beginning can be rough for people to get through, but in my opinion the author does get better. It has a wonderful concept and the writing took some time to get better. The first chapters can feel like a slog, but at the same time that's the point? Its not suppose to be some easy universe where everything handed on a silver platter. The MC has to constantly adapt and change because this world is meant to be unfair.

Great concept, awfully written.
Long winded, author let's you know MC's every thought.
Constant info dumps, author has no idea how to show us anything about the world, he can only tell you and he feels obligated to do it constantly.
And just a bitch of an MC, at 90 chapters it does not feel like he is getting stronger at all, he's struggling the same amount as a super xenomorph/thing hybrid as he did when he was basically a scorpion.
And the author, like so many others, can't write stealth worth shit. MC=always noticed, not MC=always successful ambush.
Don't waste your time, it ain't worth it.
