Chapter 919: Chapter 915 The Oncoming Behemoth

At the forefront of the strong fighters, a woman waved her weapon and then pointed indifferently at the Death Knight, "Kill him!"

No one spoke, but someone silently stepped forward to confront the Dead Knight Corps, snatching the Peace Party badge from his hand. After examining its contents, he sneered coldly, "Looks like you hold a high position within the Peace Party, but you won’t have the chance to enjoy all that you’ve gained after today."

The other party clearly knew that, in this apocalyptic world, those who feared death were concerned about one thing: "I’ve worked so hard for all this; I can’t just die so easily."

However, contrary to his expectations, the Death Knight’s face did not show the expression he had imagined; instead, it revealed an indescribable, extremely extreme expression.

"For peace and... Victory!"

"Victory?"

He was startled, quickly becoming angry, then punched, smashing the Level 4 Death Knight to the ground. However, as the latter fell, he did not attempt to rise immediately, but rather sneered, "If I wasn’t injured right now, do you think you could beat me? In an environment with just the two of us, you would die a miserable death!"

Of course the other party would disagree, and responded with a cold sneer, "Really?"

"You’re unaware, aren’t you? Four of your people have already died by my hand. My life for the lives of four of you, it’s worth it!"

The other party frowned but then thought of something. What use was it for the Death Knight to kill more? After all, it’s not like he was killing his own people—worry about what? His frown soon eased. Killing four Level 4 New Humans with the power of the same level demonstrated that the man before him was indeed talented.

"To have killed four of our own, it seems you are a rare talent indeed. You should know who I am, right?" he said with a self-satisfied look on his face.

"You think you’re something special? Sorry, I don’t know who you are."

The Death Knight’s words made his expression freeze, his ruddy cheeks turning the color of a liver in an instant.

"You... Fine, it doesn’t matter if you don’t know. I am the owner of the Fifth Street Entertainment Hall, known to many in the United District and one of the senior members of Fifth Street, how about that?"

No sooner had he finished speaking than the Death Knight looked at him with an almost mocking smile, the scorn in his eyes indescribable. He didn’t understand why this high-ranking member of an underground force, who was merely a Level 4 New Human, had anything to be arrogant about.

"So what is your point?"

"My point is simple. Join Fifth Street, and I will spare your life."

"Spare my life, haha! Listen well, I don’t need it! I will remain loyal to my organization until the moment I die!"

"How ungrateful!"

His words enraged the other, who saw no further point in talking since things had been made so clear.

"For a dying man who dares not cherish a chance at life, go then, accompany the Peace Party in death!"

"Come, Long Live the Peace Party!"

The air was filled with an intense aura of solemnity. At his cry, the expressions on the strong fighters gathered there turned ugly, and one of them, lurking in a corner, looked towards the nearby Death Knight and said calmly, "Perhaps we’ll never understand the cohesion and charm of a dictatorial regime, nor know how many more like him there are within the Peace Party."

Her voice was soft, faint, not particularly insistent, as if speaking to those around her or muttering to herself.

"Kill him, he’s beyond reason."

Someone ahead spoke out, and several of the strong fighters silently took up arms against the Death Knight, but the very next second, everyone’s steps halted.

The ground was trembling, as if something huge was rushing toward this place.

"What is it?"

"Everyone, on guard?"

Surviving up to now, especially with strong characters on site, meant their perception was naturally beyond that of normal humans, and they could be alerted by the slightest rustling of leaves.

"What on earth is that thing?"

The sensation of movement transferred from the ground to their feet was intensifying at an extremely fast pace, causing some of the strong characters to feel uneasy. Just after several of them voiced their confusion, suddenly a loud roar sounded not far away.

Then, in the next second, the building beside them crashed down with a "boom," concrete debris scattering everywhere. Before the crowd could react, a giant creature appeared before their eyes.

"F*ck!"

Someone cursed loudly, and then their body was struck and sent flying. They hadn’t had the chance to observe what the giant creature looked like before the world turned white with the bone spikes entwined around its head engulfing their view!

Roar!

The zombie’s roar echoed through the area, and as the beast smashed through buildings without losing momentum, its thick limbs propelled its massive body straight into the crowd. In an instant, a long clear path was plowed through the hundreds of strong characters gathered, sending dozens flying through the air, while a few unfortunate souls were immediately impaled through their vitals by the dense bone spikes atop the beast’s head, blood uncontrollably gushing out.

Their bodies were dragged dozens of meters away by the beast before they stopped breathing.

Hu~roar~!

The beast threw back its head and let out a furious roar, tearing the corpses hanging from its head to pieces; blood and flesh exploded, drenching the strong characters below.

Its mouth, much like a flower petal, gaped wide after it passed through the crowd of strong characters and quickly turned in another direction, excitement filling its crimson eyes!

Roar!

The zombie’s roar sounded once more, stirring up the wind and clouds, as the anti-life matter detectors at the strong characters’ waists went off with an alarm simultaneously.

"Zombie! It’s a Level 5 zombie!"

"Damn it, knew there would be zombies coming."

"Let’s scatter, everyone scatter!"

The strong characters were panic-stricken, caught off guard by the sudden zombie appearance; fighting zombies was not like fighting humans, it was complicated, and they were in a human sanctuary to boot.

Just the beast’s initial charge alone, never mind the deaths, meant anyone hit would be injured.

"Ma De, the Peace Party is nothing but a cult, we must overthrow it!"

After the Level 5 zombie beast’s first charge, the strong characters promptly scattered in different directions, though many among them were an exception; upon seeing a Level 5 zombie appear, their eyes showed not fear of a zombie more advanced than themselves, but rather extreme excitement.

"What are you doing? That’s a Level 5 zombie!"
