Suddenly hearing Ning Yu’er’s scream, the giant zombie turned its attention to her, a terrifying grin spread across his face as it started to move towards the dormitory building.

Tang Ye’s motionless body suddenly began to laugh. Then, with his only remaining hand, he grabbed onto the iron rod that had penetrated him and, with a shake, stood back up!

"Haha, I’m not dead! Great!"

Tang Ye felt pleased. There was no sensation of pain, which was great. He watched the giant evolved zombie heading towards the dorm room, his eyes landing on the crowbar still lodged in its skull, a ruthless light flickering within his gaze.

Tang Ye moved his legs again and charged, his alternating legs seemingly leaving behind an afterimage.

"I have to be fast!"

"Faster!"

"Even faster!"

A line of blood slithered down Tang Ye’s forehead, the dark red blood seeping out drop by drop. He ran as if putting all his strength into it, like a high-speeding race car, his eyes blazing with deadly intent that could send chills down one’s spine!

He reached out his right hand, leaped onto the zombie’s back with a single stride, grabbed hold of the crowbar, then suddenly threw himself into the air. The rapid motion stopped abruptly, but the massive inertia sent the giant zombie skidding!

"Die!"

SLOSH!

Its skull couldn’t withstand the force brought by Tang Ye. It cracked open and its moist brain matter was flung out, tracing an arc in the air before falling to the ground. The giant zombie stood there, stupefied like a robot that had suddenly been deactivated, then toppled over with a loud crash!

"Hahahaha!" Tang Ye was ecstatic!

His body also fell to the ground, the friction with the road producing a loud noise.

As he opened the door, he saw Ning Yu’er, tear tracks visible on her face. He gave her a smile, trying to convey that he was okay, but before he could do anything else, Ning Yu’er threw herself at him.

"Little Mister, don’t die! Please, don’t die..."

Tang Ye wanted to reach up and pat her on the head, but then realized his left arm was gone. He couldn’t do anything; his right hand was still being held by her!

"Little Mister...this...this hole...are you okay?" Ning Yu’er looked at Tang Ye’s hollowed-out chest, and asked in a color-drained voice.

Tang Ye wanted to shake his head to signal that he was fine, but his head was so dizzy. The world seemed to tilt, and he almost toppled over. Ning Yu’er paled and anxiously said, "Little Mister, get up! I’ll help you, you can’t force yourself, please, I beg you...sob..."

She helped Tang Ye towards a room, but Tang Ye felt a wave of dizziness, and his body felt incredibly weak. He suddenly slumped to the floor!

The moment the crystal hit his mouth, it melted. Tang Ye didn’t feel any different, but when he looked at Ning Yu’er, who was sobbing uncontrollably, a sort of tenderness flashed in his eyes, and then... then he closed them.

A huge surge of energy suddenly exploded within his body, flowing through every part of him. Tang Ye winced, but then relaxed again.

Ning Yu’er was shocked. She hastily reached for Tang Ye’s breath, forgetting that zombies don’t breathe, and felt nothing.

"Little Mister, please wake up, I... I promise to stop causing you trouble in the future, I’m sorry, please...don’t die, I beg you, sob... I’m sorry!"

Ning Yu’er embraced Tang Ye tightly, crying, her tears mixing with the blood on Tang Ye’s clothes.
