With the falling of the soldier, the clattering of the Gejin-114 Gatling he was manning ceased. Alerted, another nearby soldier prepared to inquire about the situation. However, before he opened his mouth, a shadow flashed by, and searing pain coursed through his neck!

Xu Haishui gave the man’s neck a brutal tear, taking a chunk of flesh in his mouth and quickly swallowing it down.

After glancing at the two Gejin-114s, Xu Haishui began to haul one of them towards the adjacent museum.

When the Pseudo-dragon bit him, Ah Fu was not afraid at all. He roared defiantly, swung his massive fist, and smashed it into the Pseudo-dragon’s teeth!

Standing ten meters tall, Ah Fu was robust and sizeable, so the Pseudo-dragon’s mouth fell short of swallowing him whole. Yet, as Ah Fu’s punch landed on the Pseudo-dragon’s teeth, the dragon’s jaw clenched shut, snagging Ah Fu’s hand and, with a jerk of its neck, severed the sturdy arm!

Pssh~

With a flick of its head, the Pseudo-dragon discarded Ah Fu’s arm. It showed no interest in the tasteless zombie, but it did remind it of a zombie it had encountered long ago.

At that time, severely injured, it had to run from the zombie because it lacked the strength to fight. After escaping, it returned to find all its offspring gone - only broken eggshells remained floating in its cave!

A Level 5 evolved beast is rather intelligent, although not to the degree of a normal human, it’s comparable to a pre-teen kid.

Its memory retained this incident for a long time.

This matter had always lingered in its mind. That zombie smelled just like the one it was fighting now, devoid of any scent it desired, only the stench of decay which it despised.

Moreover, it didn’t know what happened to its offspring...about those hundreds of eggs of it. Limited intelligence led it to believe that the zombie was the culprit!

Just as every mother loves her children, the thought of its children all being devoured by a disgusting creature filled the Pseudo-dragon with rage. The zombie in front of it reeked just like that zombie, and it hated it!

After spitting out Ah Fu’s detached arm, the immense dragon surged forward, slamming the 10-meter tall Ah Fu high into the air. A Level 5 dragon against a Level 4 Ah Fu, its strength was evident at a glance!

Ah Fu didn’t even have time to react. His body was thrown into the air, and before he could respond, the Pseudo-dragon attacked again!

Quickly twisting its massive body, it generated a storm of gusts around it, swaying with extraordinary power and intimidating zest!

With its body swiftly rotating, the Pseudo-dragon’s tail lashed out at the airborne Ah Fu with a force as if tearing through space.

SMACK!

Before even hitting the target, the dragon’s tail caused a deafening sonic boom due to its high-speed movement, and then slammed into Ah Fu!

BOOM!

A cloud of dark red blood splattered in the air. Ah Fu was left with less than half of its body intact in an instant but still survived. Falling to the ground, only the upper half of Ah Fu remained, everything below its chest was completely gone!

Flesh rained down from the sky. The soldiers running for their lives noticed the incident. At first, they were excited to see a Level 4 zombie and a Level 5 evolved beast fighting, expecting a good show. But seeing Ah Fu getting obliterated by the Pseudo-dragon, they hastily retreated!

Xu Haishui, having just exited the museum and intending to haul another Gejin-114, happened to see Ah Fu being battered by the Pseudo-dragon’s tail. Startled, he swiftly ran towards Ah Fu to check if it was dead yet.

The distant Tang Ye, although frowning, breathed out a sigh of relief. He could sense Ah Fu’s condition; it was still alive, albeit severely injured.

However, for a zombie, as long as it was not dead, it could recover.

That’s why Tang Ye breathed a sigh of relief. Ah Fu was deeply loyal to him. Even the most ruthless person would not let a loyal subordinate die easily.

As Xu Haishui rushed towards Ah Fu, the giant dragon fixed its gaze on him. In its eyes, Ah Fu was as good as dead, but here was another one, a person who smelt exactly like Ah Fu. It was a zombie!

The dragon abhorred zombies. The feud of losing its children made its hatred towards zombies equal to the hatred it bore for humans!

The Pseudo-dragon crawled towards Xu Haishui. Tang Ye was taken aback, and his face promptly turned cold as a chilling aura emanated from him.

The helicopters hovering above the Pseudo-dragon noticed Xu Haishui. Their anti-biohazard detectors instantly revealed Xu Haishui as a Level 4 zombie.

Immediately, four or five helicopters peeled off and headed towards Xu Haishui.

Tang Ye noticed this, but he didn’t think they were going to help Xu Haishui. Humans repulsed zombies more than they did evolved beasts!

After all, the collapse of human civilization was primarily due to zombies!

"Looks like it’s time to make a move," Tang Ye thought, his face grim as he observed the unfolding situation.

The Pseudo-dragon was faster than the helicopters and bulldozed through obstacles on its way towards Xu Haishui!

Xu Haishui was not far from Ah Fu and could reach it in just two to three minutes by foot, let alone running.

But was a Level 5 evolution beast something one could easily dodge? Despite its massive form, when it started moving, it was noticeably faster than Xu Haishui, a barely Level 4 zombie, in terms of defence power!

In just ten seconds or so, it reached Xu Haishui’s front. Astonished and scared, Xu Haishui prepared to retreat.

He didn’t expect the Pseudo-dragon to move so fast!

It opened its jaw wider, aiming to kill Xu Haishui in a single bite, as the helicopters trailing it ceased their fire.

The fight between the evolved beast and the zombie made for a show that some enjoyed.

ROAR!

The Pseudo-dragon let out a roar, ducked its head, and lunged at Xu Haishui. His face changed drastically, thinking: "Should have known better than to get involved with that oaf!"

With that thought, Xu Haishui knew it was too late for regrets, and right at that moment, Tang Ye took action.

Standing on a tree branch, Tang Ye clenched both fists, producing a resounding grinding noise from his joints. He swung his arms backwards, the muscles on his shoulders bulged, making him appear like a standing colossal bear!

With a cold and malicious stare fixed on the hundred-meter-long Pseudo-dragon, the wings on his back spread open, and he shot towards the sky!

The audience, still oblivious to the seriousness of the situation, found their helicopters shaking violently, nose-diving towards the dragon, just as the dragon was about to engulf Xu Haishui.

"What’s happening!"
