Chapter 33: Chapter 33 Evolution, Level 1 Zombie_1

Right ahead was a T-junction, there was no way forward, the dwarf zombie would have to turn. With the distance between the two zombies being just over fifty meters, Tang Ye didn’t know why the dwarf zombie was running, but now there wasn’t much hope of catching it. Moreover, Tang Ye was driving at quite a speed, would he be able to make the turn in a split second?

What completely startled Tang Ye was that the dwarf zombie did not turn into the closer left road, but rather took a right turn at a distance. Witnessing this, Tang Ye was filled with a glimmer of hope and steering the wheel fiercely to the right!

Zzzz~

Bang!

The distance between the car and the solitary zombie instantly closed in, with the front of the car crashed right into the dwarf zombie’s body, charging wildly into a shop entrance and pinned it against the wall!

"Die!"

Tang Ye felt a tremendous inertia, the safety airbag in the steering wheel inflated instantly, protecting Tang Ye. Even so, a regular person would have been bleeding profusely from the impact, but Tang Ye felt no pain.

Of course, that’s how he perceived it, but, he knew that several parts of his body had already snapped!

Stumbling out of the car, Tang Ye looked at his leg, twisted and deformed. However, he wasn’t overly concerned. If there were no issues after crashing at such high speed, that would be stranger!

Staggering towards the car bonnet, Tang Ye saw the cracked wall and the deformed front of the car, and between them a puddle of mushed flesh and blood mixed with black clothes, the dwarf zombie was left with only a head.

It was still alive. As long as the head was intact, it opened its mouth, revealing rows of stained teeth, but it could make no sound.

Roar~

Tang Ye glared into its eyes and let out a terrifying sound, then took up a crowbar and plunged it mercilessly into the zombie.

"Lanlan, uncle has avenged you and your mother!" Tang Ye somberly said in his heart.

He cracked open the zombie’s skull, exposing a brain as desiccated as that of the giant zombie. Tang Ye reached in, stirred it around, and pulled out a blob of transparent "jelly," just like what was found in the giant zombie’s head.

Tang Ye was taken aback, he had no idea why there would be such a substance in a zombie’s brain. Was this the culmination of all the zombies? Did he have one too in his brain?

Tang Ye wanted to eat it right away, but he hesitated. He did not know when to take a bite, but Honglin High School Dormitory still had a lovely girl waiting for him.

But thinking it over, Tang Ye decided it’d be best to eat it anyway.

He tossed it into his mouth. The "jelly" melted as soon as it touched his mouth, turning into an immense stream of energy that shot through his body. In that instant, Tang Ye felt a little warmth in his body, different from the last time.

The energy divided into several parts and flowed to his abdomen through different meridians, slowly growing hotter until it transformed into waves of pain. Tang Ye suddenly felt as if his body was about to be torn apart by invisible hands.

Roar!!!

He let out a miserable roar, attracting the zombies that were outside the store. Upon realizing it was Tang Ye, the zombies didn’t immediately run away as usual but began to slowly surround him as if they were his loyal subjects!

Tang Ye couldn’t care less about their actions. He was in so much agony, as if he, a zombie who could normally perceive pain, had been injured countless times and now all the undetected pains had accumulated and descended upon him at once.

Bang!

Tang Ye collapsed onto the ground, unable to bear the pain any longer and passed out. His body was undergoing some drastic transformations!

Meanwhile, in the girls’ dormitory of Honglin High School.

Ning Yu’er had already washed and hung up the clothes Tang Ye had left behind on the balcony, but Tang Ye hadn’t returned. She went to the dormitory’s entrance and curled up her legs, though her face was expressionless, her eyes were filled with sorrow!

"Little Mister... Are you... are you back yet? Uh...uh... I’m scared... Can you come back soon? Uh..."

On Tang Ye’s end, his body was slowly growing, only stopping after it breeze past two meters in height. Surprisingly, his palms split open by themselves, slowly oozing out a dark red liquid.

Swish!

The blood in his palms seemed like it was being sucked dry, the blood flow ceased. In its place, sharp teeth emerged, almost as if a mouth had formed. From the palms of both hands, a white bone whip shot out, the tip of the whip was shaped like a right-angled triangle, gleaming with cold light, leaving no doubt about its sharpness!

God knows how much time had passed, the dark purple blood vessels on Tang Ye’s body became more dense, becoming even more robust. His ten fingers were covered in a transparent white film, caused to keratinize, turning into sharp dragon-like claws!

A few hours passed in a blink of an eye, the sky had long become dark, with the moon just hanging in the night sky. It was so clear and bright, as if a giant eye of an evil god was staring at the entire earth!

Tang Ye’s body twitched, and then he regained consciousness. He got up from the ground and cast a bewildered gaze at the crowd of zombies surrounding him. As he regained consciousness, the zombies scampered away in all directions!

Tang Ye clenched his fist, feeling a surge of unprecedented power! He felt like he could overturn a car singlehandedly!

"What on earth... am I at its level now, evolved? " Tang Ye glanced at the now still body of the dwarf zombie.

"Is this evolution?" Tang Ye was overjoyed. If the previous giant zombie were to stand before him now, he felt he could give it a fair fight!

However, his happiness didn’t last long, his heart started pounding against his chest, beginning to feel restless. Tang Ye froze, this feeling came again much like a sudden whim. Last time it appeared, Lanlan and her mother were inflicted harm. This time around...

"It’s her! Oh no!" Ning Yu’er’s face immediately popped into Tang Ye’s mind, and with a "whoosh," he rushed out of the store, knocking over several zombies that had just scattered after their "guarding duty."

Without realizing the speed at which he was moving, Tang Ye was frightened by his own speed. His current speed could match that of a driving car!

"What is this? Could it be that I’ve inherited the zombie’s speed?" Tang Ye mumbled to himself. But he didn’t dwell on it, right now he had to rush back to the dormitory as soon as possible, otherwise, he might regret it again. A girl who had washed clothes for him, he didn’t want her to get into any trouble!

On Ning Yu’er’s side, she had been waiting at the door for Tang Ye for a long time, but there was still no sign of him returning. She hated the scary darkness, she hated being left alone, she was anxious, flashes of Tang Ye in peril kept flashing in her mind, she couldn’t stand it any longer, she decided to go out and look for him and hence, she left the room.

"Little Mister, where are you?" She went outside, heedless of her own safety, she yelled for Tang Ye at the top of her voice, but she only attracteda zombie as formidable as the giant zombie!

Roar!

Her gaze shifted towards it, only to see a huge evolved zombie over two meters tall standing there. The fear in her heart magnified, she tried to yell for help but no sound came out from her mouth. She fell onto the ground, staring at the zombie as it pulled out a road lamp....
