Chapter 197: Chapter 195: Ten Thousand Corpses Kneel in Worship_1
The helicopter pilot, not quite understanding the situation, was quickly flying straight above Tang Ye. Ai Li had sent him a message to retreat, but by the time he saw it, it was too late.
The bone spurs on Ah Fu’s back began to tremble violently, each bulky spur shaking loose. The moment the helicopter flew just over his head, all the thick and thin bone spurs fled skywards, piercing the helicopter like a thousand wounds.
BOOM!
The deafening sound of an explosion echoed as the helicopter in the sky became a spectacular spark. Tang Ye gave a sly smile to the once arrogant girl above, using his unique hoarse voice, he taunted, "Is it desperate yet?"
Without looking at her expression, Tang Ye moved to Ah Fu’s side, giving his thick forelimb a pat, then with a forceful leap, flew upwards, landing steadily on its back.
"You three, get up. It’s time to go."
Chen Chaoyang and Li Xiaoyan exchanged glances, excitement flashing in their eyes. Riding a zombie as a mount was a first for them. They climbed on Ah Fu’s back chaotically, carefully choosing a spot to sit, afraid to anger Ah Fu.
Yan Jie hesitated for a moment, then with reverence in his eyes for Tang Ye, he too climbed onto Ah Fu’s back but didn’t dare to sit. In the exchange of looks with Chen Chaoyang and Li Xiaoyan, to everyone’s astonishment, they saw disbelief.
What happened today was truly astonishing!
ROAR!
With a roar, Ah Fu started to stride forward like a prehistoric giant beast, knocking away several incoming zombies, making his way towards the outskirts of the base.
Along the way, as the survivors looked at the sunset on the horizon and the gruesome view of the base, they felt a wave of desolation. This was once a place flourishing with human life.
Survivors chased by zombies were screaming, human blood and zombie blood intertwined together, severed limbs scattered everywhere. When Ah Fu arrived, many survivors were startled. When they saw the people sitting calmly on Ah Fu’s back, they were dumbstruck, lost in their bewilderment.
At this moment, they didn’t know how to describe their emotions.
What happened to this world?
That Level 3 zombie was so fierce!
But why were there people sitting on its back? Who can tell me why?
Why isn’t this terrifying zombie attacking them, but it’s even leading them away instead?
Why is this happening? Can anyone tell me why?
Amid the shock of the survivors, Chen Chaoyang, who was originally feeling desolate, suddenly began to feel smug. His earlier oppressive mood was swept away and he even waved at the survivors struggling for their lives.
Ignorant of the scene, Tang Ye stood with his hands behind him. Multiple strands of aura emanated from him, starting as mere probing, but gradually increasing until the entire aura was completely released.
Numerous zombies chasing survivors stopped simultaneously upon sensing the aura of a higher-level zombie than Ah Fu, staring blankly at the silhouette standing atop Ah Fu "the giant beast".
Looking down at the countless zombies, Tang Ye tilted his head, his mind buzzing, and a large group of zombies, following his will, kneeled one after another as if displaying their loyalty to the god they revered!
Amid the mass of zombies expressing their devotion, the survivors were startled. They looked around, not knowing what to do. They saw the zombies kneeling, many of them right in front of them. Had these creatures not kneeled, they might not have realized that these "people" were, in fact, zombies.
They stood in a daze, bewildered, gazing at Tang Ye standing handsomely on Ah Fu’s back, unable to comprehend why this was happening.
Seeing the scene unfold beneath them, the three were also left in shock. Regarding Tang Ye’s majestic silhouette, they had an illusion.
Could this be...the Zombie King?
The scene of zombies on both sides of the street bowing down to Tang Ye made the three of them believe that he was the supreme Zombie King!
Tang Ye’s hair, which he hadn’t cut since the apocalypse began, had grown to the length of his shoulders. It fluttered in the wind.
As Ah Fu carried Tang Ye, wherever they passed, countless zombies would kneel. However, once Tang Ye was far away, those zombies quickly stood up again and unleashed dreadful roars, pulling the nearby survivors back to reality and driving them to flee again.
Seeing Tang Ye’s godlike figure, the three felt a deep shock. The scene they were witnessing now was seared deeply into their hearts, a memory none of them would be able to forget in their lifetime.
With shock written on their faces, a group of soldiers from a distance saw the approaching Ah Fu. Each stride of its massive limbs caused a small tremor on the ground.
Under its iron hooves, whether survivor or zombie, all were trampled into a bloody pulp!
ROAR!
Tang Ye pulled back his aura unconsciously, his thumb cracking audibly as he stretched it. At that moment, Ah Fu let out a terrific roar, and its horrific aura spread out, frightening all the zombies and survivors on the street into retreating, making way for them.
The soldiers were terrified, each holding a rocket launcher aimed squarely at them, but they were too nervous to open fire.
Perhaps it was due to intense nervousness, one soldier, with his forehead slick with sweat, didn’t understand what was happening. It was okay for the survivors to give way, but what was up with those zombies? Why were they also clearing the way for him?
Who were the people on the back of that Level 3 zombie and why was this happening? Sweat from the intense shock trickled down his hand which held the rocket launcher. His slippery hand caused the trigger to slip, launching one rocket straight towards Ah Fu!
"No! Retreat quickly!"
"Was it that fool who did it? For f*ck’s sake!"
The soldiers were suddenly sweating buckets as they watched the rocket head straight towards Ah Fu.
Tang Ye narrowed his eyes. He originally wanted to simply leave the Yindan Base, but someone decided to go out of their way to cause trouble.
"It seems necessary to display my strength to intimidate them!"
The ground beneath Ah Fu shook slightly, as if sensing an attack. It was eager to take a defensive gesture. Tang Ye appeased the agitated Ah Fu. Suddenly, ten or more scale-covered tentacles emerged from his collar, heading straight towards the incoming rocket.
BOOM!
The rocket not too far away was triggered to explode, and all the other zombies knew that the man wearing the white mask was not a human, but a zombie, so they all attacked him!
