"Bring it over," she coldly ordered, and a soldier promptly rushed over with a black box in his hands.

Wen Yixian unapologetically snatched the box from him. As she opened it, two neatly arranged, yellow-green acid warheads were revealed inside!

Wen Yixian skilfully loaded them into the rocket launcher and aimed at the ruins where Tang Ye was buried!

"Heheh..."

Before Tang Ye could break free, a chilling voice resounded. Accompanying it was a rumbling sound as hundred blood-colored tentacles, reminiscent of the thousand-armed Guanyin, sprang from his back, lashing out directly towards Wen Yixian!

Unable to see outside, Tang Ye thrust his tentacles aimlessly, while Wen Yixian managed to dodge them. But luck wasn’t with the soldiers behind her. One by one, they were impaled and left as dried corpses!

"Damn it!"

Wen Yixian cursed, feeling a stab of pain seeing her lost soldiers. She had personally brought these men from another base; if they were from Yindan Base, she wouldn’t care, but these were her elite troops, far superior to the waste that occupied Yindan Base!

One less with every death!

Her gaze turned icy as she stared at the pile of rubble, murderous intent flickering in her eyes, as she patiently awaited Tang Ye’s emergence!

"Hahaha, h-heh~ So impressive!"

A pale, claw-like hand, donning an incongruous pink fluffy bracelet, stretched out from the rubble, grabbing a chunk of rock. A body emerged beneath it!

The man’s naked upper body was revealed in front of everyone—an exaggeration of muscles coiled around him like a Jiao Dragon. His shoulders bore large, thick, dark purple scales, reminiscent of cicada shells, appearing fearsome!

His upright body stood like an indomitable dragon slayer. But he was no hero. He was a demon! A Level 3 human-eating zombie!

Upon seeing Tang Ye, Wen Yixian’s face turned pale. Though she was aware that Tang Ye hadn’t died, his intact body was far better off than she’d imagined, save for a few shrapnel wounds and steady bleeding.

Tang Ye, bloody all over, yanked out a piece of shrapnel from his abdomen. He then looked up abruptly and glared at Wen Yixian’s party. His eyes were lit with absolute madness!

He opened his mouth to reveal two sharp triangular teeth, while displaying a chilling grin—making Wen Yixian and the soldiers involuntarily step back in fear.

"Heheh, heheh,"

The chilling laughter emanated from his mouth, filled with a terrifying intent to kill and abnormal bloodlust.

Given the state of Tang Ye, Wen Yixian gritted her teeth, unapologetically pulling the trigger, firing a shot directly at him!

The dark green acid grenade shot out trailing smoke, and Tang Ye instinctively used his other hand to shield his wrist bangle. He didn’t know why the shell was such an odd color but didn’t pay much attention to it!

He had underestimated his defensive abilities. Even the previous shell failed to incapacitate him, he feared nothing—this was his strength! He could slaughter without restraint!

His robust body made him arrogant! He didn’t even glance at the missile coming toward him but swerved to the side, sprinting straight toward Yan Zhaofeng!

Noticing Tang Ye’s movements, Wen Yixian scoffed, "Beasts will always be beasts; they have no brains!"

After she spoke, she pressed the yellow button on the rocket launcher- the acid grenade, flying beside Tang Ye, exploded suddenly, raising a green smokescreen!

Tang Ye felt as if his body lightened and stopped running. He stood still, feeling no pain. Confused, he frowned and glanced at the right side of his body.

His body was smoking. His right hand was reduced to just a forearm, corroded by the green acid at the joint to reveal a large brown scab. It was continuously emitting smoke, from his right shoulder to his waist, a large portion of his flesh had mysteriously disappeared, leaving only large wounds from which blood was still gushing out!

At the instant when a large portion of his body’s flesh disappeared, Tang Ye felt half of his internal energy being drawn out, all of which was used to heal the gap in his body!

The smile vanished from Tang Ye’s face, replaced with rage. His injuries sent him into a fit of anger!

Roar!

The sound of a deafening roguish roar. Wen Yixian’s face paled again. Was Tang Ye not dead?

Is this a Level 2 zombie?

Does a Level 2 zombie have this kind of vitality?

Wen Yixian had begun to suspect that Tang Ye was a Level 3 zombie, but lacked evidence to back up her suspicion. Despite the first Level 3 zombie appearing in Japan and destroying a C class survivor base, inciting panic worldwide, Level 3 zombies remained extremely rare. Growling in rage, Tang Ye turned into a black shadow and charged forward. Wen Yixian squinted her eyes, predicting his path, and fired another acid grenade at his projected location!

But unexpectedly, just as the grenade was fired, Tang Ye made an abrupt turn, forcefully changing his direction, charging toward a group of newly evolved soldiers!

"Fire!"

"Kill!"

The soldiers roared, gunfire echoed continuously from their hands, bullets rained down and the new human soldiers threw down their guns, took out their special machetes, and hacked away in front of them!

Clang!

The sound of metal collision was heard as a new human soldier’s machete hit Tang Ye, creating a shallow gash on his rock-hard muscles!

But that was all they managed to do. The soldier was thrown aside by Tang Ye’s monstrous strength, other soldiers were swept away with him!

Seeing Tang Ye enter the crowd, the other soldiers were bewildered. Their guns came to a halt!

A new human soldier not far away yelled, raising his zombie-slaying machete and charging forward. But before he could take a few steps, a bone spike exploded through his head, making him a member amongst the ranks of the zombies!

"You all, go!"

Wen Yixian pointed at a group of newly evolved humans nearby. Just then, an unforeseen change occurred!

The corpses of the soldiers previously killed by Tang Ye’s tentacles started shaking, then staggered to their feet from the ground...
