After dealing with the dozen zombies at the entrance of the lab, Yan Zhaofeng leads his team to the next laboratory door. He lies still against the mechanical door, attempting to listen for any sounds inside, only to hear nothing.

He waves towards Gu Le who is standing behind him, indicating for him to come over.

"Gu Le, you take half of the fourth team and go to the launch pad. Connect all communication devices of the patrol teams who are enforcing the curfew outside, and order them to remain on high alert tonight. Anyone who appears abnormal must be killed immediately!"

"Yes!"

Gu Le loudly acknowledges and salutes before calling his people to prepare to leave. But Yan Zhaofeng’s voice rings out once more.

"Wait, now that there are zombies appearing in the base, the patrol teams must be made aware. We can’t let the virus infect more people!"

"Yes!"

The sight of zombies within the base only increases Yan Zhaofeng’s apprehension. He doesn’t want to return to the life he lived four months ago, where people were starving and even forced to resort to cannibalism. The thought of it sends chills down his spine!

Just by looking at them, you might not straight away recognise that they’re zombies, but their pale eyes give them away!

The soldiers fire relentlessly, bullets striking the zombies’ heads and bodies!

But as soon as the gunfire rings out, they are immediately attacked from the side by ten bone spikes flashing with a chilling light, striking towards the soldiers just like venomous snakes!

"There are evolved zombies!"

"Right wing! Focus fire, take out the evolved zombies first!"

Yan Zhaofeng looks stunned, he hadn’t expected to encounter evolved zombies. Judging by the bone spikes that suddenly shot out, they could only have been evolved by Level 2 zombies!

Upon hearing the orders, the soldiers immediately shift their gaze to the right, but see nothing. When they regain their senses, a red bulb splits open on the ceiling overhead, extending hundreds of tentacles that thrust at the soldiers’ heads!

Tang Ye takes advantage of his successful attack, immediately counterattacking. His tentacles retract back into a bulb form, and again split open in a fan shape, wildly stirring!

The soldiers’ bodies are cut in half by the massive force of the tentacles. The remaining soldiers react and quickly start firing towards the ceiling, but their bullets hit Tang Ye’s grown tentacles, causing him no substantial harm!

Laughing evilly, Tang Ye, with his tentacles deflecting bullets, releases his grip on the ceiling, letting his body drop heavily to the ground!

Many soldiers haven’t entered the experimental workshop yet, Tang Ye controls all of his bone spikes to extend through the door, instantly taking the lives of several soldiers!

Scanning the room, Tang Ye’s attention focuses on Yan Zhaofeng, extending his bone claw in his right hand to grab onto the handle of a machine, launching himself forward.

"Die, hahaha! Let me see your face, heh heh!"

Roar, growl, growl!

With a dark laugh, Tang Ye, inches away from Yan Zhaofeng, is suddenly hurled away by an oncoming force!

Tang Ye quickly gets back up, only to see a tall man holding a Gatling gun, showering Tang Ye with a relentless stream of bullets!

"Die, die! Kill!"

The muscular man laughs wildly. Tang Ye crosses his hands to protect his head, and tightly grips the rubber band around his wrist. Even though his body’s hardness has reached unthinkable levels, his clothes made of cloth couldn’t resist the high-speed Gatling gun bullets, tearing into shreds in less than half a second!

With his eerily skinned upper body completely bare, Yan Zhaofeng turns his head to get a clear look at the Level 2 zombie, but just as he catches sight of it, Tang Ye retreats a step back and then darts behind a machine.

The muscular man’s Gatling gun follows Tang Ye’s movement, shooting at the machines that were nothing but paper in front of the powerful Gatling gun, tearing everything in its path to pieces!

After Tang Ye hides behind the machine, everything suddenly goes quiet. The muscular man holding the Gatling gun also ceases fire, looking questioningly at the ruined machines.

Yan Zhaofeng stands up straight, dusting himself off, and also looks over. Just as everyone lets their guard down, a shadow from the right charges at them again!
