Multiple tentacles burst out from Tang Ye’s neck, wildly flailing about among the soldiers, cracking their necks one by one with his hands!

In less than half a minute, over ten soldiers were massacred by Tang Ye, with only one officer left, his face filled with terror as he stared at Tang Ye.

"You...you are a zombie, no!"

Without a word, Tang Ye quickly moved to his side, stretching out his hand and grabbing his head. Under his pleading gaze, his head exploded like a watermelon!

After dealing with the soldiers outside the door, Tang Ye kicked the clock tower door to pieces. His nostrils flaring, he caught a whiff of Nannan’s lingering milky fragrance in the air.

At this moment, Li Xiaoyan, from some unknown location, rode a motorbike towing along Chen Chaoyang. When they arrived behind Tang Ye, they both called out in unison, "Boss!"

Tang Ye nodded, scanning his surroundings. The interior of the clock tower was rather ordinary, with sofas and a reception desk. However, there were no people. He followed the scent of Nannan into an office.

Chen Chaoyang and Li Xiaoyan looked at the corpses outside, exchanging worried glances. The soldiers were killed by Tang Ye. What kind of person was he?

He wasn’t a person at all. He was a zombie!

With various large and small wounds all over their bodies, apart from those whose necks were brutally snapped by Tang Ye, the rest would likely turn into zombies and "revive" in no time!

However, they couldn’t deal with any of that right now. As long as they followed Tang Ye, these transformed soldiers wouldn’t attack them!

The office was spacious. Tang Ye’s gaze immediately landed on a huge mirror embedded into the wall between two rows of bookshelves.

Tang Ye walked up to the mirror. He looked at his reflection in the mirror, his face hidden behind a gruesome mask, and let out a string of "hehehe" laughs.

He raised his fist, the size of a bowl, and aimed a punch at the "Tang Ye" in the mirror!

Bang, clang!

The mirror was shattered in an instant by Tang Ye’s explosive force. Shards flew everywhere! Looking forward, he saw that behind the mirror was an empty space, with a concrete wall at the back. Without any hesitation, Tang Ye raised his fist again and smashed right through!

Bang!

With that punch, the concrete wall crumbled like paper, stirring up a cloud of dust!

With a hole punched through the concrete wall, Tang Ye strode forward. As soon as he stepped out, he found stairs leading downwards. But before he could observe further, he found two guns aimed at his head!

"Who are you?"

Annoyed, Tang Ye was about to strike back when suddenly two gunshots rang out from behind. Chen Chaoyang and Li Xiaoyan had each picked up a gun to shoot the soldiers aiming at Tang Ye’s head.

Ignoring the two falling bodies beside him, Tang Ye continued his descent. But after a few steps, a loud, piercing alarm sounded, agitating him.

Along with the chaotic sound of footsteps from the bottom of the stairs, rows of soldiers stood at the end, their guns raised, shooting away without uttering a single word!

Bang, bang, bang...!

Tang Ye held his hand, adorned with a pink fluffy hairband, behind him whilst raising his other hand to shield his forehead, preventing a direct and fatal strike.

The barrage of bullets hit his body. Tang Ye let out a low growl, diving straight forward, jumping over several steps towards the soldiers at the end!

"Don’t conserve the bullets! Fucking shoot!"

Tang Ye’s eyes turned cold, fixing his gaze on the soldier who just spoke. The hundreds of zombie tentacles that had evolved from his body all stretched out, like a piece of blood-red cloth lunging at the soldiers!

Like a bolt of lightning, his attack came before his body had even reached them. Completely taken aback, the group of soldiers tried to dodge, but their speed simply couldn’t compare. Within an instant, the majority of the soldiers had been pierced through by the tentacles!

Having killed off the majority of the soldiers, Tang Ye retracted his tentacles, weaving them into a blood-red "pillar", then spread them out in a circular motion, slaughtering all the remaining soldiers at his side!

While the siren kept blaring, all the soldiers guarding the laboratory were annihilated. Only a bunch of panicked researchers in white lab coats remained, scrambling to get away. At this moment, Tang Ye seemed like a boss character in a sci-fi movie, wreaking havoc everywhere!

Outside the clock tower, numerous military vehicles sped up, each of them making a smooth stop before unloading soldiers, guns at the ready.

Among them was Yan Zhaofeng, dressed in a suit. His face was gloomy, never had he expected that Tang Ye would break through so quickly. He thought he would hold out at least until tomorrow. Why did they have to rush it?

"All forces move in! Kill Tang Ye!"

At the command of Yan Zhaofeng, soldiers, along with the new humans picked up their weapons and rushed into the clock tower. They ignored the corpses that Tang Ye killed earlier, occasionally stepping on them as they moved forward.

Just then, a soldier stepped on a dead comrade’s body. As he was about to lift his foot, the corpse suddenly "came back to life"!

With its pale hand reaching out to grab his ankle. The soldier was taken aback, but soon after, he was overwhelmed by excruciating pain!

"Ah!"

He looked down only to see his world started spinning as he was knocked to the ground by the zombie. The zombie then lunged at his neck, breaking skin and flesh, blood spurting out like a stream!

"What’s going on?"

"There are zombies! There are zombies in the base!"

"How did they turn into zombies?"

As the dead soldiers revived, Yan Zhaofeng was terrified. It had been a long time since he last saw a zombie in Yindan Base!

These zombies dragged his memory back to four months ago. The fear of zombies had become a conditioned reflex for him. His first instinct was to run for his life. But then he realized that he himself was a new human and couldn’t be infected. What was there to be afraid of?

Quickly regaining his composure, he straightened his tie and scanned the surroundings, relieved to see no one had noticed his panic.

He was the ruler of Yindan Base, it would be a disgrace if seen panicking!

Soldiers’ corpses started to revive, seven or eight of them springing back to life, clawing at the soldiers. The soldiers were fairly close and were taken by surprise when bitten by the zombies!

Those soldiers bitten screamed as they knew the characteristics of zombies by heart. They weren’t new humans; a bite from a zombie meant infection!

Looking at their wounds, the soldiers anxiously killed the zombies in front of them, then turned to their comrades with despair, only to be met with fatal shots!

Before they even confronted Tang Ye, several soldiers had already been killed or injured. This made Yan Zhaofeng furious!

What an ill-fated beginning!
