I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World -
Chapter 1539 - 1534: Kill You All!
Chapter 1539: Chapter 1534: Kill You All!
Tang Ye looked up at the sky; there were no clear, blue skies or white clouds, only layers of murky, grey clouds that seemed so high yet so low.
"Come on!" He thrust his knife deeply into the ground and waited for what was about to happen. Soon, he saw a silhouette of a shadow painted on the wall of the surrounding buildings. As the first shadow appeared, the second, third, fourth...continuously manifested on the walls at a rapid pace. It didn’t take long for the walls’ colors to be utterly covered, leaving only the ghastly pale color of the shadow paintings!
The number of these shadow paintings was simply too vast to count. Almost in an instant, the entire city turned into a greyish white! When the walls could no longer contain these myriad shadow paintings, they began to emerge on the ground and even on the murky clouds overhead, creating a scene that made one’s scalp tingle!
Before the clouds above were dyed white by these shadows, arms started appearing on the shadow-covered walls. These arms were not the rotting limbs of zombies; they were normal, flesh-colored arms, slender ones, sturdy ones, fair ones, rough ones - all sorts and kinds. In an instant, they filled all the buildings, much like the green vines covering the buildings of an abandoned city after the apocalypse, the arms resembling countless branches!
Not long after the arms extended from the walls, countless hands began emerging from the shadow paintings on the ground. Those close to Tang Ye directly grabbed his pant legs, pulling with all their might!
Heh~
Shortly after, a low growl emerged from Tang Ye’s mouth. Following this roar, his hair began to grow explosively as if someone had smeared a handful of quick-acting hair growth serum on his head, growing longer and longer and turning from black to a pale white. His facial features contorted ferociously, the color quickly drained from his face, his skin turned greyish-white, and strands of black veins bulged, snaking across his facial skin. With the opening and closing of his eyes, they went from clear black-and-white to a deep black and blood red!
Clutching the blood-colored long knife in his hand, a storm rose out of nowhere! The force carried by the knife blade compressed the air in front of it to either side, and one could even see the turbulent waves in the air caused by the disturbance!
Whoosh!
With a swing of the knife! The blade left a trail of blood-cold shadows as it passed, like a ribbon, or like a slender stick sweeping across a field of rapeseed, and in an instant, the dense throng of arms emerging from the ground cleanly snapped off. The flesh of the arms neatly severed, revealing not normal red flesh but a dark grey mass, and as the skin split open, the storm followed, sweeping a large amount of the dark ash into the air!
Bang!
Tang Ye took a step forward, shattering the ground beneath his foot, and the invisible wind blew his white hair into the sky. He swung his arm, turning the blade of the knife back in his hand, flexed his arm, and swung once more!
The sharp knife edge split the air again, leaving a straight mist in its trail, which streaked across the space and flew horizontally forward the next second!
After two continuous swings, the severed arms on the ground, along with the thick ash, scattered everywhere. However, the people emerging from the shadow paintings didn’t stop their actions. After one arm after another drilled out, they began pushing their heads through, and for a time, there were bald heads everywhere on the ground. They were hairless, and after their facial features appeared, they let out furious roars at Tang Ye, their voices not hoarse like zombies, but more heart-wrenching, as if they were engaged in a task that needed patience but had not succeeded, leading to a final bout of explosive frustration.
More and more people emerged from the shadowy graffiti, naked, with men and women, young and old alike. Before one person could even stand up after crawling out, they were immediately toppled by the next person emerging. A multitude of arms stretched out from the thick clouds above, with people occasionally falling down, hitting the ground in pieces, yet those above seemed to feel no fear as they frantically scrambled out of the shadows that bound them. In an instant, the area around Tang Ye was engulfed by a dense black fog, with the air filled with the black dust that drifted away from their shattered bodies.
The shadowy graffiti seemed like a series of springs, and the people emerging from them flowed endlessly like water gushing forth. In just a short while, their numbers had reached a horrifying level!
The streets were filled with their figures, with flesh everywhere, a sight more terrifying than the advance of a horde of zombies in an apocalypse!
The people who crawled out roared at Tang Ye, their resentful emotions enveloping the entire city.
These people emerging from the graffiti were too many to count, endless like infinity itself. No one knew how many such individuals could be hidden within a single piece of graffiti. In just a few minutes, piles of people five or six meters high formed because they couldn’t walk normally, and like a breached flood, they cascaded toward Tang Ye!
They roared at Tang Ye as if he were their sworn enemy, their normal human faces instilling more fear than a zombie horde of similar size, as no one knew what they would do when they got close!
"I will kill you all!"
Tang Ye roared back at this human mountain and took a big step forward. Arms that had just reached out from the ground exploded into black ash under his tread. A blood-colored blade in his hand tainted with a wisp of black fog, accompanied by the blade’s edge, tore through the space as the sound fell, with a piercing whoosh!
As the sound fell and with that blood-colored blade wrapped in thick black fog swung out, a gap was cleaved through the crowd in front, and a large amount of black ash burst forth!
Bang!
Another step forward! Tang Ye turned his arm and slashed with the blade again. Given the sheer number of people, each swing of his blade chopped down at least a dozen, which caused him to be shrouded by a thick black haze!
Swish! Swish! Swish!
In this manner, Tang Ye’s blade followed one slash after another, the blood-colored blade drawing broad, chilling arcs as it fell, causing successive bursts of black ash where it passed.
In a matter of seconds, the surging human tide formed in front of him was scattered by his slashes, but behind him, new waves of people quickly formed and surged toward Tang Ye with the same ferocity!
