The outer door to the facility closed, followed by the smaller door inside shutting tightly.

Even in the darkness, she could perceive all the food, and where the small door closed, there was not the slightest crack visible; it had merged with the surrounding walls.

Shortly after, a woman’s voice rang out again, accompanied by a strange tube descending from above her head, the end fitted with a white filter.

"Put it in your mouth. I can’t see you right now, and if you don’t follow instructions, you might drown."

"What?" Gong Xiao was startled, and then saw a large amount of glowing green liquid pouring down from above her head. She quickly grabbed the tube and put the filter in her mouth, but then she thought she might not need such a thing since she could avoid breathing altogether.

The glowing green liquid soon submerged half of Gong Xiao’s body, and she smelled a strange scent, somewhat similar to crushed glass that humans would smell.

Quickly, the glowing green liquid totally submerged Gong Xiao, filling the narrow space completely in no time!

The staff outside were busily swiping their fingers across the control panel, and soon after, a sheet of paper emerged from the printer. The staffer reached for it while hitting the last button with an unknown function.

Inside, Gong Xiao suddenly felt the engulfing glowing green liquid begin to recede. Within moments, she had come into contact with air again. From entering the chamber to the complete drainage of the liquid, it had taken scarcely less than two minutes.

"What is happening here?" Gong Xiao looked curiously at the remaining green droplets on her skin and licked one; it was neither salty nor tasteless – there was certainly a flavor, but indistinct.

With the liquid gone, Gong Xiao felt her skin had become smoother.

The small door she had entered through opened, and understanding the cue, Gong Xiao walked out, dressed herself, and exited the outer door of the facility.

"I don’t know... Ah? It seems to be from the beginning of the apocalypse."

"I see..." The woman’s confusion deepened. She pondered for a moment and could not determine what might have caused these abnormalities in Gong Xiao.

She did not explain the contents of the paper to Gong Xiao, merely telling her, "Wait here for a moment."

"No."

"It’s anti-life matter. Each triangle contains a small black dot, like a nucleus in a cell, but they are not cells."

The woman pointed out three places and said solemnly to Gong Xiao, "During this period, you can only go to these three places. Here is the canteen, here is your accommodation, a single room with everything you might need, and the other place is for your entertainment, where you can enjoy everything - except for sexual services."
