Chapter 1332 - 1327: You’re Finished

Chapter 1332: Chapter 1327: You’re Finished

"Can we... can we go now?" Seeing that Abeng already knew what he wanted to know, Old Shen hastily yet cautiously asked.

Abeng glanced at them and sneered, "I promised to spare your lives, but I never said I would let you go."

"Ah?" The two men’s faces instantly turned the color of bitter gourd; they didn’t want to stay here with this eerie child, not even for another minute.

"How about this? Once I find Long Yingjia, I’ll let you go. By the way, where are you living now? Follow me tomorrow to the Mining Hospital to look for record sheets."

"This... Okay then." Old Shen was extremely reluctant in his heart, but he dared not show it and could only respond that way.

"Also, to prevent you from running away, I need to put a lock on you?"

"Lock? What kind of lock?" The two men suddenly became alert, but in the next second, they were each hoisted up by one of Abeng’s hands, unable to move a muscle.

Abeng stretched out a hand, palm up, and the flesh at his wrist began to wriggle, an extremely bizarre sight. The two men’s eyes widened in an instant; this was not an ability any human possessed!

In that split second, two words flashed through their minds simultaneously, zombie!

High-level zombies!

Zombies that can disguise as humans, and do it so naturally?

Only Level 8 zombies can accomplish that!

At that thought, the two men’s legs began to tremble. They had provoked a Level 8 zombie, and had they known that Cloud Gorge Base had Level 8 zombies disguised as humans, living lives like any other person, they would not have come to Wanhe Third District for pleasure, perhaps they wouldn’t have dared to enter Cloud Gorge Base at all—the thought alone was hair-raising!

"Don’t be surprised; this Cloud Gorge Base has more than just me!" Abeng seemed to know what they were thinking and chuckled, "Heh heh." At this point, the flesh in his palm finally congealed, and two dark red irregular meatballs appeared in front of the men. Before they could react, Abeng tossed the revolting lumps into their throats.

The men tried to spit them out, but as soon as the meatballs entered their mouths, they felt tendrils growing around them and wriggling—as if alive?

The more they felt terror in their hearts and wanted to say something, the more the meatballs seemed to burrow down their windpipes, blocking their throats, rendering them speechless!

Finally, the foreign sensation in their throats disappeared, and they had no idea where inside their bodies the meatballs had gone.

Then they heard Abeng say:

"Very well, now you are my slaves. Don’t be discouraged, ha, this is far better than becoming one of my kind. Oh, and a reminder—if you think of escaping, no matter where you go, the meatball I placed in your mouth will explode, turning the two of you into zombies!"

The two men shivered and exchanged a glance, their expressions even more miserable.

What could they say now? They dared not say anything.

They could only nod, acknowledging the ordeal they were now facing, and there was nothing unluckier than this. Being alive was better than dead, after all. Who sent them to provoke a Level 8 zombie disguised as a human?

"Alright, that’s it. Once you find Long Yingjia, I’ll let you go. And don’t look at me with that face; although I am a zombie, I’m a very reasonable one. Don’t worry too much about things. We already have a lead, and I believe it won’t take too long to find the person I’m looking for."

"Yes... yes."

"Exactly, exactly, what you said is correct!" Where could the two men dare to contradict? They could only agree with what Abeng said.

"What are your names?"

"My name is Zheng Minghui."

"I am... My name is Shen Mingke."

"Take me to where you live."

"Yes, yes."

Zheng Minghui and the other hurriedly nodded, leading Abeng out of the restaurant and towards the outside of Wanhe Third District.

Their residence was in Summer E37 District, not too far from Wanhe Third District, roughly four or five kilometers away. But with their speed, this distance did not waste much of Abeng’s time. At a steady pace, it took him about three minutes to arrive at their abode.

After all, they were Level 6 New Humans and, although they were nothing compared to someone of his level, for the middle and lower-class residents, Level 6 New Humans were genuinely strong. Therefore, the place they lived in was not shabby at all; it was a two-story detached villa. According to the two, they even bought several foreign slaves, including Black people, White people, and Latin people.

As soon as Abeng entered the villa, he sat down on the sofa as if it were his own home, while Zheng Minghui and Shen Mingke, who ought to be the hosts, seemed as if they were impoverished relatives seeking refuge, giving off a very restrained feeling.

A White slave, quick to perceive, didn’t wait for instruction from the two men and immediately brought over a cup of a strange blue drink for Abeng. It was Abeng’s first time seeing such a thing; after taking a sip and not discerning the taste, he lost interest in following up.

Perhaps because he had found a lead in searching for Long Yingjia, Abeng and his entourage took the rare opportunity to relax a bit. He even changed at the two men’s residence into a neat outfit. The next morning, he woke the two men up early to head towards China B21 district.

However, as they passed through a certain shantytown area, Abeng’s steps involuntarily paused, feeling a bit of a chill in his heart.

"Big brother? What’s wrong?" Shen Mingke, not understanding, scratched his head and looked in the direction Abeng was staring. Over there, a brawny man with unusually strange facial features was leading dozens of people striding across the road. Abeng’s gaze met his, and the brawny man acknowledged with a nod; the two knew each other, but neither said a word.

However, in front of the sturdy man from the grasslands, there was a gaunt man with a slightly pale face, kneeling on the ground as if begging for something. As soon as the rugged man approached him, he bellowed, "Where is the Yajin you promised? What, you can’t pay it back today?"

"Brother Jin, give me a little more time, please. The deadline was really short; I couldn’t gather it all. Give me three more days! In three days, I will definitely pay back the Yajin I owe you!"

"I don’t care about that, I said if it’s not paid today, I’ll break one of your legs! Go!"

The burly man showed no mercy and with a wave of his hand, his followers rushed up, the iron clubs in their hands brutally bending the thin man’s legs outward. Behind him, a door cracked open slightly, revealing a pair of anxious eyes watching the scene unfold.

Yet, when those eyes caught sight of Abeng, they instantly changed.

The concern vanished, replaced with a suddenly threatening look aimed at Abeng—as if without speaking, they were saying, "Kid, you’re done for!"
