I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World -
Chapter 1257 - 1252: Color 2
Chapter 1257: Chapter 1252: Color 2
At the very end, Tang Ye didn’t know what he had done, but it was as if he knew he had done something, a recent act, etched in an image, yet his memory seemed to have vanished. He didn’t know what exactly he had done, or perhaps what he had been thinking just before?
A shockwave hit, and he watched everything before his eyes disintegrate in an instant, the molecular structures dismantled by an ineffable force, then vanish without a trace before his eyes.
The world in front of him turned completely white, as if only this color remained in the world, nothing else!
So white that it obscured everything! No other color could compare!
He felt as if his feet had taken root, deeply embedded into the earth, so that even this immense impact hitting him couldn’t shake him.
"What... what’s happened to me?"
Tang Ye’s gaze was vacant, with only his hands in view, dangling midair. He wanted to move, but his body wouldn’t respond at all, fixed in this position like a nail!
He pondered his current situation, what had he just done, and why was there always a feeling of discomfort in his heart, as if a persistent shadow pressed on his spirit, like heartache, yet he didn’t know what it was that made him feel so oppressed?
"Where is this place..."
He observed, but due to the strange sensation in his body, Tang Ye couldn’t turn his head, only able to stare at the image fixed before him!
On the other side, everyone looked toward Changheng Power Supply, their eyes filled with horror.
"What happened?"
"That white light?"
At that moment, a bundle of white light was spreading, and within its periphery, colorful hues turned into fine strands wrapping around the area. After a while, someone realized something, their face filled with panic, "This is bad! We need to leave the United District quickly!"
"What’s going on? The Changheng Power Supply exploded! These scenes appeared after the explosion!"
"What!"
"No! I can’t stay here any longer, I’m leaving!"
"To hell with how many zombies are outside! I need to get out of here!"
"Let’s go! Let’s take our chances with those zombies!"
People could no longer care about anything else, madly heading outside, even though their way was blocked by hordes of corpses, they didn’t hesitate at all!
However, those in the Central United District were still relatively lucky, but for those still scraping by at Changheng Power Supply, their situation was terrible. Whether human or zombie, they were undergoing horrifying transformations.
In the throng of corpses, the bodies began to distort severely, making the onlooker feel as if they were in a bizarre world, and what was more terrifying was that besides the repulsive changes happening to the living, some of the new humans began to transform into ordinary people!
"Don’t! My body! I don’t want to become a normal person!"
"I don’t have the strength anymore, I... I feel the same!"
"I don’t want to turn into this ghastly figure, who will save me?"
Screams were everywhere, with new humans or ordinary people hiding in corners or destroyed buildings no longer able to control the zombies outside. They ran out, madly howling, and roared towards the sky, despite the continuous tremors from the ground.
Invisible substances had penetrated their bodies, directly shattering their genomic sequences, causing horrific transformations on them, whether alive or undead. Their expressions became terrifying!
Some had already turned into monsters; intense bodily changes brought about unbearable pain that completely deprived them of their sanity! Some people’s hands had turned into independently sentient entities, flesh torn apart to form a large mouth that devoured their own body. On others, vines grew, their flesh turning into fertile soil in an instant, giving rise to oddly shaped plants. Some turned to stone as various irregular organs sprouted from their skin.
However, these were all short-lived, and soon, people saw a white hemispherical dome spreading outward, an irresistible force completely erasing everyone’s body.
Amid all this, Tang Ye, who was right in the center, felt nothing as his feet had "rooted" him to the ground, immobilizing him.
In the expanse of white before his eyes, his expression blank, perhaps from staring too long at the white, he thought he could see some pink.
"I... I..."
He wanted to say something, but nothing came out.
It seemed like someone was hallucinating beside him. Upon listening carefully, there was nothing, but when he refocused, the chaotic and troubled voices reappeared. Many people were talking; the feeling was familiar yet strange, and Tang Ye vaguely remembered encountering this situation before, unable to distinguish what was real and what was not.
He no longer deliberately listened to these false murmurs, instead, centering his heart back to a state of normality.
What was his current state, was he in danger? Tang Ye no longer cared, as he couldn’t feel any pain, perhaps because he was a zombie; he was already dead but felt nothing.
As time passed second by second, Tang Ye saw many clouds and some mushrooms, colorful and floating before his eyes, even seeing a person with two heads playing a piano rotating in front of him, magical but elusive.
Tang Ye was very aware that all this was false, giving him a feeling akin to the surreal fading in and out of a dream.
But what exactly was his state?
He wanted to know what he had done just a second before entering this state. His intuition told him it was important—but where? Insignificant, yet not to be ignored.
The things floating past his eyes increased, even some things that shouldn’t exist in this world began to materialize, waveringly drifting by. For example, you do something, starting an hour before, the process depicted by a very mundane object, lots of it, just this feeling.
Tang Ye recognized this thing but didn’t know how to express what the "item" representing this thing really was, knowing yet not recognizing!
Someone was dreaming, waking up to a sense of loss. Someone was sweeping the floor, sweeping trash into a dustpan, but the next moment forgot where they had placed their broom. The whispers in his ears slowly became clear, the events floating before his eyes gradually losing their original colors, white turning to red, green becoming multicolored.
Many, many colors, writhing like lively pieces of jelly?
