I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World
Chapter 121 - 118: Sudden Attack_1

Chapter 121: Chapter 118: Sudden Attack_1

Hundreds of tentacles shot out at once, piercing through the bodies of the zombies in front of Tang Ye in a fan-like pattern. The sharp "Y"-shaped tips of the tentacles penetrated one zombie after another. The squelching sound of them entering flesh was non-stop, with dense tentacles forming a crimson expanse making everything in front of Tang Ye red!

A moment later, hundreds of shrunken and dried zombie bodies were strewn across the street, other than the ones burned earlier by the armed helicopter.

Tang Ye grinned with satisfaction. The tentacles he evolved were very useful. With a thought, all tentacles tangled together to form a giant rope and began to retract back into his body. Once entirely withdrawn, the bloody gash on his back from his neck to his shoulder closed up instantly.

It was strange. Every single one of the 120 tentacles was about 70-80 meters long. The total length was at least three or four times his own body length, but he could retract all of them into his body!

This was illogical, and Tang Ye couldn’t understand the principle behind it. But if talking about logic, the very existence of the zombies was the most illogical!

Once again, a tentacle extended from behind his neck, swaying in front of Tang Ye. These evolved tentacles could be controlled flexibly just like his own hands. He commenced walking down the street and into a men’s clothing store, pulling the largest coat off the rack and putting it over his body.

After the apocalypse, his transformation into a zombie had caused him to ruin three coats already. But it was unavoidable; every battle would damage his clothes to some extent. Considering his two-meter height, only a coat would fit, or it would require custom tailoring.

After dressing, Tang Ye went back underground in the building, extending four tentacles to climb the building towards the roof.

By this point, Ah Fu had already swallowed all of the Evolution Crystal that Tang Ye gave him, but there seemed to be no abnormalities; evidently, it didn’t evolve into a Level 3 zombie like Tang Ye, and was still at Level 2.

After Tang Ye climbed to the top of the building, he led Ah Fu and Chen Chaoyang into the helicopter.

"Let’s go."

"Let’s get moving, why are you standing there stupidly?"

Hearing Tang Ye’s words, Chen Chaoyang instantly slapped the back of Li Xiaoyan’s head who was nervously sitting in the co-pilot’s seat. He behaved just like a bully from before the Apocalypse who loved to pick on easy targets.

The helicopter’s massive blades began to rotate slowly, lifting into the sky, and heading towards Liang City.

Because of Ah Fu’s enormous size, it couldn’t really sit in the helicopter and had to lie down on the deck. Nannan, who had just woken up, sat on its bald head and was playing around, occasionally reaching out her tiny hands to touch Chen Chaoyang’s face.

A hint of irritation flashed in Chen Chaoyang’s eyes; he wished he could pick up this annoying little rascal and throw her out. However, given Tang Ye’s presence, he was apprehensive and could only allow Nannan to trample all over him.

Tang Ye stared blankly at the clear blue sky outside the window, gently stroking the pink fluffy hairband on his other wrist as if it was his beloved.

Ning Yu’er’s face would always unconsciously surface in his mind. Every time he thought of her, a raspy voice filled with hatred and madness would emerge from the depths of his soul.

He didn’t know if it was an illusion, whether that voice was his own, or why it keeps appearing and echoing these thoughts.

I must save her, stop this tragedy...

The voice was cold, as if it was coming from the deepest abyss, filled with blood and murderous intent, like a demon’s whisper.

Tang Ye didn’t understand what the voice was saying, but he understood its meaning, or it was just a figment of his imagination.

It must be due to the influence of that dream... the sensation of losing something.

Before the Apocalypse, he heard scientists saying that parallel universes exist and that there should be another version of himself in every parallel universe. Perhaps this was a message from another version of himself sent through some means.

However, Tang Ye had no idea what it was, and he was skeptical about the theory of parallel universes, meaning it was probably the dream that was affecting him.

Tang Ye didn’t ponder it further and started to compose himself. It doesn’t matter whether he had lost something; if it hadn’t happened to him, it doesn’t matter. Even if he had indeed lost something, it wasn’t a big deal; he could just find it again if necessary.

Also, regarding Yu’er’s wish, he should be able to help her fulfill it. However, it seemed that he had been eating human flesh and doing things a zombie would do. Inside Tang Ye’s heart, he wasn’t particularly affected by this fact; it seemed as if these things were natural. But this act was drawing him further and further away from Ning Yu’er’s wish.

As Tang Ye contemplated this, he felt confused and lost, which was evident in his gaze as he looked out the window.

"I’ll try to control myself in the future..."

Every time he was hurt, Tang Ye’s heart filled with rage, and his behavior started to go out of control. Just like a normal person whose emotions might lead them to do unexpected things when they were heightened.

Gathering himself again, Tang Ye stared at the sky outside and clenched his fists tightly, his heart filled with unyielding spirit.

Become stronger, get stronger! I shall carry your wish forward bravely!

Approaching Liang City, Tang Ye’s heart started to pump with excitement, like an elderly man about to see a childhood friend. The closer he got, the more restless his heart became.

Upon reaching Liang City, Li Xiaoyan originally wanted to fly the helicopter straight into Yindan Base, but considering two non-human entities onboard, he decided to land in an uninfested suburb. Two kilometers ahead was the coverage area of Yindan Base.

Hiss!

The sound of decompression rang out and the helicopter’s hatch automatically opened. Ah Fu’s body shot out like an arrow. Managing to fit in such a small space had indeed been tough for it.

Ah Fu helped Nannan balance herself, who was almost knocked over from its sudden movement. Tang Ye, with his hands behind his back, descended from the helicopter and awaited the others. A tentacle slowly extended from his back, swaying before his eyes, its purpose ambiguous.

Chen Chaoyang got out of the helicopter, followed closely by Li Xiaoyan. After knowing that Tang Ye and Ah Fu, the two zombies, would not hurt him, he finally relaxed. However, just as he touched the ground, Tang Ye’s scarlet tentacle shot out at him like an arrow!

The tentacle wrapped around his neck at an insanely fast speed. After evolving into a Level 3 zombie, Tang Ye’s attack speed had reached a level that ordinary people could barely observe!

"Ah, brother, what are you doing?"
