Chapter 1203: Chapter 1198 Ghostly as a Demon

"If killing you once doesn’t do the trick, let’s see how three times will deal with your prancing around here!"

The two Ning Tianlangs’ eyes were filled with ferocious killing intent. One of them got closer and closer. The corpse dragon hastily wriggled its body, and the blade emitted a startling chill. For a moment, it managed to dodge, the blade stabbing deeply into the back of its neck.

Roar!

The swarm of zombies around charged towards the two Ning Tianlangs, but the two men didn’t care. After the blade in the second Ning Tianlang’s hand failed to strike a vital point, the first Ning Tianlang kicked the corpse dragon on its side, sending it flying more than ten meters. Many zombies were directly sent flying by the huge body of the corpse dragon.

The two men crossed paths, continuously launching attacks at the corpse dragon. Quickly, five minutes passed like this. The corpse dragon no longer remembered how many times it had been thrown, and its body was still in a state of evolution, not yet fully transformed. In other words, the pain lingered on it. By now, it just wanted to sleep, to find a quiet place and sleep to its content. But the corpse dragon didn’t care; its intelligence was not low, and it understood what would await it if it lost consciousness here.

It raised its body again, but just as it made these movements, another tremendous force exploded on its head. The rotting flesh burst open, and even considered against a silver-armored zombie’s defensive capabilities, it was hard to fend off a strike from a Level 7 New Human.

This time, the corpse dragon was thrown more than ten meters, its massive body crashing into the ground, causing it to moan painfully.

However, the corpse dragon didn’t notice that, with each blow inflicted by the two Ning Tianlangs, the damage they caused seemed to lessen. Under the relentless attacks of the two Ning Tianlangs, the distance the corpse dragon was thrown became shorter and shorter, and at the same time, both men began to feel perplexed.

They didn’t know why, but they were finding it increasingly difficult to fight.

The two men exchanged glances, then after a moment, they nodded.

"Finish it off quick!"

"Right!"

And just as the corpse dragon raised its head, it was swiftly met with a knee strike from the second Ning Tianlang!

That blow was a perfect strike issued with the full force and total concentration of a Level 7 New Human!

Soldiers on the second defensive zombie wall cheered, relieved.

Uh... Roar~!

The corpse dragon flew into the air, shedding all the forces applied on it by the second Ning Tianlang. Meanwhile, its massive mouth opened, issuing a venomous roar towards the two Ning Tianlangs.

It was at this moment that the pus-filled blisters on the corpse dragon’s head, which had risen due to its evolutionary state, suddenly burst open. It seemed as if something was brewing inside them; when the blisters burst, rows of sharp, black objects grew out. Sheets of skin, rocky in texture, began to form, starting from its lower jaw, where strands of hair sprouted—except on closer inspection, these were not strands of hair but some kind of fibrous tendrils!

Massive scales that had previously fallen off its body began to regrow from within the flesh. In just a few seconds, the corpse dragon’s entire body was tightly sealed by these scales, which appeared even larger and thicker than before!

Roar~

The corpse dragon wandered through the air, feeling revitalized. It issued a long howl and, disregarding the two Ning Tianlangs, charged straight towards the inside of Cloud Gorge Base.

At that moment, it seemed to understand its current situation and no longer tangled with Ning Tianlang and his counterpart.

It aimed to buy time, yet the two Ning Tianlangs were unaware of this. They simply assumed the zombie dragon had sensed its dwindling vitality and sought to enter Cloud Gorge Base to devour a large number of life forms for replenishment.

"Block it!"

The first Ning Tianlang shouted, as he and the other one leaped in front of the zombie dragon, raising his fist and sending it thundering through the air filled with wind and sand!

Roar!

The zombie dragon shrieked and was sent flying, but quickly returned. The two Ning Tianlangs immediately scattered in different directions, one of them grabbing the zombie dragon’s tail, ready to exert force, only to have the dragon violently shake off his power and instead pull him in a dive downward.

Boom!

The first defense wall against zombies was smashed open with a large gap, the zombie dragon carrying one Ning Tianlang burst through it. The farmland area appeared, filled with visible zombies and their corpses, soldiers wielding laser weapons casting light as bright as daylight all around. The fields, once full of wheat, were now a ghastly sight with the soil overturned and the wheat stalks ravaged by zombies. Zombie bodies continued to surge in towards other agricultural areas, some exploding zombies detonated directly, their dark green fluid irreversibly polluting the fields, causing many wheat stalks to rapidly rot and turn black.

Reentering through the first zombie defense wall, the zombie dragon furiously swung its tail, tossing off the second Ning Tianlang. Soon, a force emanated from its lower jaw.

Growl!

With an instinctive growl, the zombie dragon’s head uncontrollably lifted high before the Ning Tianlang in front kicked it, pushing the beast back about eleven or twelve meters.

This time, the zombie dragon seemed less pained. Its eyes filled with boundless rage, it felt the burning sensation from evolution slowly diminishing, and the newly formed organs on its head began emitting a red ghostly glow, strikingly visible against the night sky.

This red light, like a liquid, gathered on the zombie dragon’s head and then flowed toward the nape of its neck and along its spine, where flesh gradually parted, revealing a spine covered in sharp bone spikes, and the red flow of light began climbing up its back. The whiskers that had grown from its lower jaw started emitting a purple-blue light.

It provocatively looked at the first Ning Tianlang, who hadn’t yet made a move, when the second Ning Tianlang rushed over, slashing at it!

Crack!

The freshly grown scales were instantly cleaved off the zombie dragon’s body but quickly grew back as the dragon’s power surged wildly. That strike only pushed its body back seven or eight meters.

Then, the two Ning Tianlangs together advanced, their knives spraying out radiant cold lights, the other’s every fist carrying the might to tear everything apart.

The zombie dragon continuously endured attacks, pushed by the two from the first zombie defense wall to the front of the second!

"Die!"

The light emanating from the zombie dragon made it appear ghostly and devilish, which also stirred anger in the two Ning Tianlangs. It was more apt to say that they had started to become desperate.

The two continuously struck, their attacks turning into blurs, and as time passed, their offensive grew increasingly strenuous.
