I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World -
Chapter 1030 - 1027: Zombie God Church 2
Chapter 1030: Chapter 1027: Zombie God Church 2
Can you imagine? Within the survivor bases, statues of the Zombie King were erected, and every morning, tens of thousands of people would kneel before the statues of the Zombie King, treating him as their deity and praying for his blessing upon his followers.
This pathological behavior persisted even though there were those who wanted to stop it; they were met with even more frenzied riots when they approached the armed forces.
On other continents, several terrifying high-level zombies emerged, like the radiated breed of zombies in North America that could deal fatal damage to any living being. Even other zombies, when nearing these radiated breed zombies, would melt into a puddle of blood from the radiation they emitted, and any zombies that fortunately didn’t die would become one of the radiated zombies.
The source of the radiated zombie infection was a Level 7 zombie. According to the folktales of the people in North America, this Level 7 zombie’s intelligence had surpassed that of humans and it could even disguise itself as a human to infiltrate human sanctuaries.
It also had its own name, which seemed to be Ryle. No one knew if this was true, but just the thought of such zombies being able to disguise themselves as humans was enough to make one’s skin crawl!
Over time, a rumor spread across North America: whenever a survivor base encountered a young man named Ryle, that base would be doomed.
Although high-level zombies had intelligence comparable to humans, they did not communicate with people as one might expect. Whenever a radiated breed zombie infection source appeared, it only brought carnage and death.
There were already many videos circulating about the appearance of radiated breed zombie infection sources. With each appearance, tens of thousands of blood-red zombie tides followed!
Under the assault of these zombies, no survivor base was spared, and the inevitable end was always a fall. Moreover, evolved resistance fighters could not last long on the front lines because the radioactive materials scattered in the air would slowly destroy everything inside them.
Since the appearance of the radiated breed zombie infection source, more than a hundred survivor bases had become playgrounds for the zombies.
It wasn’t just Ryle—high-level zombies on other continents were equally ferocious. It was estimated that now, every day, two or three survivor bases were overrun by the zombie tide.
And most of these zombie tides were led by the presence of Level 7 zombies.
A zombie that evolved to Level 7 already had intelligence not much different from a normal person. At this stage, such zombies had an understanding of food and knew how to use tactics to find survivor bases and then summon a zombie tide to attack.
As the apocalypse progressed, the frequency of zombie tides increased.
The number of radiated breed zombies like the ones in North America was generally very low, due to the unique conditions required for their birth. However, Level 7 zombies from other regions could easily spark zombie tides counting in the millions.
In the mad pursuit for sustenance by these high-level zombies, one survivor base after another was destroyed. Now, many areas had become desolate, and the South American Continent had been silent, without sending any survivor information to the outside world for half a year.
Many speculated that South America had become a deserted area, only inhabited by countless zombies.
Compared to the brutal acts of other high-level zombies on different continents, the Zombie King of China seemed rather gentle to the people. Since his appearance, he had only been seen three times, and in the South China Region, there had been virtually no incidents of the Zombie King leading a zombie tide to assault survivor bases.
The inaction of the Zombie King increasingly gave people the impression of his divinity, and they were proud that, although the white-haired zombie hadn’t committed many brutal acts, it was still the one known as the Zombie King.
The video that suddenly appeared on the internet, implying that the Zombie King might possess the strength of a Level 8 zombie, only reinforced people’s belief in his title.
Furthermore, with the precedent of the South China Peace Party successfully establishing peace with the zombies—although people here had failed—they believed it wasn’t because the Peace Party was particularly friendly towards zombies, but because of the Zombie King!
During the Qinshan Annihilation Incident, when the Zombie King slaughtered the troops of the seven committees of the United District, not a single Peace Party member was hurt. This led people to irresistibly suspect that Li Henian had some sort of relationship with the Zombie King or had reached some agreement.
After all, there were rumors that someone had seen the overlord of South China talking with the Zombie King in the United District. No one knew what they were discussing, or even if this was true, but many were willing to believe it.
Compared to the self-deluded statements within the Peace Party, the idea that the Peace Party had some deal with the Zombie King seemed more credible, and the reason zombies didn’t attack Peace Party members was directly because of the Zombie King.
In this post-apocalyptic world, survivors weren’t foolish; they could figure out what it meant if they weren’t attacked by zombies—it signified immense, immeasurable benefits!
So, if they could live a life akin to the old world’s, people wouldn’t mind abandoning their dignity to worship a devil!
Cloud Gorge Base, Shanhe Z29, the 22nd Army’s research square.
A flying vehicle approached from a distance, its thrusters tilting and the flames from its four directions diminishing.
Hisss~
A thick white smoke spilled out from all around the flying vehicle. The cabin door clicked open, and a slender leg stretched out; a black combat suit with blue trim perfectly outlined her shape. Besides her, several other powerhouses descended one after another.
"Mayor, we’ve arrived."
The surrounding powerhouses said respectfully to the woman, who was none other than Su Sigui, who had left the South China region to develop at Cloud Gorge Base.
"What did those old guys say?"
"Mayor, those old immortals have gone crazy, they want to capture the Zombie King?"
"Heh~"
Hearing this, Su Sigui chuckled coldly, shook her head, and didn’t take it seriously.
"Just treat their words as a comedy sketch, don’t take it to heart."
"Yes, Mayor, we understand that. But that person behind them, we must be cautious of him, otherwise, tomorrow..."
"You don’t need to worry about that. I almost already know who’s behind the two major forces. I didn’t expect him to have hidden so well but, what I fear most is that this person might also be a clone."
"Then, Mayor, who do you think it might be?"
Su Sigui didn’t answer, instead, she looked towards other places — Cloud Gorge Base was still as familiar to her eyes, yet some parts had become slightly unfamiliar.
"By the way, have you found Gao Shunan?" After a while, Su Sigui suddenly asked.
Quickly, a subordinate came over and shook their head, saying, "Mayor, we’ve searched the entire Cloud Gorge Base and haven’t found anyone named Gao Shunan."
