I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World
Chapter 1019 - 1016: A Fearless Sniper

Chapter 1019: Chapter 1016: A Fearless Sniper

Unless there was a stronger instigator behind the scenes, only the existence of someone more powerful than Ah Fu could grant Jiuge’s residents a great sense of security, enabling them to brazenly undertake the extermination of the Peace Party.

It was certain that Lin Jie, the Level 6 New Human mentioned by Ah Fu, was that stronger individual.

Having roughly figured out the situation, Tang Ye’s eyes flashed with a frightening murderous intent!

"Search! Find him!"

This was not about revenge or giving an explanation to the fallen Peace Party soldiers, but because that guy named Lin Jie was a Level 7 New Human, one of the few beings who could rival him. Such an existence, if not an ally, could only be eliminated by any means necessary if they were an enemy!

Considering the number of Peace Party soldiers who died, it was clear that this Level 7 New Human named Lin Jie harbored a deep hatred for the Peace Party. How could such a person be allowed to live?

If it were only a Level 5 or Level 6, Tang Ye could ignore it, as their strength was no different from ants to him or to the current Ah Fu, easily shattered with a flick of a finger; their hatred was inconsequential, merely resulting in one more corpse.

But a Level 7 New Human was different, a real threat that could cause losses to the Peace Party. If he wasn’t taken out, the Peace Party might not live in peace in the future.

With Tang Ye’s affirmation, Ah Fu became even more unrestrained. He had been afraid that his rampant destruction of human cities would displease Tang Ye, but now, those worries could vanish completely.

The next moment, Ah Fu’s silver skin began to redden and soon his skin started to flow. The sweltering heat filled the city once again as he spat out columns of red-hot magma, carrying out a carpet cleaning of Cepuguo City!

Meanwhile, Tang Ye began sensing the places with the richest blood qi, but after a few seconds, he grew puzzled as there was no blood qi in Cepuguo City intense enough to match that of a Level 7 New Human.

"You go there to search, that guy must have taken a blocker. I’ll check over there."

"Yes!"

Ah Fu nodded, quickening his pace, while Tang Ye also flew towards the other direction. Gliding winglessly, his figure was like a deity descending from the heavens. Along the way, he saw many Peace Party members who had survived running into view, faces streaked with tears and smiles, falling to their knees in a torrent before him.

They were spared by Ah Fu’s attack, which gave them a tremendous sense of security, and they no longer feared the Zombie King that had appeared in Lin City and shocked the world.

To them, the Zombie King was also an ally on their side, striving for the peace between humans and zombies.

In a corner unnoticed by Tang Ye and Ah Fu, Lin Jie silently looked at the three warnings displayed on the screen of the anti-life substance detector in his hands.

After a while, he raised his head and looked towards Ah Fu, who was furiously wreaking havoc in the opposite direction. In his mind, he replayed a video. It was shot inside the Qinshan Base, showing a thirty-meter-long silver zombie being struck by a blue beam of light. The flesh and blood on its body quickly eroded away. Just as it seemed on the verge of collapse, the Zombie King suddenly appeared; chaos ensued, and the video recording ended there, likely due to the destruction caused by the Zombie King’s arrival taking the life of the recorder.

Lin Jie thought carefully, observing Ah Fu with a growing depth in his gaze, especially the bone spurs on his back, which reminded him strikingly of the Level 6 zombie he had seen in the video.

"It’s that zombie, but how could it be here?" Lin Jie was puzzled, but he didn’t have time to think more about it. He felt it was time to leave. With the Zombie King’s appearance and the anti-life substance detector unable to determine the zombie’s level, he naturally assumed it was a Level 7 or higher zombie.

A Level 8 zombie!

A single "eight", even Lin Jie felt a tingling on his scalp, wondering what kind of trouble he had gotten himself into to draw such a big boss over.

It wasn’t just Lin Jie and Telos who thought this way, Yaztec included, everyone had the same idea, for what could it mean for someone to have a Level 7 zombie as an underling except that the boss was extremely powerful?

Even though high-level zombies held absolute dominion over low-level zombies, dominion among zombies of the same level, or intelligent Level 7 zombies who could no longer be described as ’low’, was no longer unilateral.

It’s like a boss and an underling, when the boss has power, the subordinate willingly obeys. But once the subordinate’s position surpasses that of the boss, would the former subordinate still listen to the previous boss?

In the horde of zombies, there exists a natural yet extremely rigid hierarchy, where low-level zombies, to high-level zombies, are not even considered slaves but rather like puppet strings, their actions completely at the command of the higher level.

And the distant zombie giant, being a Level 7 zombie, still obediently took orders from the Zombie King, what could be the reason?

There’s only one possibility, that the level of the Zombie King is higher than that of the Level 7 zombie!

And only this possibility explained it.

"This guy is a follower of the Zombie King, let’s go."

After saying this to Mo Jun, Lin Jie took one last glance at the Zombie King and then walked out of the ruins, leading Mo Jun to run off in a rather disheveled manner.

No sooner had they come out than Tang Ye immediately took notice of them. Seeing their irregular pace and sensing no New Human aura on them, it seemed they were ordinary people.

"Hmm?"

However, Lin Jie’s disguise was too convincing, and Tang Ye still felt suspicious. Just before the two reached a corner, Tang Ye waved his hand, and a mass of black fog surged over, smashing around them without warning. It was like heaven and earth were collapsing, with stones and dust flying everywhere. Several buildings came down, covering them at once, and after that, no movement was seen.

Tang Ye shifted his gaze away. The two had merely raised his suspicions, and it was a casual strike, with the mindset it’s better to kill incorrectly than to miss an enemy. But such a possibility should be very small.

"Oh, my God!"

Telos couldn’t help but exclaim from a distance, at the black fog that appeared so casually from the Zombie King’s hand, completely beyond any scientific explanation!

This was magic.

His camera had been following Tang Ye closely since his arrival, not willing to miss a single frame.

But at that moment, Telos noticed the woman who was preparing to shoot at Ah Fu. She might have been somewhat stunned by the Zombie King’s sudden appearance, but after a while, he was surprised to see the woman turning the gun around, boldly aiming at the Zombie King!

Though he had no idea what was going on in her mind, Telos was nonetheless startled by this woman’s sudden action.

"Dear Lord! This woman is a madwoman with a death wish!"
