Chapter 75 - The honored one?

Radhaan's eyes widened, his instincts fully kicking in.

He tried to retreat back a few hundred meters, trying to elementalise again, but before he could even make a conscious thought of doing that, his body grew sluggish.

Radhaan's face darkened, turning around just to see—

Johan's body, frozen in mid-air, slowly—each and every muscle stitching itself back to perfection.

First organs, then red flesh, then smooth skin, and slowly, the grinning face of Johan, looking extremely high, as if he were high from the air itself, laughing loudly to himself while staring dazedly at the dark roof of the cave.

He could've regenerated instantly, but was constantly stopping it to make sure Radhaan fell for it.

Another thing was, due to him having fatal injuries, he could've actually died if he lost consciousness. The regeneration wasn't automatic, so the injuries wouldn't have disappeared.

It was extremely difficult to both stay conscious with the pain, and also avoid the impulse the God Tree was giving him to regenerate his body to avoid dying, as the God Tree's consciousness was deeply connected to Johan's. So if Johan went unconscious, it couldn't heal the body any longer either.

Radhaan, by the speed his head had turned towards Johan, instantly realized—he wasn't moving at the 25% speed of light anymore.

"Hahahaha!" Johan laughed again, this time like a maniac serial killer who had found ten people to kill at once, spreading his arms and legs wide in the air, as if feeling the cold air for the first time.

After laughing for a whole minute, he paused, turning his head without moving his body toward Radhaan, locking eyes with him.

His face suddenly became serious—

"To answer the idiotic question your dumbass posed: yes, I also think I am a coward.

But we cowards have levels.

I am a strategic coward. You're a coward acting like a God. An inferior, basically."

He turned his head back toward the roof again—

"If... at that time, I didn't give you that polite smile even after what you did, I would've raised your suspicions—that I was planning to rebel against your rule. If I actually wanted to win against you, I couldn't show it. Not at all."

He took a deep breath, his face becoming extremely ugly just for a second—

"I am guilty of destroying Selene's childhood. But it was not for the reasons you suggested. I love her. Love her. More than anything. No, maybe Alya more? No, Clara? No, why compare? Just know I love her, care for her, and can die for her!" Johan rambled on and on, not even realizing he mentioned Clara.

His voice grew louder, a bit rough—

"At the court hearing, I had no other option but to submit to you. So yes, I made that decision. But I knew there was no way you would kill my family... though I knew some servants and vassal houses would die. And... I let that happen."

Johan shut his eyes tight, sighing deeply—

"Yes, yes, I am trash. I am a coward. I am evil. I am the worst of scum. I am honestly a disgusting piece of shit that shouldn't see another light of day.

But... at least I know what I am."

Johan said it all in a single breath, his voice calm but piercing. Finally gaining a bit of clarity.

"...What did you do!??" Radhaan, losing his cool at Johan's words, asked through gritted teeth.

Johan didn't reply, and then, Johan disappeared from his original spot.

Radhaan looked around fanatically, only to feel a tight grip around his waist—both of Johan's arms hugging him as if trying to crush him, his head pressed harshly on Radhaan's naval area.

Radhaan's eyes widened, "So... this was all just to take me to Orihime's magic range..." he instantly figured out Johan's plan.

Johan smiled like a madman, confirming Radhaan's suspicions.

Instantly, Johan's giant wings spread, and like a jet, he sped towards a hole in the dungeon's wall, the hole they had come from—towards the direction of Orihime's spell, a plan brewing in his mind after all the information he gathered.

Johan suddenly turned around, giving the still shocked Sebastian—who was also surprised by the sudden events—a look, making him wake up from his thoughts.

Sebastian just needed to think for a single second to understand Johan's intentions. He raised both his hands toward Johan's disappearing back, and immediately, "[Gravitational Push]"

Radhaan's body shook, his pupils dilating at feeling an invisible energy incoming towards them. He hit Johan's head from above with his elbow, tens of times in just a few seconds, making it a bloody mess, but—

Johan didn't even flinch, only increasing his speed while regenerating from the wounds on his head with a mad grin.

The [Gravitational Push] finally hit them, and instantly, their bodies vanished—as if they were never there—rushing forward, leaving empty air under thick darkness.

Sebastian sighed with a soft smile. He was right to trust Johan. Johan still had a plan, and that plan was damn good.

Sebastian knew that Johan could regenerate from wounds, but to this degree? But, now everything made sense—how "Olivia" could survive being melted at such high temperatures.

What Johan did was simple. He completely gave up and let Radhaan take full control of the fight. Radhaan didn't know about the regeneration, and only thought that Johan was trusting the ability of [Reflect] for defense, thinking that Johan didn't realize that Radhaan had already cracked the code for the spell.

Johan, while flying, created a basic version of [Defuse]. It was a very weak version as he made it very quickly, but this was enough for the purpose he had in mind—defusing the semi-elementalised state Radhaan was in.

Radhaan suddenly had to depend on his normal physical speed—something he wasn't used to. That's the reason he grew sluggish.

But, he was still obviously extremely fast even if not at the 25% speed of light. He still could've retreated normally, but... he had lowered his guard.

Johan was dead. His molecules evaporated to nothingness due to the pure heat of Radhaan's attack. His body was falling to the ground.

'I wouldn't personally fall for such a trick, but probably because I don't have the arrogance of Radhaan.' Sebastian chuckled to himself, using gravity magic to raise his body with his right hand while preparing another [Gravitational Push] to launch himself and reach there faster.

Orihime was observing every part of the area under her spell, constantly searching for any traces, while holding Olivia tightly—who was trying to rush to Johan and Sebastian.

"It's not logical, and if he really was in danger, he would've just teleported here using my [Paper Figurine]. Also, Sebastian went already. Just be patient." Orihime sighed, exasperated. Why was she here, suddenly fighting fucking Radhaan while handling a bloodthirsty madwoman?

Orihime had placed her hand in Olivia's mouth, while the other wrapped around her waist, trying her best to keep her calm, while killing any monsters that came in the area.

"You don't know anything! Please, I have to go! He will die! Didn't you see how easily Radhaan kicked him? He couldn't even see it... and aren't both Sebastian and Johan around the same level? And also the fact that he seems sick—what can he even do!?" Olivia barked. Due to her heightened senses, she could see Sebastian's health issues clearly.

Before Orihime could argue further, both their eyes widened to the limit.

Johan, tightly hugging Radhaan while rubbing his head softly on his stomach and chest—while Radhaan constantly hit Johan's head with punches, elbows, over and over again—greeted their eyes.

They, at a very high speed, crashed into the nearest wall. Orihime instantly tried teleporting Olivia near Johan to protect him, but... Johan raised his hand, motioning her to stop.

"Orihime! Remove negative current from existence in the spell zone! Sebastian, use [Reflect] on all of us!! Let's bully this motherfucker!" Johan shouted at the top of his lungs with a grin.
