Chapter 78: Reaction Of The World

The room was draped in shadows, its air heavy with tension and malice.

A single flickering light barely illuminated the cold, metallic walls, casting long, jagged shadows.

At the center sat Hanabi, the Vampire Lord. His crimson eyes glowed faintly as he leaned forward in his grand, throne-like chair.

Around him stood his trusted generals: Sophia, her elegant yet deadly demeanor underlined by her icy expression; Ethan, his jet-black hair disheveled and eyes sharp behind his glinting glasses; and Brian, whose fiery red hair mirrored the blazing intensity of his gaze.

A large screen on the opposite wall displayed the face of Zora, the young spokesperson for The-Commission. Zora’s words echoed through the room:

"This epidemic is no virus—it’s a creation of a single individual. Someone wielding powers beyond comprehension. Someone like us."

Hanabi’s expression darkened as the speech continued. The Vampire Lord’s gloved hand clenched the armrest of his chair, the faint sound of cracking leather punctuating the silence.

He turned toward the screen, his eyes narrowing. Then, without warning, his hand shot forward.

A crimson tendril of blood burst from his palm, slicing through the screen with a swift, calculated strike.

The halves of the shattered screen fell to the floor, but the blood returned to his hand, seeping seamlessly back into his body.

The wound on his palm healed in mere moments.

Hanabi stood, his tall figure casting an imposing shadow over his generals.

His voice was calm but carried an undertone of menace.

"So, they’ve decided to reveal themselves to the world."

Sophia stepped forward, her high-heeled boots clicking against the floor.

"Lord Hanabi, this The-Commission could pose a significant threat to our plans. We can’t underestimate them."

Ethan adjusted his glasses, his messy hair falling over his face as he spoke with calculated precision.

"We don’t know the full extent of their powers yet. If even one of them is the person you’ve been seeking, our mission becomes far more complicated."

Brian scoffed, crossing his arms over his broad chest. "They’ve shown their faces to the public. Why not strike directly? Crush them before they can organize further."

Sophia shot him a glare, her ice-blue eyes narrowing. "You fool. Charging in blind would only expose our weaknesses. We don’t even know the identities of three out of the four members. Their strategy is to remain an enigma—something you seem incapable of understanding."

Hanabi raised a hand, silencing them both. His voice was like steel, commanding and final.

"Enough."

The Vampire Lord turned his back to them, staring at the remnants of the broken screen. His words were deliberate, each syllable a declaration of intent.

"We will send orders to all high-level vampires to remain hidden. Use the lower ranks as bait. Let’s test the extent of their strength. If their powers exceed our expectations, we’ll consolidate even more power. And if we gain even a glimpse of their weakness..."

He turned back to face his generals, his lips curling into a sinister smile.

"We strike without hesitation."

The three generals nodded in unison, their faces lighting up with wicked grins.

The shadows of the room seemed to tremble, resonating with Hanabi’s unyielding resolve.

The setting shifted to a cluttered apartment.

Papers, food wrappers, and miscellaneous electronics were strewn across every surface, creating a chaotic yet functional space.

Sitting on the floor amidst the mess was a middle-aged man, his focus entirely on the game displayed on his monitor.

Above the screen, a TV broadcast flickered on. The man’s disheveled hair and unkempt beard gave him the appearance of someone who hadn’t left the confines of his room in weeks.

His sharp eyes caught a glimpse of Zora addressing the nation.

"Look at this brat," he muttered under his breath, his voice dripping with disdain. "A little power and they think they can change the world."

Middle aged man whistles with his lips which results in him getting 4 slashes on the TV.

The screen shattered into four segments before going dark. The man leaned back, his lips curling into a smug grin as he muttered to himself, "Let’s see how long they last."

The next scene unfolded in a old style room. The air was thin with the scent of burning incense, and the soft hum of an old fan filled the silence.

Seated in the middle of the room was an elderly woman, her grey hair falling in waves around her lined face.

Though her eyes were milky white, indicating her blindness, there was an undeniable sharpness in her expression.

On a small television set in front of her, Zora’s speech played on repeat. She leaned forward, a faint smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

"So, these are the four who claim to bring balance," she murmured, her voice soft yet filled with intrigue.

As Zora’s words echoed through the room—"We will ensure balance at any cost"—the woman chuckled softly.

Her milky eyes began to glow faintly, a spectral light illuminating her face.

"Let’s see how capable you truly are."

The glow intensified, casting the room in an eerie light as she whispered to herself,

"Perhaps the world still has a chance for change."

---

The camera shifted to a cozy dining room, where a family sat together.

The clinking of cutlery and the murmur of the television filled the air.

At the far end of the room stood a young woman, Ani, watching the news unfold with wide eyes.

Her parents were engrossed in the broadcast, oblivious to her trembling hands and the look of shock on her face.

"I... I know him," Ani whispered, her voice barely audible.

Her gaze was locked on Zora’s image on the screen, her expression a mix of disbelief and apprehension.

In another part of the city, Leo sat on his couch, phone in hand.

He was speaking with his girlfriend, Susan, while the news played in the background.

Zora’s face appeared on the screen, and Leo’s grip on the phone tightened.

"So, you’re saying you have powers too?" he asked Susan, his voice tinged with curiosity and unease.

His eyes remained glued to the screen, his expression betraying the storm of thoughts brewing in his mind.

Meanwhile, Eric stood in a dimly lit gym, watching the broadcast with a confident grin.

Clenching his fists, he muttered to himself, "I want to fight this guy. But first, I need to get stronger."

The Chapter concluded with the world beginning new Era of this world, its balance shifting as individuals reacted to Zora’s declaration.

Forces from all corners prepared for what was to come, each with their own motives and agendas. The stage was set for the battles that lay ahead.
