Chapter: Exploring the Union’s Core

---

Adam stepped out of the pristine white room, the futuristic holographic displays still vivid in his mind.

As the door slid shut behind him, Zero, who stood nearby, tilted his head slightly in curiosity. "Lord Adam," Zero began, his tone polite but inquisitive, "didn’t the room meet your expectations?"

Adam turned back, a small smirk forming on his lips. "It’s not that I wasn’t impressed, Zero. On the contrary, it’s extraordinary. But I want to see everything this base has to offer. It’s easy to get lost admiring one thing, and I’m here for the full picture."

Zero gave a respectful nod, stepping aside to let Adam pass. "Understood, Lord Adam. There is much more to see."

As Adam continued down the illuminated corridor, Ninja and Phantom followed silently, their presence a steady reassurance.

The soft hum of the overhead lights filled the space, blending seamlessly with the faint mechanical sounds of the base’s advanced systems.

Suddenly, a shimmering blue light flashed ahead of them, followed by the faint sound of wings. Before Adam could react, Sona and Taiyo appeared midair, their tiny forms glowing faintly in the corridor’s bright light.

Startled for a brief moment, Adam quickly relaxed, a grin spreading across his face. "You two always know how to make an entrance," he said warmly. "Perfect timing as always. Let’s explore the rest of this base together."

The two fairies exchanged an amused glance before nodding in unison. They flitted behind Adam, their wings leaving faint trails of golden and blue light as they hovered close.

The group soon reached the end of the corridor, where a staircase spiraled upward.

Its polished metal railings gleamed under the corridor lights, giving the ascent a grand yet functional feel. Adam glanced upward, curiosity igniting in his eyes.

Without hesitation, he began climbing the stairs, each step resonating faintly in the quiet space. Ninja, Phantom, Sona, and Tayo followed closely behind, their collective presence a blend of silent precision and ethereal grace.

At the top of the staircase, Adam entered a massive hall.

The sheer scale of the space was breathtaking—an expansive, cathedral-like chamber with a high ceiling that gave it an air of grandeur.

Rows of empty seats lined the edges, their arrangement neat but stark against the otherwise barren room.

Adam paused, his eyes scanning the space. Turning to Zero, who had just joined them, he raised an eyebrow. "This room looks... underwhelming," he commented, his tone laced with mild disappointment.

Zero, however, remained unfazed, a confident smile playing on his synthetic face. "Lord Adam," he replied smoothly, "it only appears this way because you’ve yet to see its true potential."

With a single motion, Zero raised his hand, and the room began to shift. A low, mechanical hum filled the air as the floor in the center of the chamber opened seamlessly.

From the depths below, a circular table emerged, its surface gleaming under the lights. Around it, chairs rose in perfect alignment, creating a sophisticated conference setup.

In the table’s center, a holographic screen materialized, projecting a glowing blue emblem. Adam’s eyes immediately recognized the symbol—it was the insignia of The Union.

Walking toward the table, Adam ran a hand over one of the chairs, impressed by the smooth, high-tech material. "This is... impressive," he admitted, his tone genuine. "But is this just a fancy conference room?"

Zero’s smile widened, his pride evident. "Not at all, Lord Adam," he said, his voice brimming with confidence.

With another gesture, Zero activated the room’s next transformation. The table and chairs receded into the floor as if they had never been there, leaving the space empty once more.

This time, the floor itself began to change. Alternating black and white tiles emerged, forming intricate geometric patterns that gave the hall a strikingly modern yet elegant aesthetic.

The walls, too, began to shift. What was once plain white now displayed intricate blue and silver designs, pulsating faintly as if alive. Screens appeared along the walls, one after another, until the room was surrounded by a dazzling array of holographic displays.

Adam stood in the center of the transformed space, his sharp eyes taking in the full scope of the room’s capabilities. "What’s all this?" he asked, intrigued.

Zero gestured toward the largest screen, which projected a detailed map of the surrounding city.

Data streams flowed across it, showcasing real-time analytics, surveillance feeds, and mission updates.

"This, Lord Adam," Zero explained, "is our Command Center—the heart of this base. From here, we can monitor and coordinate all our operations with unparalleled efficiency."

As Adam processed Zero’s words, one of the screens flickered to life, revealing a familiar face. Pratham’s composed image appeared on the display, his gaze steady as always.

"Lord Adam," Pratham began, his voice calm yet authoritative, "I thought it prudent to connect directly to the Command Center. From here, I can assist you in fully exploring its capabilities."

Adam’s lips curved into a faint smile. "Of course you would," he said, his tone amused. "You’ve always been the overseer, haven’t you?"

Pratham’s digital form gave a small nod. "It is my duty, Lord Adam."

Adam is very happy at this moment. He cannot express his happiness in words but he looks at all his companies with a big smile and is thankful to all of them.

Adam turned to the others—Ninja, Phantom, Sona, and Taiyo—his expression one of quiet pride. "This is more than I expected," he admitted, his voice carrying a rare note of admiration. "You’ve all outdone yourselves."

The group exchanged brief glances, their loyalty evident in their postures. Phantom hovered slightly closer, her glowing form shimmering with faint energy. "Lord Adam," she said softly, "this is only the beginning. There’s more to show you."

Adam’s smile deepened. "Then let’s not waste any time," he replied, his anticipation building.

The Chapter concludes with Adam standing in the heart of the Command Center, surrounded by his trusted allies, ready to uncover the full potential of The Union’s first base.
