Chapter 251: A Morning of Relief

Chapter: A Morning of Relief

---

The Chapter opens with the sound of the President’s speech echoing across televisions and radios nationwide.

Families, gathered around their screens, hang onto every word. The confirmation of the vampire threat’s resolution sends ripples of relief through the country.

In households once filled with fear and tension, laughter and optimism return.

Children play outside for the first time in weeks, neighbors exchange hopeful glances, and businesses begin preparing for a long-awaited reopening.

The President’s promise of safety resonates deeply, marking the start of a new Chapter for the nation.

Now people will be able to go out comfortably without any fear and without the danger of being attacked by any vampire, this is what people have been needing for a long time to live in peace.

The scene shifts to the cozy living room of Adam’s parents, Ricky and Rachel.

The couple sits on a comfortable gray couch, the warm morning sunlight streaming through the curtains.

A tray with empty coffee mugs rests on the table in front of them, the remnants of their morning ritual.

Ricky, still dressed in his pajamas, leans back with a contented sigh. "Honey, I think we can finally return to our normal lives," he says, his tone lighter than it has been in weeks.

Rachel, seated beside him, smiles warmly, her hands resting on her lap. "You’re right," she replies, her voice carrying a mix of relief and joy.

But her expression soon shifts, a trace of concern crossing her face. She tilts her head slightly, gazing toward the stairs. "It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen Adam this morning. Do you think he’s okay?"

Ricky straightens up, his brow furrowing slightly as he considers her words. "Now that you mention it, I don’t think he’s up yet. Should we check on him?"

Rachel places a hand lightly on her cheek, her motherly instinct kicking in. "I hope he’s not unwell," she says softly. Rising from the couch, she adds, "I’ll go check on him."

Ricky nods, watching her ascend the stairs before returning his gaze to the television.

Rachel steps quietly into Adam’s room, the door creaking slightly as she pushes it open. The room is tidy, its minimalistic decor reflecting Adam’s personality—functional yet welcoming.

The sunlight filters through partially drawn curtains, casting soft shadows on the floor.

Adam lies sprawled on his bed, his blankets slightly askew. Rachel approaches him carefully, her footsteps barely making a sound on the wooden floor.

She leans over, gently placing the back of her wrist against his forehead to check for any signs of fever. At that moment, Adam stirs, his eyes fluttering open. His gaze meets hers, confusion clouding his face.

"Mom? Why are you in my room so early?" he mumbles, his voice thick with sleep.

Rachel straightens up, startled but relieved. A gentle smile spreads across her face. "Adam, look at the time. It’s not early at all."

Blinking, Adam turns his head toward the clock on his bedside table. His eyes widen in shock as he reads the numbers: 10:00 a.m.

"10:00?" he exclaims, sitting up abruptly. "I usually wake up at 6:00! And if I don’t, Pratham always wakes me up. What’s going on?"

His gaze sweeps the room, landing on Sona, curled up on a small, makeshift bed nearby. Her golden energy glows faintly even in sleep, a peaceful expression on her ethereal face.

Adam quickly realizes that his creations must have chosen to let him rest after the grueling events of the past few days.

Rachel chuckles at Adam’s flustered state, raising an amused eyebrow. "Are you still half-asleep?" she teases, placing her hands on her hips. "Honestly, I didn’t wake you because I thought you might have stayed up late last night."

Adam grins sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. "Guess I really needed the sleep," he admits. His stomach growls softly, prompting Rachel to laugh.

"Breakfast is ready," she says, her tone affectionate. "We all ate ages ago, but I kept yours warm. Go freshen up and come downstairs."

"Thanks, Mom," Adam replies with a smile. "I’ll be down in a bit."

Later, Adam joins his parents at the dining table. The dining room is bright and inviting, with potted plants adorning the windowsill and the scent of freshly brewed coffee lingering in the air.

Ricky looks up from his newspaper as Adam enters, a cheerful smile lighting up his face. "Good morning, son," he greets. "Finally decided to join us, huh?"

Adam laughs, pulling out a chair and sitting down. "Good morning, Dad. Yeah, I guess I overslept."

Rachel places a plate of scrambled eggs and toast in front of Adam, her motherly pride evident in the way she fusses over the presentation. "Eat up," she says, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.

As Adam eats, Ricky leans back in his chair, folding the newspaper neatly. "So, how’s your school break going so far?" he asks, his tone lighthearted.

Adam pauses, smirking as he replies, "Honestly? Not as relaxing as I’d hoped."

Ricky chuckles, shaking his head. "Well, enjoy it while you can. Your vacation’s almost over."

The three share a laugh, the conversation flowing easily as the weight of recent events feels momentarily lifted.

The warm atmosphere of the dining room, combined with the love and care of his parents, provides Adam with a rare moment of normalcy amidst the chaos of his responsibilities.

As the Chapter closes, Adam finds himself reflecting on the peace of this moment. While he knows the challenges ahead are immense, the unwavering support of his family and creations strengthens his resolve.

Outside, the city begins to stir, the promise of a new day bringing hope to its people. And within the quiet walls of his home, Adam takes solace in the love surrounding him, preparing for the battles yet to come.

The Chapter ends on this note of quiet optimism, a brief but meaningful respite before the next phase of Adam’s journey unfolds.
