Chapter 234: The Gathering of Forces

Chapter: The Gathering of Forces

The dark energy orb danced dangerously at the tip of the Cosmic Being’s finger, its ominous glow casting eerie shadows across the room.

It hovered mere inches from Leo’s face, the energy pulsing as if eager to unleash destruction.

Leo clenched his jaw, refusing to show fear even as the room seemed to tremble with the weight of impending doom.

But then, to everyone’s surprise, the Cosmic Being paused. A smirk of arrogance spread across his face as he slowly lowered his hand. The orb fizzled out, its energy dissipating into the air.

Krish and Emily exchanged confused glances. This sudden restraint was uncharacteristic of their master.

Before they could ask, the Cosmic Being released Ani’s face from his grip and stepped back. His gaze shifted sharply toward the ceiling, his eyes narrowing.

"They’re here," he muttered, his voice laced with frustration.

Everyone froze, the weight of his words hanging heavily in the air.

"Master, who’s here?" Krish asked hesitantly, his tone betraying both curiosity and concern.

"The creations," the Cosmic Being growled, a flicker of irritation crossing his face. "Adam’s creations. They’ve found us."

His frustration was palpable, each word dripping with anger. Without waiting for further questions, he extended one hand toward his subordinates and the other toward the hostages—Ani, Leo, and Susan.

"We’re leaving," he declared, his tone brooking no argument.

Around Krish, Emily, and the three hostages, a swirling vortex of black energy began to form.

The whirling mass resembled a black hole, dark and foreboding, the same method the Cosmic Being had used to teleport Krish to safety before.

The vortex’s pull grew stronger, distorting the air around it. Ani, Leo, and Susan felt the tug against their restraints, the room seemingly collapsing in on itself.

But just as the black hole began to stabilize, an unfamiliar voice echoed from the shadows.

"This time, you won’t escape."

The command carried an authority that sliced through the air like a blade.

In an instant, the black hole disintegrated. The swirling energy collapsed in on itself with a violent crack, leaving only silence in its wake.

The Cosmic Being spun around, his expression a mixture of shock and disbelief. "Who dares?" he hissed, his voice low and menacing.

Hours earlier, in Adam’s base, a storm of activity had unfolded.

Pratham appeared on Adam’s monitor, his digital avatar glowing brightly. His report was concise but urgent.

"Lord Adam, we’ve initiated counterattacks against the cyberattacker targeting our assets. Many of their systems have already been disabled."

Adam leaned closer to the screen, his eyes sharp. "Have you found their location?"

Pratham hesitated, a flicker of frustration crossing his digital face. "The attacker is incredibly skilled, Lord Adam.

They’ve been constantly shifting their IP address and have even shut down their systems to avoid detection."

Adam’s brow furrowed, but his voice remained steady. "Destroy everything they have left," he ordered.

A determined smile spread across Pratham’s face. "Consider it done."

Turning from the screen, Adam directed his gaze toward Sona, who floated nearby. Her golden wings shimmered faintly in the dim light, and her expression was one of anticipation.

"Sona," Adam said, his voice firm. "Summon every psychic spirit from your dimension."

Sona’s eyes widened in surprise. "Lord Adam, are you certain?"

Adam nodded, his resolve unshakable. "We need every ally we can muster."

Sona closed her eyes and focused, her wings spreading wide as golden light radiated from her form. A glowing blue window materialized before Adam, displaying a message:

"Your creation, Sona, wishes to summon all psychic spirits from her dimension. Do you approve?"

Without hesitation, Adam mentally selected "Yes."

He moved to the window and watched as the first psychic spirit emerged from the skies above his city.

One by one, they appeared—brilliant beings of light, each unique in form and aura. Some had crimson wings, others golden or blue.

Their radiant energies illuminated the darkened skies, casting shimmering patterns across the buildings below.

Each spirit bore distinct features. Some had flowing hair in vibrant hues, others wore intricate garments that glowed with ethereal energy. Their presence exuded power, and the air itself seemed to hum with their arrival.

The sky filled rapidly, the spirits forming a vast, shimmering army that stretched as far as the eye could see. Adam stood at the window, awe and determination etched on his face.

"This is just the beginning," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

In the distance, the spirits began to organize, their energies syncing as they prepared for the battle to come.

The sky over Adam’s house teemed with psychic spirits, their radiant forms filling every corner of the heavens.

Adam, standing by his window, marveled at the sheer magnitude of their presence. Wherever his eyes wandered, he saw nothing but the luminous forms of the spirits hovering and waiting for orders.

"How many are there, Sona?" Adam asked, his voice carrying a mix of awe and curiosity.

Sona, glowing with pride, floated closer to him. "Seven million, Lord Adam," she replied confidently. "Our lifespan is vast, and though our population grows slowly, we’ve reached this number after centuries of existence."

Adam nodded thoughtfully. "Give them the order to search for Ani, Leo, and Susan. We don’t have time to waste."

Without hesitation, Sona’s golden aura brightened as she activated her telepathic skill. Every spirit in the sky paused for a brief moment, bowing their heads in unison toward Adam. The act sent a ripple of emotion through him, a humbling reminder that he was their creator.

Turning to Sona, Adam gave a small smile. "Connect me to them telepathically."

Sona nodded, her wings emitting a faint hum as she linked Adam to her psychic network. "It’s done, Lord Adam. You may now speak to them."

Adam’s gaze swept over the vast sky. Taking a deep breath, he issued his command, his voice carrying weight and authority:

"My creations, spread across the city. Search every corner and leave no stone unturned. Find the three people Sona has mentioned and report back immediately."

The spirits responded without a sound. Like a wave of shimmering light, they dispersed, their forms darting across the city like shooting stars.

Though invisible to ordinary humans, their immense power sent faint tremors through the air. Any powerful beings in the vicinity would undoubtedly feel their presence.

Far away, in an abandoned building cloaked in shadows, the Cosmic Being stood with his subordinates. The ground floor was dimly lit, its cold concrete walls echoing faint sounds of distant activity.

Ani, Leo, and Susan were bound to chairs in the center of the room, their expressions a mixture of fear and defiance. Around them, Krish, Emily, and the Cosmic Being maintained their watch.

Above the building, a cluster of psychic spirits hovered, their golden energy pulsating faintly as they detected the Cosmic Being’s immense power. More spirits circled the area, reporting their findings back to Sona.

In Adam’s room, Sona received the information and immediately turned to him. "Lord Adam, we’ve found something," she said, her tone urgent.

Adam, who had been deep in conversation with Pratham about their progress in dismantling the enemy’s cyber infrastructure, immediately turned his attention to her. "What is it?" he asked.

Sona’s golden wings shimmered as she floated closer. "To the south, there’s an abandoned building where a powerful presence has been detected. The spirits believe it might be connected to Ani and your friends."

Adam’s eyes narrowed as his mind processed the information. "Send more spirits to the location," he ordered.

Sona nodded. "I already have, Lord Adam. They’re awaiting your instructions before taking any action."

Adam turned to Phantom, who was gazing out of the window. She sensed his gaze and turned to face him, her large, transparent blue form towering gracefully as she floated toward him.

"Lord Adam," Phantom said, bowing slightly. "What would you have me do?"

Adam regarded her for a moment before speaking. "Phantom, connect to the spirits at the location and verify if Ani and the others are there."

Phantom nodded. She drifted toward Sona, her translucent figure glowing faintly. With a deliberate motion, she raised a single finger and placed it gently on Sona’s forehead.

In that instant, Phantom’s energy merged with the psychic network. The connection allowed her to access the spirits’ collective senses, granting her insight into the scene near the abandoned building.

Phantom’s glowing blue eyes flickered as she processed the information relayed by the spirits. She projected a thin beam of red energy from her forehead, aiming it toward the building. The energy struck its target, rebounding back into her mind as a vivid vision.

Her eyes snapped open, glowing intensely as she returned to Adam’s room.

"Lord Adam," she began, her voice steady but urgent. "I have detected their location. Ani, Leo, and Susan are indeed in that building."

Adam’s breath caught for a moment, but he quickly composed himself. He tightened his grip on the armrest of his chair and leaned forward. "Prepare to act," he ordered, his voice filled with determination.

Around him, his creations braced themselves, ready for the next phase of their mission.
