Chapter 164: The Spirits Unite

Chapter: Sona’s Awakening

The room was filled with a quiet hum, the kind of silence that spoke of recovery rather than peace. Adam stood near the door, his sharp eyes scanning the room.

The small but well-kept space belonged to Ani, who sat beside the bed where Sona lay unconscious, her delicate figure resting against the plush pillows.

Yami was also there, pacing slowly, her face betraying her concern.

Adam took a moment to reflect, the weight of recent events still heavy in his mind.

His gaze shifted to Ani, whose eyes rarely left Sona. Her worry was palpable, and Adam could see the guilt etched into her expression.

Though the room seemed calm on the surface, it held an undercurrent of tension—an unspoken fear shared by everyone present.

---

Time passed slowly, marked only by the subtle sounds of breathing and the occasional rustle of fabric.

Adam found himself staying close to Ani, their silent presence offering mutual comfort. Yami, ever the protective older sister, hovered nearby, her watchful eyes flitting between the two.

A faint stir broke the stillness. All eyes turned toward the bed as Sona’s small frame shifted beneath the blanket.

Her breathing deepened, and her eyelids fluttered open. For a moment, she seemed disoriented, her vibrant blue eyes scanning the room.

As she moved, the golden wings on her back, which had been wrapped tightly around her body in a protective cocoon, unfurled with a soft, whispering sound.

The pale, ethereal golden stretched outward, their glow faint but steady, as though responding to her awakening.

Sona sat up slowly, her movements cautious as if testing her strength. Despite her fragile appearance, there was a quiet resilience in her posture. Her small size made her seem delicate, but those who knew her understood the strength hidden beneath.

---

The green dress she wore, once torn and bloodstained from the earlier attack, was now pristine. The gashes in the fabric were gone, as if they had never existed.

Even the wounds beneath had healed completely, thanks to the meticulous care provided by Tayo. The Sun Spirit, perched nearby, observed Sona with a soft, golden glow, its presence exuding a sense of calm and protection.

Sona’s eyes swept over the room, finally settling on the figures standing before her. Adam stepped forward first, his steady gaze meeting hers.

"Sona," he said, his voice firm yet gentle, "are you okay?"

Sona blinked at him, then at Yami and Ani, who had joined him at the bedside. Her voice, soft but tinged with confusion, broke the silence. "Where are we?"

Ani crouched beside her, her face filled with remorse. "Sona," she began, her voice trembling slightly, "I’m so sorry. You had to go through so much because of me."

Before Sona could respond, Adam interjected, his tone calm but reassuring. "Sona, we’re back. Everything’s fine now. I’ve sorted everything out in Pratham and Mikasa’s dimensional plane."

Sona’s gaze shifted back to Adam, her blue eyes glistening with emotion. "Lord Adam," she said softly, her voice heavy with guilt, "please forgive me. I failed you... and I put Miss Ani in danger again."

---

Ani’s expression turned resolute, her voice firm as she replied,

"What are you saying, Sona? If it weren’t for you, I don’t know what would’ve happened to me. You were hurt because you protected me! Do you have any idea how worried I was about you? If something had happened to you, I’d never be able to forgive myself."

Sona’s gaze shifted to Ani, her expression softening at her words. For a moment, the room seemed to hold its breath, the depth of their bond evident in the unspoken understanding that passed between them.

Adam stepped closer, his voice steady as he addressed Sona. "Sona, you’re incredibly kind-hearted. That’s exactly why I entrusted Ani’s safety to you. I knew you were not only kind but also strong. But..." His tone grew firmer, carrying a note of admonition. "I never asked you to sacrifice yourself. Don’t ever think you need to put yourself in danger like that."

Sona looked up at Adam, her expression a mix of gratitude and determination. The weight of his words settled over her, and though she remained silent, the resolve in her eyes spoke volumes.

The soft golden light from the window bathed the room, its warmth brushing against the faces of those inside.

Adam stood tall in the center, his presence commanding yet calm. Ani was close by, her hands gently adjusting Sona’s small frame as the tiny spirit rested on the bed.

The air felt lighter now that Sona had awakened, her vibrant energy beginning to fill the room.

Sona’s eyes, a mesmerizing blue, darted between Adam and Ani as her senses fully returned. Though her size was diminutive, the strength in her gaze spoke volumes. Adam knelt slightly to meet her eye level, his voice steady as he reassured her.

"Sona, you don’t have to worry anymore," he said. "This time, I didn’t make the same mistake. I’ve brought Pratham and Mikasa back with us, and I’ve even granted them the power to return to their world whenever they choose."

Hearing this, Sona’s expression softened, relief washing over her delicate features. She sat up straighter, her wings fluttering lightly behind her, emitting a soft glow.

Yami, who had been silently observing, stepped forward with a warm smile. "Sona," she said, her tone gentle yet admiring, "your size may be small, but your bravery is unmatched."

---

Sona’s wings, golden and shimmering with light, flapped energetically as she stood. Her small, leaf-like green dress swayed as she launched into the air, gracefully hovering a few feet above the ground.

Bowing her head slightly, she spoke with genuine emotion.

"I’m so grateful to all of you for caring about me," she said, her voice steady despite her petite frame. Turning her gaze to Adam, she added, "Lord Adam, it means so much to me that I could be of use to you."

Adam’s lips curled into a smile, his eyes filled with both pride and affection.

After a moment of quiet, Adam turned to Ani, his expression shifting to one of resolve. "I think it’s time we head out," he said.

"I’ve been away from home for far too long, and the situation outside is still unresolved. The Vampire Lord is still on the loose, and I need to find him before he causes more chaos. Only then can we bring peace."

Ani nodded, her concern evident, though she trusted Adam’s judgment. Before she could respond, Yami stepped forward, her brow furrowed slightly.

"You’re taking on too much responsibility, Adam," she said, her voice firm yet caring. "Not everything needs to fall on your shoulders. You need to let others help you."

Adam chuckled softly, appreciating her concern. "Yami, these responsibilities became mine the day I was given this power," he replied. His words carried the weight of acceptance, a testament to his unwavering resolve.

Yami sighed but couldn’t help the smile that formed on her lips. "You’re wiser than I give you credit for," she admitted, her voice softening.

Adam’s grin widened, his tone light as he replied, "That’s one of the nicest things you’ve ever said to me."

As he spoke, Sona flitted through the air and gently landed on Adam’s left shoulder, her golden wings folding neatly behind her. The small spirit looked at him with admiration, her presence both comforting and reassuring.

A moment later, Tayo, who had been perched on Yami’s shoulder, spread her brilliant blue wings and soared toward Adam.

She settled gracefully on his right shoulder, her golden hair shimmering like sunlight. Her mismatched eyes—one blue, the other crimson—glimmered with quiet intensity as she glanced at Sona, her companion.

Adam stood still for a moment, his two creations perched on either side.

On his left, Sona, the psychic Spirit, with her golden wings, blue hair, and leaf-like green dress, radiated a gentle yet resolute energy.

On his right, Tayo, the Sun Spirit, exuded fiery strength with her blue wings, golden dress, and dual-colored eyes.

Turning to Ani and Yami, Adam raised his hand in a small wave. "Take care, both of you," he said with a warm smile.

Yami crossed her arms, a smirk playing on her lips. "Don’t get yourself into too much trouble," she teased, though her tone carried genuine concern.

Ani, her voice soft but determined, simply said, "Come back safe, Adam."

Hearing this from Ani, Adam becomes very happy and a smile comes on his face.

Adam nodded, his gaze lingering on them for a moment. Then, with a soft glow enveloping his body, he teleported out of the room, taking Sona and Tayo with him.

As the light faded, Ani and Yami exchanged a glance, their thoughts aligned. Despite their worries, they knew Adam’s resolve was unshakable. The room fell quiet once more, the faint hum of magic lingering in the air.

And thus, the Chapter came to a close, the journey ahead brimming with challenges yet to be faced.
