Chapter 122: Ani and Adam Communication

Chapter 122: Ani and Adam Communication

The room was dimly lit, with only the faint glow of the setting sun seeping through the sheer curtains, casting soft, golden patterns across the walls.

Adam sat on the bed, his posture stiff, eyes distant as if lost in a whirlwind of his own thoughts. Across from him, Ani sat silently, her eyes filled with concern.

For a moment, there was only the sound of their breaths, mingling with the faint chirping of birds outside. Then, Ani moved.

Slowly, deliberately, she reached out, her delicate hand sliding beneath Adam’s clenched fists. Her fingers brushed against his palm, warm and reassuring, and she gently pulled his hand toward her face.

Adam flinched slightly, his stormy eyes snapping to Ani as she pressed his hand against her cheek.

Her gaze was soft but steady, filled with an unspoken understanding. For a moment, the tension in his shoulders eased, his anger dissipating like smoke in the air.

"I had to tell you," Ani whispered, her voice trembling yet resolute. "I couldn’t keep this inside anymore. It was eating me up."

Adam’s brows furrowed as he processed her words. Slowly, his other hand moved to cover hers, which still rested on his cheek.

A faint, almost imperceptible smile curved his lips. "You thought of me," he murmured, his voice low, almost reverent. "In your most troubled moments, you thought of me. That means more than you know."

Ani’s eyes brightened, a flicker of relief and happiness crossing her face.

Her lips parted to speak, but she hesitated, caught in the weight of his words. Adam noticed the way her fingers trembled slightly, and his heart softened.

"You came here because you trusted me," Adam continued, his voice steadier now, laced with a gentle warmth. "That... makes me happy, Ani. Truly."

Ani’s smile widened, though she quickly averted her gaze, her cheeks tinged with a faint pink. She removed her hand from his cheek, placing it gently on her lap, but her expression remained tender.

Behind them, unnoticed until now, Yami sat quietly in the corner. She leaned slightly forward, her sharp gaze flickering between Adam and Ani.

Yami had never seen Ani like this before—so vulnerable, so open. It was a side of her sister she didn’t know existed, and the sight brought an unfamiliar warmth to her heart.

Adam leaned back slightly, his eyes meeting Ani’s once more. "You’ve probably seen it on TV," he began, his tone shifting to something more serious, "how there are people out there now with... unique abilities. Abilities that no one could have imagined."

Ani tilted her head, curiosity sparking in her eyes. She nodded, prompting him to continue.

From the corner, Yami’s voice broke the silence. "Yeah," she said thoughtfully, her tone measured. "Like the one who attacked us. I think their ability had something to do with gravity."

Adam turned his head slightly, acknowledging Yami’s observation with a nod. "Exactly," he said. "If I remember correctly, these abilities started appearing after that asteroid passed close to Earth. The energy it emitted... it changed some people."

Ani leaned forward, her curiosity deepening. "Does that mean... you have an ability too?"

The question hung in the air for a moment, heavy and charged. Adam’s expression shifted subtly, a flicker of something unreadable passing across his face. Then, he nodded slowly.

"Yes," he admitted, his voice steady but low.

Yami, who had moved closer, raised an eyebrow. "What kind of ability?" she asked, her tone sharp but not unkind. "Teleportation, maybe?"

Adam chuckled softly, shaking his head. "No," he replied, his voice laced with an almost mischievous edge. "What I have... is far greater."

Ani and Yami exchanged a glance, their intrigue growing by the second.

"What is it?" Ani pressed, leaning even closer.

Adam hesitated for a brief moment, then leaned back, his expression calm but resolute. "It’s better if I show you," he said.

The room seemed to grow quieter, the anticipation thick in the air. Yami, who had been perched on the edge of a chair, rose and moved closer to the bed, standing beside Ani. Both sisters watched intently as Adam extended his hands in front of him, his palms open and facing upward.

"Visible mode," Adam murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "On."

In an instant, a soft purple glow appeared in the air before him, forming a translucent window. The faint outlines of text flickered across its surface, and Adam’s gaze shifted slightly as he mentally selected an option yes.

The golden glow began at his wrists, small sparks of light dancing along his skin before spreading upward. Ani and Yami both gasped softly, their eyes widening as the glow intensified.

The light grew brighter, almost blinding, as it seemed to take shape. Then, before their eyes, two figures emerged from the light.

The first was small and delicate, with flowing blue hair and a dress of vibrant green that resembled fresh leaves.

She hovered in the air for a moment before gracefully landing on Adam’s hand. Her wings, four shimmering golden structures, sparkled like sunlight filtering through a forest canopy.

The second figure was taller, her golden hair cascading like molten metal. Her dress, a radiant gold, caught the light, creating an almost ethereal glow.

Her wings, in contrast to the first, were a brilliant blue, and her mismatched eyes—one blue, one red—shone with an otherworldly intensity.

Ani and Yami stared, their expressions a mixture of awe and disbelief. The two spirits, Sona and Tayo, gazed back at them, their presence filling the room with a quiet, almost divine energy.

As Sona gently perched on Adam’s right hand, Tayo took her place on his left. The room fell silent once more, the weight of the moment sinking in.

And just as Ani and Yami began to comprehend what they were seeing, the Chapter drew to a close, leaving them—and the world they shared with Adam—forever changed.

---

The warm light streaming through the room fell gently upon the faces of Adam, Ani, and Yami. It illuminated every detail of the spirits, Sona and Tayo, their unique forms drawing all eyes toward them.

Ani’s pale, blue eyes reflected her amazement, fixated on Sona, while Yami’s gaze shifted between Tayo and her sister, her expression a mix of astonishment and curiosity.

Sona, perched delicately on Adam’s right hand, fluttered her delicate golden wings. The psychic spirit’s light-green dress shimmered like leaves kissed by the morning dew.

Her blue hair cascaded in soft waves, adding an ethereal touch to her tiny form. Suddenly, she lifted off Adam’s hand and hovered in the air, heading toward Ani.

Ani gasped, her wide eyes tracking Sona’s every movement. The spirit stopped a few inches from Ani’s face, her tiny features forming a bright smile.

"Miss Ani, I have always wanted to meet you face to face," Sona said in a voice as soft and melodious as a lullaby.

Ani’s surprise turned into speechless awe. She blinked several times, trying to process what she was seeing and hearing. Yami, standing nearby, also stared in disbelief at the interaction.

Adam’s voice broke the silence. "Her name is Sona," he said, gesturing toward the spirit. "She’s my creation, a psychic spirit born from my abilities." He moved his hand to point toward Tayo, who was seated on his left hand. "And this is Tayo, the sun spirit you’ve likely seen in action before."

Recognition flashed across Yami’s face. "Tayo! Yes, I remember now. I was wondering where I had seen her before."

Adam nodded, a hint of pride in his tone. "I created them both."

---

Ani, however, was utterly entranced by Sona, who hovered just inches from her face. The white-haired girl’s curiosity was palpable, her blue eyes sparkling with wonder.

The faint golden light from Sona’s wings reflected in Ani’s hair, giving it a soft sheen. Gently, Ani extended her hand toward Sona, her voice tender and full of emotion.

"Sona, may I hold you in my hand?"

Sona giggled, her laughter like the sound of chimes in the breeze. "Of course, Miss Ani."

With utmost care, Ani cupped her hands, allowing Sona to land lightly in her palm. She brought the tiny spirit closer to her face, marveling at the intricate details of Sona’s appearance.

A soft fragrance, reminiscent of blooming flowers, wafted from Sona, causing Ani to inhale deeply.

"You smell so lovely," Ani whispered, a smile spreading across her face. She held Sona close, hugging the tiny spirit gently.

Sona, in turn, wrapped her small arms around Ani’s cheek, her size allowing her to embrace only part of Ani’s face.

The sight brought a warm glow to Yami’s heart. She stepped forward, her gaze now fixed on Tayo, who sat quietly on Adam’s left hand.

"Adam," Yami began, her voice filled with a mixture of excitement and hesitation. "May I hold her? Tayo, I mean."

Adam turned to look at Tayo, who met his gaze and gave a small nod. Without hesitation, Tayo’s golden form lifted off Adam’s hand, her vibrant blue wings leaving a faint shimmer in the air as she flew toward Yami.

The elder sister’s face lit up as Tayo reached her. "You’re so adorable!" Yami exclaimed, her tone filled with genuine affection. She reached out, and Tayo settled into her hands gracefully.

As Yami brought Tayo closer for a hug, the sun spirit responded with a soft chuckle, leaning forward to gently press her small hands against Yami’s cheek in an affectionate gesture. Yami’s smile widened, her joy evident in every line of her face.

---

Seated on the bed, Adam watched the interactions with quiet amusement. He leaned back slightly, his gaze shifting between Ani and Yami as they bonded with the spirits.

So far, every girl who has met them reacts the same way, Adam thought with a sigh, his lips curving into a faint smile.

He allowed himself a moment of reflection. These spirits, his creations, had brought a sense of wonder to everyone they encountered.

It was a sharp contrast to the battles and dangers he often faced. For now, he was content to sit back and let this moment of peace unfold.

Breaking the silence, Adam let out a light chuckle. "You know," he said, addressing Ani directly, "I created them. So, if you want to hug something, I’m right here too."

His comment hung in the air, but Ani, completely absorbed in Sona, didn’t seem to hear him.

She continued to study the psychic spirit in her hands, her expression one of pure fascination.

Adam sighed again, this time more dramatically, and leaned back further on the bed. His relaxed posture belied the amusement in his eyes as he watched the scene before him.

---

The Chapter concluded with the golden glow of the spirits filling the room, their presence bringing warmth and light.

Ani and Yami’s interactions with Sona and Tayo created a serene atmosphere, one that stood in stark contrast to the challenges Adam had recently faced.

Yet, even amidst the calm, Adam’s mind remained restless, always anticipating what lay ahead.
