Chapter 82: Chapter 81 The Nonexistent Hotel

Hans was dead.

Wei Tianyang sat at the table, staring at the corpse on the floor, calculating what his next move should be.

Ruan Yu was in Linjiang City, and so was Li Fei’s team.

Whether he helped Li Fei or not, he could easily cross Six-faced God Mountain without hindrance, but he didn’t want to owe the guerrillas any favors.

Moreover, those conservative faction’s official armies, in both emotion and reason, didn’t deserve to keep living.

Li Bin walked to the window, lit a cigarette, and said, "We’re very close now, Wei Tianyang, very close."

Wei Tianyang looked toward the injection table in the corner of the room, hearing Ruan Yu’s voice in his head.

"You’re only twelve steps away from Yin Country."

He jumped off the table, entered objective reality, then climbed through the window and jumped down from the unfinished building.

In mid-air, he turned into a moth, gently landed, then changed back into human form and exited objective reality.

The deceased guerrillas also arrived with him at the open space between the unfinished buildings, a huge crowd of people gathered from all directions, emerging from the woods, stepping out of shadows, and surrounding him in the center.

Wei Tianyang took out the AK47 from his right arm, held it high with one hand, and declared, "They want war."

He looked around, Li Bin was right behind him, Du Yan appeared from the shadows, slowly walking to his side.

All the guerrillas gazed at Wei Tianyang with eager eyes, their eyes shining with the same crimson glow as his.

"Then we will give them war," Wei Tianyang said again.

Immediately, he pulled the trigger, and the AK47 sprayed its fury into the sky.

The guerrillas also raised their weapons to the sky, pulling their triggers together.

The deserted, abandoned park was suddenly filled with the sound of gunfire.

"Let’s engage in battle once more! Liberate our motherland again!!!"

Du Yan roared loudly, rallying all the guerrillas.

At this moment, Wei Tianyang could feel that they were one with him, that military force was like his own left arm and right arm.

In the desolate artificial forest, sparrows and blackbirds took flight, and the sound of guns carried by the cold wind towards Linjiang...

Just as Wei Tianyang left for Linjiang City, Guo Kaichen had already crossed the artificial forest and arrived at the black hotel.

He stood beside the dried-up fountain, surveying the desolate building in front of him.

If judged only from the outside, the hotel did seem grand, but it was also a ruin, giving off the first impression of being neglected and long abandoned.

Moreover, from the moment he stepped into the artificial forest, his phone had been vibrating incessantly.

They were messages, all containing just one line: "Get out immediately."

"Wei Tianyang! Come out here!" Guo Kaichen bellowed at the somber exterior wall of the building.

No one responded.

"Wei Tianyang!!! Do you think after what you’ve done! No one can punish you?!" Guo Kaichen yelled again.

Still, there was no reply.

"Damn it?" Guo Kaichen could even hear his echo, he moved closer, looked up at the five-story wreck, and shouted angrily, "Wei Tianyang! Li Songyan can’t protect you!!"

His fury burning, he cared no longer, and he rushed straight toward the opened black front doors, kicking them in.

With a loud bang, the decayed and broken doors fell to the ground, a plume of dust was stirred up by the chilly air, swirling in mid-air, hitting him full in the face.

Guo Kaichen was startled. Could someone really be staying in a place like this?

Instinctively, he pulled a short-barreled automatic pistol from his chest, arm folded in front of his chest, the left hand protecting the gun body, he sidestepped warily into the decrepit hotel.

Looking in from the main entrance, the hotel’s front desk was deserted, the floor covered in dust, and the crystal chandelier above had turned into a wooden frame, swaying in the cold wind.

Guo Kaichen walked inside, reaching the first floor’s corridor which was a complete mess; garbage littered the floor, and each room was devoid of doors, their furniture smashed to pieces.

He made his way to the end and started up the stairs, only to find various sofas and chairs piled up in the middle of the second floor stairway, blocking the path upstairs.

Guo Kaichen did a quick check, lightly dusting a sofa, and his hand came away covered in dust.

No one’s here...

He immediately made his judgment.

But what about the message on his phone?

He was utterly baffled and took another corridor upstairs; though he successfully reached the second floor, the scene was no different from the first.

All garbage... void of people; this hotel was nothing but ruins.

Maybe there’s a bunker? Maybe a secret door?

Unwilling to give up, he continued his aimless search in the desolate building but still found nothing.

Bored, he walked out of the hotel and stood once more by the dried-up fountain, surveying the abandoned structure.

Curiosity had diluted his fury; once calmed, he thought of two options.

Either explore the objective reality, or... set fire to this ruin...

Guo Kaichen chose the latter.

His eyes had just lit up when a black SUV emerged from the trees.

He watched as it drove to his rear, stopping on the opposite side of the fountain. Then, the doors opened, and two bodyguards escorted a Yin man dressed in a white suit out of the car.

"Lost, buddy?" Moby Dick said with a smile as he approached Guo Kaichen.

"You’re that Moby Dick from Red Pharmaceutical?" Guo Kaichen said.

"You know me?" Moby Dick smiled.

"Years ago, you sexually assaulted a colleague at your company; I saw the news," Guo Kaichen replied with a smile.

Moby Dick answered with a smile, not saying a word, and glanced back at his bodyguards.

"You’ve got the wrong place, kid," Moby Dick said.

"Then what are you doing here? What’s your relationship with this hotel?" Guo Kaichen countered.

"I’m here to invest. This is a nice spot. Once the civil war is over, I’ll build a luxury apartment complex here," Moby Dick said with a laugh.

Guo Kaichen had nothing to say.

"Whoever you are, this place isn’t for you. I ask you to leave in the name of its future owner," Moby Dick said.

Guo Kaichen chuckled, looked back at the hotel, and said, "Then, I wish you well, don’t lose money. After all, no one buys houses built on graves."

With that, Guo Kaichen left.

Watching him slowly walk out of the artificial forest, Moby Dick waited a long time before receiving a call from Yaha.

"Has he gone? Our illusionists are bleeding from their noses," Yaha said.

"What kind of trouble have you all stirred up now? Does the whole Chicken Snake Country know you’re holed up here?" Moby Dick raged.

"This place isn’t exactly secret, and keeping us undisturbed is your job," Yaha responded.

"Make me a cup of coffee; I need to discuss business with you!" Moby Dick said.

"We don’t have that kind of coffee; all we have is concentrated brew ground from Yunzhou beans," Yaha answered.

"Damn it... Fine, that’ll do," Moby Dick hung up the phone.

Before his eyes, the abandoned five-story hotel instantly transformed back into its original form as the Pei Guode Hotel.
