I Am Extraordinary Alone -
Chapter 522 - 520: Interview
Chapter 522: Chapter 520: Interview
April 4, 2121.
Time passed like a white horse fleeting by, and suddenly, the weather became scorching hot again.
The world of mankind seemed to be thrown into a crucible, being burnt and boiled relentlessly day and night. Despite the seasonal cycle dictating a cool spring, the temperature during the day in Heisai State had risen to 52°C.
Many governments of small countries in Hei Province had to issue decrees to stop all outdoor work during the day, and some schools without air-conditioning in the classrooms were also suspended.
In reality, these measures were of little substantial significance. Aside from some wealthy cities in Etolia, citizens of other Sheikhdoms were impoverished. Many families were still using candles; during the sweltering heat, the most readily available and cost-free method of cooling down was to jump into rivers and lakes.
Guests at the Pei Guode Hotel had none of these worries. The year-round operation of the central air conditioning maintained an indoor temperature of 22°C, which was perfect for dignitaries in sharp suits to not feel hot, and for ladies in sexy dresses to not feel cold.
It was 2 p.m., just after lunch, when Wei Tianyang came to a vacant room on the 28th floor, sitting by the window, bathed in sunlight.
Cha Na stood by his side, silent. For the past six months, Wei Tianyang had been training him.
Starbucks had reported that Cha Na had been secretly inciting children to run away, but Wei Tianyang didn’t care.
Now, Cha Na was completely subdued by his violence.
Wei Tianyang hoped he would understand that stopping human warfare was impractical, and killing a few soldiers wouldn’t end wars.
"They’ll be here soon; then you’ll understand why I didn’t help you as you wished," Wei Tianyang said.
Cha Na, without uttering a word, glanced sideways at Wei Tianyang.
Today, several potential clans had received his permission to visit.
Among them were the current President, seeking a powerful backing, and opposing factions of the current regime, seeking help to gain control of power.
They were all from small countries in the East Continent, surrounding Yin Country, including the President of Chicken Snake Country.
Wei Tianyang switched his sitting position, crossed his legs, and confirmed the hospital situation with Quigui Ge on his phone. The experiment had been going on for six months, and it was time for a periodic report.
Footsteps echoed through the corridor, and after a while, through the see-through wall, Wei Tianyang saw Starbucks leading eight men and women to the door; she knocked.
"Come in," Wei Tianyang said.
Starbucks opened the door, let the few dignitaries from the small countries in, then closed the door behind them.
There was no tea served, no coffee, just eight wooden chairs facing Wei Tianyang.
This was not so much a meeting as it was an interview.
"Sit down, let’s sit quickly, let us skip the meaningless pleasantries," Wei Tianyang said.
All eight guests, dressed in modest suits, although Wei Tianyang’s hospitality was somewhat miserly and ruthless, took their seats with smiles on their faces without complaints.
Wei Tianyang observed them, two political strongwomen, one just over 40 and another just past 60. The six male guests were generally over 60. They were all people of the East Continent, similar in appearance to Yin Country people but with some differences.
He clearly heard all their inner thoughts; they came with their agendas. Now in power, several country presidents wanted to dominate the world, unite the forces of small countries in the East Continent, and with his help, wanted to exterminate all Caucasians, Black people, and ethnic minorities to establish a world government led by East Continent people.
"I don’t quite agree with those ideas of yours," Wei Tianyang said.
These small country presidents obviously lacked sufficient intel on him and could not compare with people like Helena Mina and Steijie, so they knew very little about his capabilities, having only a general understanding, not knowing their inner thoughts were being heard by him.
"I am the President of Chicken Snake Country, Shu Mingxue. I regret what happened to you in our country in your early years," the female president said, mustering courage.
"Don’t try to get cozy with me," Wei Tianyang said.
The female president opened her mouth, not knowing what else to say.
At that moment, the male president sitting next to her said, "We are prepared to build an Eastern alliance to break the Western monopoly on technology and military! People from East State have been subjected to Western cultural invasion and military bullying for a long time. They have deployed spies to undermine our governments, cultivated compradors in our nation, stationed military forces in some East Continent countries, and controlled a large amount of media... We want to use your strength to drive them out of our lands!"
Wei Tianyang listened carefully, thought for a moment, and then fell silent.
After several minutes of silence, he kept staring at the floor.
Cha Na stood beside him, feeling a bit awkward as well, and turned her head to look at him.
"So... have you found the answer?" Wei Tianyang suddenly asked.
The eight Presidents had waited for a long time to hear him speak and suddenly raised their heads to look at him.
"What?" the female President of Chicken Snake Country couldn’t help but ask.
Wei Tianyang ignored her and looked at Cha Na.
Cha Na wore headphones and understood what these people were saying; he had heard their demands and understood the meaning of war.
"What you want is unrealistic," Wei Tianyang said.
"Our demands are correct, East State has been greatly oppressed by the West for a long time. The West has engaged in economic penetration and technological blockade, demanding us to take on low-value, labor-intensive industries that they don’t want, they do not allow us to develop heavy industry, nor allow us to research advanced technology. Chicken Snake Country had those opportunities back then... But Western-trained compradors initiated the color revolution, breaking our national fortune! Why do you think our demands are unrealistic? Should the people of East State be eternally trapped in factories?" the female President of Chicken Snake Country was somewhat agitated.
Wei Tianyang did not deny that the female President was speaking with genuine emotion, but what she really wanted far exceeded her rhetoric.
"There are... now 10 billion people on Earth," Wei Tianyang slowly said.
"10 billion people, yes, last year’s population statistics, the global population was 10.12 billion," the female President nodded.
"You want me to fly over there and kill half the population to solve your problem," Wei Tianyang said.
"We’ve been bullied; when bullied, you must fight back, what’s wrong with that?" the female President asked.
Wei Tianyang nodded, saying, "That’s not wrong, but you need to consider my demands."
Hearing this, the female President felt there was room to negotiate, glanced at the other Presidents, and quickly said, "We are not pursuing genocide, just need you to suppress them, to lower the Western countries below us! We want their technology, their advanced goods, you make them give it all to us and then restrict their development! We could build a world order centered around East State!"
"Do you have anything... that you can share?" Wei Tianyang countered.
A simple question, yet it rendered the eight Presidents of the small East State countries speechless.
What did they have? Cheap labor, drugs, girls that could be sold easily, agricultural products...
Wei Tianyang sighed, even though they were so backward, there were still plenty of family factions within their territories vying for territory, and those people were living the high life.
Government? The governments of these small countries were propped up by families; without these families, they were nothing.
And what did these families have? Could they still hope to possess advanced productive forces, advanced ideas, to lead the country through complex geopolitics and seek development?
No, they were mere local tyrants, only concerned with their own food and drink, only with their own enjoyment, with the common people in their country being nothing in their eyes; males were labor resources, females were sexual resources. Why would they need high technology? With eight beauties fanning oneself, why would one need to build an air conditioner?
Now, these families had pushed forward puppet Presidents to Wei Tianyang, not seeking protection, but even grander delusions.
They wanted their flawed small countries, with his support, to suddenly soar high.
Where in the world was there such a good thing?
Of course, Wei Tianyang also possessed such capabilities, but the other side must be worthy of such elevation.
Clearly, these East State small countries were not worthy.
Wei Tianyang looked at Cha Na and said, "Clear now? What’s the use of killing soldiers? Killing all the people opposite, your country will still plunge into war, because the people initiating war are of this character."
Cha Na nodded, sunk in utter despair.
Wei Tianyang then looked at those Presidents, his eyes reddened, and a laser shot forth as his gaze swept across the heads of those Presidents.
Thud, thud, thud...
Eight heads fell to the ground, blood spurting from the necks like a summer fountain.
