I Am Extraordinary Alone -
Chapter 519 - 517: Revenge
Chapter 519: Chapter 517: Revenge
The group of poor people with extra limbs boarded the military vehicles under the organization of the military police.
Wei Tianyang stood by the roadside when the mayor of Felda City approached him for a chat.
Normally, getting a meeting with Wei Tianyang was as hard as reaching the heavens, let alone having a chat. When the mayor heard of his presence, he pushed aside all his affairs and drove here personally.
"I’ve arranged six trucks, enough to fit everyone. According to your instructions, it shouldn’t take less than half an hour to get them out of the city," said the mayor in a low voice.
Wei Tianyang didn’t speak, and Quigui Ge spoke for him, "After these people are taken away, burn this slum to the ground."
"I’ll have someone start the fire tonight," the mayor nodded.
"What about the remaining people in the slum? How do you plan to deal with them?" Quigui Ge asked.
The mayor’s expression turned stern as he replied, "Lock them up and let them burn to death. What fire doesn’t kill a few people?"
Wei Tianyang got the answer he wanted and turned to walk towards the direction of the vehicle.
Quigui Ge nodded and said, "This piece of land will have a great use in the future, Mr. Mayor."
The mayor smiled and saw the two of them off.
Just as Wei Tianyang was about to open the car door, he heard a familiar voice—a distant voice from deep within his memories.
"Help me... one more time, Wei Tianyang."
Wei Tianyang stood by the car door, lost in thought; seeing him motionless, Quigui Ge didn’t disturb him but simply stood to the side and waited.
After a few seconds, Wei Tianyang opened his eyes and turned around to say, "Quigui Ge, I need to... leave for a while. After the group of experimental subjects is delivered to their destination, contact Yaha, she knows what to do."
Quigui Ge nodded.
Having said that, Wei Tianyang looked up at the sky and then, with a whoosh, flew into the high heavens.
He followed the voice to the dark side of the Earth, which was at the border between dawn and deep night in the South Border of Earth Sea.
Wei Tianyang left the sunlight behind him and plunged straight down toward the twinkling lights of the land below, passing over one city after another, large and small, until he reached a vast expanse of pitch-black wilderness.
The voice grew closer, and he saw a naked, bald figure curling up on the grass, their life’s fire gradually extinguishing.
He descended to the ground and came to the side of the person. Although the surroundings were dim and lightless, his eyes saw as clearly as if it were broad daylight.
Upon closer inspection, it was a woman in her twenties, with slender limbs, skin and bones, and her abdomen stitched with many sutures, as though she had undergone numerous dissections.
Looking at her sunken cheeks, Wei Tianyang felt a sense of familiarity. Suddenly, he remembered—wasn’t this Fujiwara Makoto?!
"Fujiwara Makoto? What are you doing here? I’ve been looking for you for a long time," Wei Tianyang said quietly as he lifted her.
Fujiwara Makoto opened her eyes groggily and whispered, "Ah... you really came... I... I..."
As she spoke, it seemed as though her strength had run out, and only a hissing sound came from her throat.
Wei Tianyang cradled her as he fled into objective reality, where all states came to a halt, for there was no concept of time here.
He held her as he flew back to the Pei Guode Hotel and laid her on his own bed.
Baphomet was not around, it had likely gone for a walk with Yaha, and even after regaining consciousness, Yaha hadn’t kicked the habit.
Wei Tianyang took out his phone to call Starbucks, had her arrange a new room, and then transferred the injuries of Fujiwara Makoto onto himself.
Just as he had anticipated, Fujiwara Makoto had been dissected and sliced open many times—the sensation of her abdomen being cut open, the feeling of her organs being removed, as well as the muscular atrophy from being submerged in nutrient solutions for years on end all assaulted him at once. Wei Tianyang felt this pain, and in just an instant, his body healed as before, but that anger lingered much longer.
Fujiwara Makoto had regained her spirit, but the atrophy of her muscles and the weakness of her body were not things that could recover in a short while.
"Brother Yang, what on earth happened? Why... even the Emperor’s refuge could be attacked? Where did you go after that?" Fujiwara Makoto had many questions and asked them all in one breath.
Wei Tianyang glanced at Zhao Ling under the TV and said, "The world has changed, look, the Emperor is right there."
Fujiwara Makoto turned to look at Zhao Ling and nearly screamed in shock. She couldn’t believe that the imposing woman now resembled a chrysalis...
"A lot has happened during this time. Zhao Ling mutated that night, and since then you haven’t had any protection. I don’t know who betrayed you or who abducted you. Can you tell me?" Wei Tianyang asked.
"To be honest, I don’t know either... I opened the door... and then I passed out. Had it not been for a strange dream, I would never have woken up. I’ve been in a deep coma for years, and my body... was researched by those people... I could feel parts of my body being taken away," Fujiwara Makoto replied.
As she spoke, her eyes reddened and she turned her face away.
Wei Tianyang didn’t comfort her but instead said, "Now is not the time for self-pity. Try to recall, who took you away, Caucasians or Asians?"
"I don’t remember, it’s been too long, and they were wearing masks. I suspect it was Hasegawa Pharmaceutical, but I’m not sure," Fujiwara Makoto said.
"It wasn’t Hasegawa’s people. I found you at the Earth Sea Border, Hasegawa Pharmaceutical doesn’t have the ability to do this anymore," Wei Tianyang said.
"I really have no idea, I was barely alive when I escaped. I saw a few researchers, they seemed to be of various nationalities," Fujiwara Makoto said.
Wei Tianyang rubbed his chin thoughtfully and then asked, "You managed to escape, so you must have seen the outside environment. What did their buildings look like? Was it a city or a wilderness that surrounded them?"
"It was a city. Their research facility was quite tall, two very high buildings with a wind turbine in between... and the city under the moonlight, it seemed very white, like the whole city was made of white buildings... I don’t think this helps much..." Fujiwara Makoto said.
"A city of white buildings, Casdia, White Mirror City," Wei Tianyang said.
"Are you sure? So specific...?" Fujiwara Makoto asked.
Wei Tianyang smiled. He had probed the memories of many people, who were either terrorists, presidents, or wealthy business figures, with their footprints scattered across the world.
"I know the place, it’s a beautiful city," Wei Tianyang said.
"The people who abducted me... if they’re really hiding there, can you help me get revenge?" Fujiwara Makoto asked.
Wei Tianyang smiled and said, "For other reasons, they won’t live much longer, and the whole city will have to accompany them in death."
He wasn’t joking. The power capable of capturing and studying Fujiwara Makoto was certainly no small fry, and there had to be an even larger protection umbrella behind it, something he could not allow to exist. Humanity needed to be united, and people like Spencer had to be eradicated.
Wei Tianyang opened the window, took a look at Fujiwara Makoto, and said, "I’ll be right back."
With that, he flew into the sky and disappeared into the clouds.
