I Am Extraordinary Alone -
Chapter 510 - 508: The White Colossus
Chapter 510: Chapter 508: The White Colossus
Several days later.
Baphomet finally started carrying Yaha out for a walk again.
As November approached, the weather turned cooler, with the average temperature dropping to 29°C.
Baphomet had just had a haircut yesterday and had undergone some maintenance, with some overgrown parts of its horns polished. Its entire body was sleek and shiny black. It had just enjoyed a large piece of baguette, and even persuaded Wei Tianyang to open the fridge to eat a few small egg tarts. Now was the perfect time to go out and digest.
Its little hooves tapped on the stone road, producing a pleasant sound. Yaha, seated on its back, held onto one of its horns with one hand and a tuft of its fur on the butt with the other hand, her big eyes surveying the street.
They had strolled down this road countless times; people on the streets recognized the Black Mountain Goat and the white-haired girl as if Baphomet itself had said, it was the mascot of Pei Guode and the superstar of this area. Everyone greeted it whenever they saw it. Sometimes they offered it food, sometimes they came to pet it, and sometimes they took photos together.
They also knew that Yaha had some intellectual disabilities, so they were aware that she was the property of the hotel owner; therefore, no one dared to touch her, at most they would just take a photo with her.
While walking, members of Quigui Ge would also provide protection without alarming them. This place was their territory, or rather, Etolia was Wei Tianyang’s garden. From the President to the beggars, no one would dare to provoke Baphomet and Yaha.
Baphomet had grown somewhat tired of the surrounding scenery, and even the food from street-side shops had become monotonous, especially now with baguette and rye bread to eat, it had become even pickier about food.
Along the way, it had seen the free food distribution point for the poor that Wei Tianyang had arranged through Rada Gan. A bunch of smelly beggars and poor people in tattered clothes were taking food from the stalls with their dirty plastic bags.
According to it, it was an absolute waste. The living food supplies, which in other Chapters were foods that only the powerful deserved, were now just items Wei Tianyang darkly indulged it with. However, Wei Tianyang was distributing it to humans for free just to understand its effects—a sheer waste!
Fortunately, the reproduction rate of the baguette and rye bread far exceeded their consumption rate. Except for maintaining the shape of a black giant, Wei Tianyang wouldn’t be able to consume even one-billionth of these two items in a year.
"I say, you are unaware of the blessings you live in, what a pity."
Baphomet, whenever bored, would chat with Yaha like this. Calling it a conversation was actually a one-sided transmission of sound, showing off and making frivolous remarks.
"If you had normal intelligence, you could be living a divine life now~ The Horned One is the master of this Chapter. Many people wish to board his ship, yet only you and I can stay by his side."
"Oh, right, there’s also that blonde-haired butler and the mature lady with a walking stick. But unfortunately, the blonde-haired butler has to help him handle business, staying very busy, which is quite tough. And that mature lady with a walking stick... tsk tsk tsk~ I wouldn’t want to end up like her."
"Ah, if I had a human body, I’d probably enjoy more than I do now. But perhaps, then I’d have to be ordered around by the Horned One, which isn’t so joyful either. It’s better to be a goat."
"You’re somewhat pitiful, with a perfectly fine body and good looks among the residents of this Chapter. Yet, you have a less-than-great brain... tsk tsk tsk... His feelings for you are obviously different from others. I think, in his heart, you are more significant than that mature lady with a walking stick, only slightly less than his mother."
"I also can’t figure out why he values you so much when you haven’t spent that much time together, and he hasn’t even touched you. Really baffling."
"Ah, if only your brain was a bit more normal, you would probably have a more comfortable life than I have. But instead, you can only ride me out for walks every day, then go back to watch TV, eat, and sleep, unable to touch anything fun."
"I’m only a goat, I’m not interested in human entertainment, but whenever I have nothing better to do, I peek into the thoughts of the hotel guests to see how they play. You could actually play like that too, but unfortunately, your brain isn’t great. You are about the same age as the mature lady with a walking stick, yet you’re still like a child."
"Ah~ what a pity, what a pity... Wait a second..."
As Baphomet was rambling leisurely, the scenery on the street suddenly turned gray, and the sky became a negative film-like gray-blue.
Where is this?
Baphomet instantly became alert and tried to transmit a message to Wei Tianyang.
However, terrifyingly, it found that it couldn’t move at all, and Yaha on its back felt as light as a sheet of paper.
This isn’t objective reality.
The Black Mountain Goat tried to move its eyes but discovered that it couldn’t even control its eyeballs.
"Damn, time has stopped flowing... My consciousness is at a higher level than my body, allowing me to remain conscious."
Baphomet understood in an instant. The passing and change of things is a stable element in the grand narrative. Only higher beings capable of controlling this force locally are impressive. Could it be that beings from beyond the stars have come knocking?
If that were the case, there was no need to worry. Those with long horns could not be controlled by such power; their body and mind had transcended the concept of time. It was only his own human obsessions that he clung to, maintaining a human form.
But it was also possible... he might end up perishing here.
"Hey! Who’s there? State your name!" Baphomet telepathically projected his voice, hoping that the newcomer would sense it.
"This place has an owner! If you want to join, state your name! If you’re here to cause trouble... you’ve picked the wrong target!"
Baphomet continued to telepathically project his voice while probing the thoughts of those around him.
At this moment, the ground slightly trembled, and his statue-like body also shook; a white leg appeared in his field of vision on the street ahead.
Unable to lift his head, he couldn’t see the full stature of the creature, but he was certain it was huge, possibly as large as the Black Mountain Goat after transforming, because just the lower part of the leg was already taller than the surrounding apartment buildings.
The leg turned at an angle, and another foot landed on the ground, stepping towards Baphomet.
The pair of feet together had only eight toes but had human-like knees and ankles. Baphomet was truly afraid the creature might crush him and Yaha with a single stomp.
However, it was clear the giant didn’t intend to cause destruction; its steps avoided the people and cars on the street.
When it reached Baphomet, the enormous big toe stopped about 20 meters in front of him, and the vast foot made the wide street feel rather cramped.
The giant bent over, and an oval face smooth as a goose egg appeared before him.
The creature’s physique was somewhat like a human’s, with slight differences in the details; it had no reproductive organs, and its body was as smooth as white marble. The entire face was about half the size of the Pei Guode Hotel, with four vertically-aligned diamond-shaped red eyes on the left and three on the right, no mouth or nose. It curiously looked at Baphomet, as though recognizing that this goat, like itself, came from the stars.
"Hey! Have you come to pledge yourself to Him?" Baphomet telepathically communicated.
"How strange," the creature telepathically replied.
"What’s so strange?! I’m just like you, only in a different body!" Baphomet telepathically responded.
"I’m not talking about you," the giant said.
It reached out to touch Yaha, its seven eyeballs chaotically rotating in their sockets.
"What are you doing?! If you harm her... the Black Mountain Goat will not let you off!" Baphomet urgently telepathically communicated.
However, after a short while, the white giant withdrew its hand, anxiously exclaiming, "So terrifying... oh my! Truly terrifying! Very frightening!"
"What are you blabbering about?!" Baphomet angrily said.
But the next second, the white giant disappeared, and the street returned to normal, the noisy sounds of the market once again reaching his ears. Baphomet jumped up, startling Yaha.
"That thing was no ordinary being! That thing... if it were hostile... No, I must inform the Black Mountain Goat!" Baphomet was shaken.
Just then, a hand touched his cheek and then stroked down his neck through the fur.
It was Yaha.
Baphomet felt comfortable, but also found it strange; this wasn’t Yaha’s usual way of touching.
"Talking sheep, let’s go back. Take me to Yishenmali," Yaha suddenly said.
"Eh?! You spoke!!" Baphomet exclaimed, turning to look at Yaha on his back.
"I feel like... I had a very long dream," Yaha said with a smile.
That smile was brighter than the summer sun.
