I Am Extraordinary Alone
Chapter 391 - 389: Survivors

Chapter 391: Chapter 389: Survivors

Wei Tianyang broke free from his restraints, seized Lilith’s long horns, and flew into the sky with her, pummeling her cheek with punch after punch.

After more than a dozen punches, his right hand started to melt instead.

Lilith pushed him slightly, and the scenery around them turned into white lines. When he came to his senses, he was basking in the sunlight, watching a passenger jet slowly approaching from afar.

Lilith closed in instantly, her scorching body releasing a high temperature capable of annihilating the heavens and the earth. At the same time, the tentacles on her back whipped flames at him like sharp whips.

Wei Tianyang stretched out his hand, grabbed the passenger jet, and hurled it towards Lilith like a missile. The plane caught fire and exploded before it could collide with Lilith. The black debris, along with the flesh and blood of everyone on board, struck her body, but she remained unmoved.

In the blink of an eye, Lilith was upon Wei Tianyang again, punching him and sending him plummeting to the ground. From a height of 3,000 meters, the spot where Wei Tianyang fell looked like a meteorite strike, leaving a deep crater.

Wei Tianyang climbed up from the ground, the sound of a train’s whistle ringing in his ears. The locomotive collided with him, sparking off the rails, causing train cars to flip and crash against the tunnel walls.

Overturned train cars lay scattered across the grassland, with many injured passengers slowly crawling out, bloodied and battered.

Just then, Lilith descended from the sky, and the people began to spontaneously combust, setting the train cars ablaze.

The railway trembled, and the train cars burst into flames. A great number of glowing red metal bars flew towards Lilith, wrapping around her tightly.

Wei Tianyang rushed forward, his fists encased in mud and sand, punching Lilith a kilometer away. He flew into the sky, aimed another fierce punch at the midair Lilith, as the mud and metal bars crumbled into annihilation. Lilith spat out blood, her eyes flashing red as she shot well-known rays at him.

Wei Tianyang’s right chest was penetrated, his entire arm torn apart, but he didn’t care. He closed in on Lilith, grabbed the horn on her forehead with his left hand, opened his mouth wide, and bit into her cheek.

The two plummeted from the sky, and once again they were back over Heisai State. The midday desert looked as if a meteorite had fallen, with a thunderous roar and dust filling the sky.

Wei Tianyang swung his left fist, beating on Lilith’s body, inflicting wounds on the land as well.

The desert couldn’t withstand their weight, and both of them were plunged several hundred meters underground. Suddenly, spikes emerged from the ground, lifting Lilith back to the surface, her skin’s flames now extinguished, her face partially bitten away by Wei Tianyang, half her body shattered.

But she was still alive. Even with her thighs and torso pierced, she still lived. She flew upwards, intending to flee. Wei Tianyang’s body regenerated, and he shot up after her, grasping her ankle with his right hand.

A giant spike sprouted from the ground. Wei Tianyang held Lilith’s shoulder with his left hand and her thigh with his right, impaling her on the spike. Then, clenching his fists, he brutally pounded the remains, creating sonic booms across the desert. Lilith’s thigh and half her torso shattered and flew off, scattering across the sandy surface.

He grabbed hold of Lilith’s head with both hands, tearing it open to reveal her brain, which seemed like freshly peeled lychees.

Lilith’s body suddenly dove down, burrowing into the sand.

"Still not dead," Wei Tianyang said, scanning the ground, using the sand to sense Lilith’s position.

After a few seconds of searching, his expression hardened, and he dived underground. The sand gave way, and he flew as if in flight, quickly catching up to the recently regenerated Lilith.

She had become weaker and was already planning to escape, but Wei Tianyang would not give her the chance. He was determined to kill her today and would not allow her to flee.

Wei Tianyang pinned her down, hammering down with his fists, causing an earthquake throughout the entire desert. From high above, a section of the desert began to sink as if a hollow had formed beneath.

With each punch, Wei Tianyang hammered at Lilith’s head, which was already mostly destroyed, one eye burst. Although she tried to regenerate constantly, as soon as she took shape, the fists turned her back into mush.

The power of the fists and the annihilating effect also consumed the surrounding sand as they sunk deeper and deeper, and the pressure and temperature around them rose higher and higher until, at last, Wei Tianyang touched a hard surface.

Another punch, and the hard surface also broke. He continued to sink deeper with Lilith.

Surroundings became foreign, as if they had arrived on an alien planet. Fossils of various unidentifiable creatures appeared in the surrounding rocks, some massive, some minuscule.

The temperature rose further, and the color of the surrounding rocks transitioned to a deep red in the middle; he could feel a large mass of fire burning below, accompanied by terrifying sounds.

Wei Tianyang pressed Lilith into the rocks, and a burst of fire shot out from the crack, followed by a surging flow of magma. The high temperature of this magma surprised him, quickly engulfing his legs.

Lilith was burnt to the point where only her upper body remained; she was embedded in the rock layer, mouth agape, her horns broken, half of her face submerged in the magma. Wei Tianyang summoned stones to bury her, sealing her forever in this terrifying underground place.

Then, he shot upward as if mad, and despite his speed, it took nearly half an hour to reach the surface.

Wei Tianyang’s body was restored, iron-gray all over, with a single horn on his forehead. He fell to the ground with a thud, took a deep breath, and looked back at the desert hole that was gradually being filled, his body still shaking.

Was Lilith dead?

He used sand and rocks again to confirm; only a small part of Lilith’s body remained. That hellish depth was the outer layer of the Earth’s core, beneath the mantle.

That was the core of the planet; not even Lilith could withstand the Earth’s body temperature.

Conventional methods simply couldn’t kill something that fell from the sky...

Even he had fought from Heisai State to East Continent, then to West Soil, and then to the desert above Heisai State.

If Baphomet, at its peak, were half as powerful as Lilith, he could not have easily won.

As for the ability to transfer wounds?

He tried it en route, and like silence, it was ineffective.

Perhaps, it was the difference in energy levels between species that caused the inability, annihilation was the same.

Wei Tianyang looked up at the sky; the blue sky seemed so harmless, but he knew, things like Lilith were everywhere throughout the universe...

At this moment, a strange feeling surged in his heart; fear? Excitement? The joy of a narrow escape from death? Or a sensation similar to a climax?

It seemed... all of them.

Battle...

No, this wasn’t battle.

This was a desperate struggle for survival between species, using all their might.

For the first time, he no longer considered more, didn’t hold back, wasn’t bound by any rules or laws.

He used whatever he could, the only goal was to kill the opponent.

He struck with all his might, and the opponent could actually withstand it.

This pleasure, this passion for unleashing power, and the joy of surviving a fight with an equal opponent...

All converged into a wonderful experience.

Memories of fighting with a strong opponent, transcending the feeling of death.

The corners of his mouth curved slightly upward; he continued to exist, while Lilith ceased to exist. That was, the greater meaning.
