I Am Extraordinary Alone -
Chapter 252 - 250: Seppuku
Chapter 252: Chapter 250: Seppuku
Wei Tianyang extracted himself from the memory, his consciousness returning to his body. The long journey of memory exploration had not wasted any time in the real world; it seemed as though only a moment had passed.
Hasegawa Chiharu still hadn’t given up. She clung firmly to Fujiwara Makoto’s wrist, her voice soft, "Come with me, Makoto, I’ll give you a new life."
"You bitch... let go of me! You just want to use me for your experiments!" Makoto cursed.
"Chiharu!" Wei Tianyang shouted.
Hasegawa Chiharu turned around, her anger directed at Wei Tianyang, "You don’t understand! She’s been deceiving you all along! You have no idea how much I’ve sacrificed for her!"
Wei Tianyang shook his head, "Chiharu, the Lingxian Sect won’t give you what you want."
He had said similar things to Yaha before.
"You..." Chiharu looked at Wei Tianyang’s slightly reddened eyes, a look of surprise forming on her face.
"That organization wants to restore the feudal era; they only want your technology, they just want to plunder all the Black Medicine in the world," Wei Tianyang said.
"I don’t believe it..." Chiharu trembled.
"Do you know why con artists always get away with it? Because they know what you want, but you don’t know what they want," Wei Tianyang said.
"On what grounds do you call them con artists...? Have you seen them?! You’re just a soldier, what do you know about the noble goals of the Lingxian Sect?" Chiharu retorted.
Wei Tianyang scoffed, "If some goals require killing to achieve, chances are they aren’t good. They’ve harvested so many spines, how many have died? What they want is just superpowers, and the purpose of controlling those superpowers is merely to safeguard their future feudal empire."
"Some causes require sacrifices..." Chiharu said.
"Easy for you to say when it’s not you dying on the operating table," Wei Tianyang replied.
"What do you know... How did you suddenly come to know so much?" Chiharu asked, puzzled.
"I see your true nature now, Chiharu. You are a woman with a gentle exterior, but a perilous heart," he said.
"And what right do you have to judge me? How many have you killed since we met?" Chiharu said.
"I killed even more before I met you. Our hands are long past being clean. The difference is, I kill with superpowers and bullets, you kill with medicine and scalpels... People like us will face retribution, I have come to terms with that, have you?" Wei Tianyang said.
"I’m not like you! I am working to eradicate death for humanity... Their deaths are for the immortality of many more! What about you? What is your killing for?!" Chiharu argued.
"For justice," Wei Tianyang said.
"Just... justice?! What are you talking about?!" Chiharu said.
"This world is messed up, but there are some people who are trying hard to make it a little better... yet, there’s another group of people... who want to take those people down. Me... at that moment, I come forward and act against that group," Wei Tianyang said with a smile.
Chiharu was becoming scared. She watched as Wei Tianyang slowly approached, the confined trailer room felt like a cage.
"I saved you before because I thought you were a good person, at least an innocent one in this hellish place... but now it seems you are intricately linked with everything happening here," Wei Tianyang said.
"Are you going to kill me here?" Chiharu trembled.
"Are you afraid of death? What did you feel when you watched those on the operating table pass away?" Wei Tianyang asked.
"Don’t kill me... You don’t know how important I am to humanity! My research... it can truly change the fate of humankind!" Chiharu pleaded.
Wei Tianyang had already walked up to Chiharu, he held her face in his hands, his voice serious,
"I will not kill you, it’s not my place to decide. But what I can tell you is... I can see the dead, I know what they are, and that state, it’s not living."
Having said that, he took off the meme inhibition mask from Chiharu’s face.
Fujiwara Makoto’s spiritual power instantly flooded into Chiharu’s body.
Wei Tianyang watched Chiharu’s eyes, and in a moment, there was a change in her expression.
"Thank you, Ishmael," Makoto spoke through Chiharu’s mouth.
"What will you do?" Wei Tianyang asked.
Makoto didn’t respond. On the bed, her real body shrunk into a corner, deeply asleep, while she, possessing Chiharu’s body, picked up a kitchen knife from the table and stepped out of the trailer.
Wei Tianyang followed, watching as Chiharu reached the open space outside the house. She took off her jacket and unbuttoned her shirt.
"I’m going to make this bitch suffer to death!" Makoto roared through Chiharu’s mouth.
With that, Makoto unwound the bandage wrapped around Chiharu’s upper abdomen, pulled off the hemostatic cloth, and stabbed the knife into the wound.
She grunted, enduring the severe pain, cruelly twisted the knife around, and sliced downward, cutting from the stomach area all the way to the liver.
On Chiharu’s beautiful ketone body, a bloody gash shockingly appeared.
However, it wasn’t over yet. Makoto knelt down on the ground in pain, but like a warrior from Churi Country, she pulled the knife horizontally, from the liver across the belly button, to the location of the pancreas.
The sound of flesh tearing and organs spilling was both brutal and exquisite. Makoto, utilizing Hasegawa Chiharu’s mature voice, moaned unrestrained.
Wei Tianyang watched her trembling figure. The mud beneath her knees had already pooled with a small puddle of blood. With such injuries, she would die from excessive blood loss within minutes.
Makoto’s right hand held the knife, and her left hand reached into the abdominal cavity. Then she abruptly withdrew her consciousness from the body.
Chiharu came to, feeling weak and powerless, her abdomen in excruciating pain. Looking down, she realized her right hand was holding a blood-drenched knife, and, terrified, she couldn’t even muster the energy to scream.
She collapsed sideways onto the ground, dropping the knife, and lay there on her back, pitifully looking up at Wei Tianyang.
"Save... me... please... save me..." Chiharu pleaded.
"Perhaps, you should have died this afternoon," Wei Tianyang said.
He left Chiharu there and turned back into the trailer.
Makoto, like a broken rag doll, curled up at the foot of the bed, her head shaved to facilitate experiments. But those big eyes and mournful expression left a deep impression on Wei Tianyang.
He remembered the little girl who lived next door to Uncle Liu back when he still lived in the slums of Chicken Snake Country.
If that little girl had grown up, she probably would have been just as beautiful.
"Now... what are you going to do?" Makoto looked at Wei Tianyang, fear showing in her eyes.
"You lied to me before," Wei Tianyang said.
"I... I need to protect myself, I need revenge, I had no other choice," Makoto shook her head.
"Why didn’t you control me then?" Wei Tianyang asked.
"I tried... but I couldn’t control you," Makoto said helplessly.
"What exactly is your ability? You forged call logs and messages to deceive me, and you even imitated the voice of someone I know," Wei Tianyang said.
"That was... created with Magic Power, they call that ability Illusion Creation, but I don’t care what it’s called. Besides that, I also have the power of mind control... you’ve already seen it," Makoto confessed.
"That ability could be a lot of fun for you, you’re dangerous," Wei Tianyang said.
"You too... are dangerous... When I tried to enter your mind, I saw thousands of Shadows... I heard countless people wailing... You seemed like a walking Hell..." Makoto shook her head.
"Now it’s just you and me. I can relate to your situation, I won’t kill you, but leaving you here won’t end well," Wei Tianyang said.
"I... I have nowhere to go..." Makoto lowered her head.
"That’s what I wanted to say. The person I know, she can make some arrangements, but I need to contact her first. You can lift the satellite signal blockade, right?" Wei Tianyang said.
Makoto laughed and said, "No, I didn’t blockade it, I’m not capable of that..."
Wei Tianyang’s expression turned stern.
"From the start... the signal in this city was blocked by their own government. I guess... they must have found me through you by now..." Makoto said helplessly.
