I Am Extraordinary Alone
Chapter 115 - 114: The Collapsing Mountain

Chapter 115: Chapter 114: The Collapsing Mountain

Afternoon, Linjiang City, Leader’s Residence.

After the sniper pulled the trigger, Kongse’s task force immediately launched the military operation against the Black House as planned. Li Fei had been sitting in front of her vanity, contacting Du Yan through the mirror to get real-time intelligence.

She knew Wei Tianyang had left the Black House with Yaha, therefore, creating a perfect timing difference.

However, within just a few short minutes, she lost contact with the military. She quickly whispered, "Mom! What’s happened there?"

A layer of mist formed on the mirror’s surface, then three words emerged: "He has come."

Her right fist slammed down onto the desktop with force, and she pulled out her cell phone to give an emergency order to her defense minister, commanding Linjiang City to enter into martial law.

She had intended to push Wei Tianyang, to help him break away from that organization, but the current situation was like Wei Tianyang had brushed off her hand.

This meant a complete rupture.

The army’s efficiency was high; within an hour, the roads of Linjiang City were emptied, stores closed, civilians gradually returned to their homes, and all commercial and production work stopped once again.

At the same time, the garrison had the Leader’s Residence completely surrounded, establishing an impregnable position of defense, bringing out the few heavy artillery pieces they had and the last four tanks, and four captured conservative fighter jets ready to take off from the suburban airstrips.

The actual combat personnel of the New Liberation Front army barely numbered over 60,000. After incorporating the surrendered conservative and radical forces, the newly formed Chicken Snake People’s Army scraped together just over 130,000, and an additional 40,000 were unlisted logistics personnel.

Out of these barely more than 130,000 combat forces, a large part had been injured or fallen ill during the civil war and lost their combat effectiveness, among them opportunists waiting to defect at any moment.

In Linjiang City, ready to be immediately thrown into battle, were her most elite over 10,000 Liberation Front soldiers, with another 30,000 en route to Linjiang upon receiving orders.

These were the only cards in Li Fei’s hand.

The Superpower Special Task Force could turn the tide of battle single-handedly, but the soldiers of the Chicken Snake Country had never faced such an enemy before; many had not even seen superpowers, which existed in the news and rumors, sometimes grossly exaggerated.

But it was only Li Fei who was extremely apprehensive; she knew full well what Wei Tianyang was capable of and understood that his emotions were not very stable... and she had also angered him.

In Li Fei’s hands was a thick stack of files, clearly written with the abilities of over 50 Black House members, provided by Moby Dick, but the section on Wei Tianyang contained only a few scanty lines.

Li Fei had seen his five-meter-long bone claws that could easily tear through anything. She also knew he could bring down a mountain, and was fully aware he could communicate with the dead.

Beyond that, everything was a mystery.

The documents revealed that Wei Tianyang could control rain, an ability from another Superpower Special Task Force member, implying that his powers could continue to grow.

Li Fei tried dialing Wei Tianyang’s number, but the call was met with a shutdown notice.

Anxiously, she could only call Moby Dick.

"Hello, beauty. I’ve seen the news already," Moby Dick was as flippant as ever, even somewhat gloating.

"I need more fire support, as well as satellite reconnaissance, fighter jet air support... damn it, just give me whatever you have," Li Fei said impatiently.

"You made your own bed, now lie in it," Moby Dick chuckled.

"Bullshit! Crippling the Black House leader was your idea! Now you want me to take all the responsibility?!" Li Fei roared.

"I just wanted you to get revenge on Yaha, but I didn’t tell you to send troops to attack the Black House," Moby Dick said with an air of indifference.

"You guys lifted the ban on the district where the Black House is located, doesn’t that mean you’ve already abandoned them?! Isn’t that the same as wanting to get rid of them?!" Li Fei argued.

"I opened the door but didn’t say ’please come in.’ That was your mistake, you didn’t handle the situation well... You should have killed them all cleanly, but you didn’t... You missed the most crucial one... Was it on purpose? Or what?" Moby Dick questioned.

Li Fei kept silent, she had never thought about killing Wei Tianyang, she wanted to possess him.

"Truth be told, I had high hopes for you, but as it turns out, he’s become a monster. You’re playing with fire, and now you’ve burned yourself to death—that’s the situation at the moment," Moby Dick spoke.

"It sounds like you’re taking this rather lightly, he will come for you too," Li Fei said.

"Come for me? He won’t know where I am~ I’ve been on my private plane for two hours now; I was in the terminal when your people pulled the trigger," Moby Dick laughed.

"Damn it... if I die, you Red Pharmaceutical won’t be able to get any more Medicine People here! The Heavenly Falling Objects hidden by Tiantai, I won’t give them to you either!" Li Fei shouted angrily.

"You know... whether it’s the Black House, or you... even Wei Tianyang, in my eyes, you’re all just disposable materials, used and then thrown away. You’re dead? The next person leading this country will still seek collaborations with pharmaceutical companies, without the Black House we can just create a Green House, a Blue House. I was the first to open this story and I will be its final reader too. And you, along with those pitiful and filthy rats, are just a part of the tragedy printed on cheap paper. Goodbye! You bitch!" Moby Dick ended the call with the most venomous words.

Li Fei, unable to contain her anger, threw her phone out the window.

At night, after setting up defenses, she returned to her vanity. The mirror reflected her haggard and fearful visage.

"Mom? Mom? Are you still there?" she called out.

On the mirror, a line of words emerged again: We will stop him, you better run.

Upon seeing this message, Li Fei frantically lunged at the mirror, crying out, "Don’t do this!! Run!! You guys run!!"

But the mirror gave no further response.

Six-faced God Mountain.

Wei Tianyang landed on the summit.

The old street market was no longer brightly lit but shrouded in darkness, it was evident the whole city was under curfew.

He paced at the summit, his right hand tightly gripping the "Liberator," his shadow large and bizarre under the moonlight. His black eyes glowed faintly with blood-red pupils.

He closed his eyes, feeling the soil beneath his feet as if countless sentient tendrils extended from his body, embracing the soft, solid mud and expelling every pebble within it.

After the battle of Linjiang City, Six-faced God Mountain shook once again, this time even more violently than before.

The mountain emitted terrifying sounds of destruction, the soil sucked dry, and the piled-up huge boulders inside loosened and fell, the black mud at his feet forming a platform that, defying physics, lifted him into mid-air; a third of the mountain peak floated up, and the boulders cascaded towards the city at the mountain’s base.

At the same time, the tremors at the peak were detected by the city’s defenders. In an instant, cannons and tanks fired shells towards the summit.

The city rumbled as the shells, trailing bright flames, flew towards the summit of Six-faced God Mountain, blasting the mountain’s side with mud and rocks flying.

But Wei Tianyang was unconcerned.

"This country doesn’t need you anymore!" Wei Tianyang declared solemnly.

He stood on the earth platform as if it were a surfboard, diving down with the rolling mud and rocks from the summit, leading a surge of black soil and boulders towards the Leader’s residence!
