I am chasing a rough man in the 80s -
Chapter 845 Pure and Genuine Smile
Chapter 845: Chapter 845 Pure and Genuine Smile
Throughout the entire journey, all I heard was Yu Jingting being all "bros" with someone.
"Little Queque, are you married yet?" Yu Jingting asked knowingly.
"No." Que Wuyu had already lost the will to engage with him but out of face, he couldn’t just not respond.
"Then as someone who’s been there, I must pass on some experience to you. Have you seen my wife?"
Yu Jingting patted Suizi.
At this moment, Suizi had already put her hat over her face, pretending to sleep.
She wanted no part in this grand crematorium scene!
Not getting a response from his wife did not stop Yu Jingting from performing his monologue.
"Want to know how I managed to chase down such a beautiful wife?"
"..." Not at all!
Que Wuyu had already started looking around, hoping to find a flight attendant to change his seat.
"If you don’t talk, I’ll take it as you do want to know. This love story begins when my wife was just ten years old. That year, she was sitting under a tree, gnawing on a steamed bun, and when I passed by, she looked at me with eyes full of deep affection."
Suizi, who was pretending to be asleep, really couldn’t listen anymore.
She took off the hat from her face and said to him indignantly:
"Nonsense! I was only ten at the time, how could I understand looking at someone with deep affection?!"
"Look, she’s getting shy now! Next, let me tell you about our first kiss..."
Suizi, unable to withstand his thick skin, stood up and headed to the Toilet.
Yu Jingting, this guy who hurts the enemy 200 and himself 250!
Is he trying to irritate Que Wuyu or himself?
From the corner of her eye, Suizi even noticed the woman sitting in the row behind them laughing continuously.
When she caught Suizi’s gaze, the woman in the back row nodded at her elegantly.
Yu Jingting’s "the affair I had with my wife" seemed to deeply interest the woman.
Suizi felt so embarrassed that her face was burning up, and she made a beeline for the Toilet.
Nevertheless, she took another couple of glances at the woman in the back row.
The woman’s temperament was quite unique.
She wore a snug white cheongsam with heavy embroidery done in white thread. Since she was sitting down, the patterns weren’t very clear.
She looked to be in her twenties, with lush black hair tied up high, which was especially long, extending down to her waist.
With a fair complexion, her small oval face featured thick eyebrows and large eyes, giving off a sense of gallantry when she looked at people, yet her smile was very amicable.
Suizi had seen many beautiful women, especially during her school years, when she encountered numerous well-read and elegant young ladies, but never had she met a woman with such a natural gallantry.
Though dressed femininely, at a glance, one could tell she was not a frail girl, making it easy to feel good about her.
Suizi even felt a sense of familiarity when the woman smiled at her.
To verify her hunch, Suizi even looked back.
Yu Jingting, beaming with great enthusiasm, contrasted sharply with the stoic face of Que Wuyu beside him.
Meanwhile, the woman in the back row, having become Yu Jingting’s involuntary "audience", looked quite joyful.
From Suizi’s angle, she could see the laughter of both Yu Jingting and the woman and suddenly realized that although the two didn’t look alike, their smiles gave off the same feeling.
Both had that bright and pure sunshine smile, as if even the darkest corners of the world could be illuminated by such a grin.
Suizi had amnesia some time ago, and after recovering her memory, she pondered when exactly she started falling for Yu Jingting. Eventually, she concluded that it might have been his smile that captivated her.
Suizi considered herself a somewhat melancholic girl. Growing up in an unhappy family and with an introverted nature not good at socializing, her world always seemed to be enveloped in a fine mist of rain.
The vibrant Yu Jingting, with his sunny smile, barged into her world, and suddenly, there were sunny days in her life.
This woman was the only person Suizi had seen who could smile with the same sunshine quality as Yu Jingting, and Suizi took another couple of looks.
After dawdling in the washroom and washing her face, Suizi estimated that Yu Jingting was probably done talking and finally emerged at a leisurely pace.
Upon returning to her seat and before she had even sat down, she heard Yu Jingting say:
"Next, I should talk about the day my wife gave birth. The sky was filled with auspicious clouds—"
"Ahem!" Suizi had no choice but to interrupt him. Was it really appropriate to boast about something like childbirth?!
"Jingting, I’m a bit cold, could you help me ask the flight attendant for a blanket?"
Tugging at her clothes, Suizi just hoped her shamelessly thick-skinned husband could stay quiet for a while.
Yu Jingting called out to the flight attendant and finally stopped his "Warm and Fuzzy Anecdotes with My Wife," much to Que Wuyu’s visibly relieved breath, who didn’t forget to throw a grateful glance at Suizi.
He felt he would go crazy if he had to listen any longer, tormented by the assault to his ears!
If he had known that choosing this seat would lead to an encounter with Yu Jingting, the scourge of the earth, he would have chosen to return a day later come hell or high water!
Suizi had thought her "spell" of interruption would quiet Yu Jingting for a while, but that was clearly far too naive.
Yu Jingting returned with the blanket, making exaggerated faces and winking at Suizi frantically.
"???" Suizi’s face was covered in question marks.
"Wife, are you worried about shocking the single gentleman beside us? Where did you get the idea that Little Queque is so petty? Does he look like the sort that would want to change his seat because he sees us being affectionate to each other?"
Originally intending to stand up and change seats—or rather stand in the Toilet until arrival if he couldn’t find another seat—Que Wuyu sat back down.
Suizi’s ears were sharp, and she heard a woman chuckling from the row behind them.
So, in a fit of resignation, she covered her head with the blanket, pretending she didn’t exist.
Yu Jingting’s big paw snuck in under the edge of the blanket, and he unashamedly added, "Sorry to have amused Little Queque there. My little woman here thinks too much. Now, where was I? Oh, giving birth... Let’s continue."
For Yu Jingting, who had the skin as thick as a city wall, the journey was blissful indeed.
Suizi had only one thought: Yu Jingting, can’t you be human for once?!
As for what Que Wuyu was thinking... it was all written on his face.
By the time the airplane landed, it was already past eleven in the evening.
Que Wuyu grabbed his luggage and hurried off the plane as fast as possible, fearing that if he were too slow, Yu Jingting would catch him and treat him to another episode of "My Wife and I’s Lovey-Dovey Tales."
Suizi had called Siye in advance, and Siye came to pick them up in the car. Just as Suizi and her husband got on, it started to rain.
"Stop for a moment!" Seeing the woman from the plane and two other women standing on the roadside, Suizi quickly told Siye to stop the car.
"Do you need a lift?" Suizi asked, rolling down the window.
The woman gave her a slight smile.
"Pretty lady, thank you."
The two flamboyant women behind her stood out as they spoke up for her: "Our car is coming soon."
Compared to the flashy duo, the woman in front dressed in a white cheongsam seemed more polite, bringing her hands together in a gesture of thanks to Suizi.
Suizi didn’t insist but handed out an umbrella from the car.
The flashy women looked at the woman in white and, seeing her nod, stepped forward to accept it.
"How much is it?" one of the flamboyant women asked.
Suizi waved her hand: "Meeting by chance is also fate, talking about money is crass."
The car drove away as the rain grew heavier.
The woman in the white cheongsam stood smiling in the rain, watching Suizi’s car pull away, while her two followers hurriedly opened the umbrella to shield her from the rain.
"Big sister, is that the man the old master has his eye on? He looks quite tall."
"Yes, quite good," the woman in white said with a smile.
"Big sister, are you... interested?"
"What I said was, the girl by his side, she’s quite good."
