Suizi looked along at the unfamiliar streets and the stranger in the rear-view mirror that was supposedly herself. The only familiar thing was Yu Jingting, the man driving the car.

He was like the street ruffian from her memory, but not quite the same.

Some parts of him, his cheeky side specifically, were just like she remembered, but other details were quite different.

For instance, he would hold her up to a mirror, carry the bedpan in the hospital, open the car door for her, start a conversation with her when he saw she was bored on the ride home.

But when he saw that she kept staring out the window, he stopped talking.

Having no memory of their past interactions, Suizi couldn’t realize that these traits of his were nurtured by herself. This man was like a rough gem, warmed in her hands for years, slowly carved into exactly what she wanted with her gentle touch.

Suizi even heard Yu Jingting say "thank you" to the Head Doctor when checking her out of the hospital.

This familiar irascibility was just like him from her memory. Suizi swallowed nervously, as if she could already foresee the spectacle of him getting out of the car to fight.

"Sorry mate, I’m having some trouble with this car, was just about to check what the problem is. You alright there?"

"Hey, it’s nothing major, just gave my wife a scare. You pull over, I can give you a look." Yu Jingting parked at the side of the road, grabbing his toolset from the trunk.

Almost instinctively, Suizi yelled, "Don’t do it!"

She assumed he was going to pick a fight.

"No need," Suizi shook her head, she didn’t dislike any of these people. She could feel their goodwill towards her, it was just that she was uneasy, her feelings of familiarity and strangeness wrangling inside of her.

"Mommy!" Luoluo was the first to run over to her, giving Suizi a big hug and raising her little face asking, "Feeling better now, does your head still hurt?"

Suizi shook her head, stroked the children’s faces, and found that these two children were indeed very adorable.

"Who’s looking after these kids?"

Everyone turned to look at her.

"Ever since their birth, you’ve been the one educating them. Although Grandma helps with their daily care, their behavior and manners were taught by you,"
