I am chasing a rough man in the 80s
Chapter 44: Discerning the Genuine and Fake Villains

Chapter 44: Chapter 44: Discerning the Genuine and Fake Villains

The staff from the Production team came out and saw Tiegen from the Yu Family standing righteously in the neighbor’s yard, pointing at Li Youcai who had fainted on the ground.

"This guy knocked down the wall. Deduct the cost of fixing it from his salary. There’s no point in asking him since he wouldn’t admit it anyway."

"Tiegen really has a big heart."

Everyone had just heard Jingting being feisty on the Broadcasting Station, no one dared to go and take a look - they had all experienced his iron fist, and it really hurt.

Now, after Jingting said it was Li Youcai, everyone agreed with this view.

"I no longer go by that name!" Jingting glanced at Suizi and saw her lowering her head, her shoulders shaking slightly.

Man, what a naughty girl, enjoying herself secretly?

During Li Youcai’s unconsciousness, he had unknowingly shouldered a massive "debt". Suizi felt sweeter than honey in her heart.

Revenge might not have been grand, but it sure did feel good.

Walking side by side after leaving the team headquarters, Jingting didn’t glance around and still carried the "righteous" air from earlier at the Broadcasting Station. With this aura of righteousness, he said something very out of place.

"How will you thank me for avenging you?"

Suizi thought that running all the way to the Broadcasting Station to make a scene, which even brought the cops over, was a bit foolish. But seeing him appearing so pleased with himself, like a naughty kid expecting sweets, she didn’t have the heart to disappoint him and thought for a moment.

"Tonight, I’ll cook your favorite dish."

"I want something else." His gaze shifted towards what he desired.

Suizi blushed and took two cautious steps back.

"I’m not three months yet, I’ll... I’ll tell mom!"

Jingting snorted unhappily. This little girl, always keeping guard against him like he was some kind of thing.

"You shouldn’t be so impulsive, like today, what were you arguing with the police for? It wouldn’t have done you any good. You need to know how to hide your talents in the world..."

As Suizi was walking towards school, she lectured him.

"I could have put up with anything else, but him saying I do things quickly!" How could he stand it?

Suizi was startled by this shameless man that she anxiously glanced left and right, looking like she was caught red-handed.

"What nonsense are you talking about!" Being with such a shameless guy, her heart was always on edge, fearing that others might hear his flirtatious words.

"Didn’t I speak the truth?" Jingting looked at her up and down with a wicked smile, lifted her chin, leaned close to her forehead and said, "Fast or slow, wouldn’t you know best?"

Suizi thought he was being a vegetable!

Who could beat Jingting at being shameless?

"Let go of me! I need to go to class!"

Jingting blocked her way, insisting on asking about her "user experience". If she wouldn’t say, he wouldn’t let her go.

Suizi was driven to her wit’s end by him, with fire almost bursting from her face, she finally squeezed out the word ’okay’.

For her, this was a breakthrough, but Jingting was clearly unsatisfied.

"Just okay?!"

Suizi was really afraid he might spout out something dirty. She steeled her heart and decided to give in.

"I think Comrade Jingting is of exceptional skill and intelligence, truly living up to his name. Are you happy now? Can I go?"

She had a whole class of kids waiting for her to teach them, who wanted to chat with some prankster about user experience.

She had just taken a step when he forcefully pulled her back. Her back banged against his chest, and just as Suizi was about to be angry and ask what kind of stunt he was pulling now, she saw the mischievous grin on his face. He ran his fingers across her small lips and said to her with malicious intent:

"Honey, you won’t have to feed me tonight. Instead, I’ll be feeding you. You’re... truly beautiful."

Listening to each word separately, there seemed to be nothing wrong. But when put together, it seemed a bit... odd?

Suizi, who had been innocent all her life, had never come across a man with such thick skin. It took her a while to understand his meaning, and by the time she did, she was about to explode.

Jingting let go of her quickly and stepped back, his expression still portraying a model husband from Yang Village.

"You’re a grown woman, can’t you pay attention when you walk? Look, if I hadn’t held you back, you would have fallen."

Glancing to the side, Suizi unsurprisingly found an elderly woman with a cane looking approvingly at Jingting.

"After getting married, Tiegen became attentive to his wife!"

"Granny, I changed my name to Jingting a long time ago, not Tiegen..." As Jingting finished speaking, he looked at Suizi quizzically as if he recalled something.

Wait, why did his wife say ’truly living up to his name’ when she was complimenting his ability just now?

Before he could fully comprehend what had just happened, Suizi entered the schoolyard, leaving Jingting behind, touching his chin and pondering.

The new name he chose was so poetic, living up to his name... was she complimenting him or mocking him?

The school was a row of bungalows where children from many different villages came to study. The classrooms were all adjacent to each other.

As Suizi passed by the fifth-grade classroom, she noticed the silence. Subconsciously, she glanced inside.

In the classroom, students were quietly doing their homework while a man in his fifties sat on the podium drinking alcohol.

Suizi thought she had seen it wrong and doubled back for a closer look.

There was a bottle of local liquor on the podium. The old man took occasional sips from it. Beside him stood a female student, the podium concealing half of her body.

From Suizi’s perspective, she could only see the man’s hand holding the bottle of liquor. Where was his other hand?

A chill ran down Suizi’s spine. She wanted to take a closer look, but the old man noticed her and stood up, walking towards her.

"Mr. Chen, what are you doing?" The man came out of the classroom and Suizi was immediately hit by a strong smell of alcohol.

"Ms. Yan, I stepped out for a bit, and you...?" Suizi remembered, the fifth-grade teacher was named Yan Dagang. He had been teaching at this school for years. He retired last year but was rehired this year due to a staff shortage.

He was already teaching at this school when Suizi was a student here although he never taught her. But there were rumors that he always punished students harshly and many children cursed him behind his back.

"Oh, I was conducting an exam."

Yan Dagang’s eyes landed on Suizi’s face. She wasn’t sure if it was because he was drunk, but his eyes were red. She found his gaze somewhat unsettling.

A role model teacher drinking alcohol in class till he was drunk. If this were to happen a decade later, parents would report him in minutes.

But this was a remote rural school with a lack of teachers and lax management. No one saw anything wrong with his behavior except for Suizi.

Yan Dagang’s gaze lingered on Suizi’s chest for a moment longer than necessary. He licked the corner of his mouth, a gesture that made Suizi’s skin crawl.

Even though Jingting often made fun of her verbally, she didn’t feel disgusted with him, she just couldn’t control her blushing.

But the old man’s look made her feel what real disgust was. She covered her mouth, excused herself, and ran towards the flower bed to throw up.

"A woman sought by a street prankster, pretending to be so decent." Yan Dagang moved his gaze from Suizi to the girl standing beside the podium, grinning from ear to ear.

He was about to return to his drink when Suizi rushed in again.
