I am chasing a rough man in the 80s -
Chapter 429: Sincerity, Sincerity and Sincerity
Chapter 429: Chapter 429: Sincerity, Sincerity and Sincerity
Yu Jingting didn’t hold grudges overnight, but years on end.
If you cross him, he would remember it for ten, twenty, even thirty years.
He could hold a grudge for stealing a single garlic clove from his home for a long time, let alone Lun Lamei, who once tried to harm his two children.
Can he forget such enmity?
Of course not.
Whenever the opportunity arose, he would reciprocate, making Lun Lamei as miserable as he possibly could.
Lun Lamei had barely started speaking when Yu Jingting launched a barrage of insults at her.
At the beginning, he stood there and verbally attacked her. Later, he began pacing around her as if she were the center of a circle, hurling insults as he went.
"When your mother Wang Fenfang gave birth to you, thunder roared in the sky! While others were born under auspicious signs, you were born under a spray of shit; surely the heavens must have had diarrhea to have cast you down to pollute the earth?"
"I also met your dad one dark and stormy night..."
Su Zhe silently watched Yu Jingting’s tirade. At this moment, he suddenly felt that Yu Jingting had been holding back when insulting his mother, he was, in fact, being extremely restrained.
An insult marathon that was so intriguing, who else but Yu Jingting could carry that off?
Out of the corner of his eye, Su Zhe saw Suizi watching Yu Jingting attentively with an awestruck expression, she was clearly very invested and interested in what he would say next.
Reflected on the smooth glass of his beaker, Su Zhe saw a similar interest in his own eyes. He laughed, realizing that he too was curious.
"On a dark and stormy night, your dad, a big black mutt, pushed open your mom’s door. And as the old poem goes: she’s in the bathroom, washing herself; a barren field, waiting for someone to plow!"
Lun Lamei was left breathless from Yu Jingting’s continual insults, her nostrils flared as he relentlessly continued.
"If he had another chance, your dad would surely regret spending those ten seconds on your conception!"
"T-Ten seconds?" Suizi, who was engrossed in the story, was taken aback. "Wow, that’s harsh."
"That’s being generous about her dad’s abilities. In reality, it probably only took a second or two. Anyway, let’s not digress, just talking about her dad, that big black mutt, who sired her. What’s that dog call that has all those wrinkles?"
"A Shar Pei?"
"Yes, that’s the one! I saw a picture in a magazine the other day, and I couldn’t believe it. Isn’t that Ms. Lun Lamei? Big forehead! Small eyes! A wrinkled face! All she’s missing is the expression of incessant gloom."
Yu Jingting demonstrated his point with exaggerated hand gestures, leaving Lun Lamei nearly faint from fury.
Su Zhe, Suizi, and Jiaojiao all nodded in agreement, Yu Jingting truly had a knack for pinpointing people’s distinct characteristics when insulting them!
"Like!" Little Luoluo sitting on Su Zhe’s wheelchair cheerfully blurted out.
A baby imitating an adult is nothing strange, but the timing of this particular outburst perfectly aligned with her father’s roast, adding a distinctive flavor to it.
The room erupted in laughter.
Su Zhe couldn’t remember the last time he laughed so heartily. It felt like he hadn’t enjoyed himself so much since he reached adulthood.
"You laughed too early. I haven’t finished yet!" Since becoming the Factory Director, Yu Jingting hasn’t had many chances to fully display his knack for roasting others, which was quite frustrating for him. With Lun Lamei daring to cross his path now, he wasn’t going to let her off that easily.
"Let’s get back to the part where it was raining shit everywhere, you were born! The moment you came out, your mom became so excited she took your stubby legs and tossed you up towards the sky!"
"Why though? Wasn’t the sky still raining shit?" Jiaojiao asked, showing that she had closely followed the story so far, before pointing out an illogical detail.
"Great question! It’s because your mom, Wang Fenfang, was dumbfounded and wanted to query the heavens! The heavens, however, refused to discuss how such a thing came to exist. They tossed her three times, but only caught her twice, and splat! She landed face-first into the ground, making that Shar Pei-like face even more hideous."
Despite her extensive exposure to Yu Jingting’s roasts, Suizi couldn’t help but laugh.
An idea suddenly came to mind.
"Yu Jingting’s raging adolescence, courted with gist, brandished even in jest." Suizi concluded the fascinating tale of Lun Lamei’s birth with a poem.
"???" Lun Lamei was left dumbstruck by the onslaught of insults, or perhaps she was rendered stupid by her rage.
"Deservedly my wife! Spot-on ending!! You, what’s-her-face, my wife’s point is, you’re a dog."
The punchline corresponds neatly with the setup, she gets it!
Su Zhe turned to Jiaojiao and nodded.
"Good comprehension, the key is, it can be understood after being recited."
"My wife has always emphasized the importance of nurturing a sense for poetry. Once I master it, I plan on teaching Luoluo and Bobo." Jiaojiao was quite ambitious.
Soon enough, all that she learns from the old Yu family culture will come back to benefit her! The flame will keep burning bright!
Today, a bewildering realization struck Jiaojiao. She suddenly understood why Suizi worked so tirelessly to help her learn.
Without education, she might end up like Lun Lamei, not even understanding the insults thrown at her.
Suizi and Su Zhe, despite being extraordinarily erudite, were not the cliché bookworms at all.
The inner world of the cultured was much richer than that of the uncultured. But most of the time, they stayed in their own dimensions, not bothering to argue with people at lower levels, because it was meaningless.
Yu Jingting was an existence that broke through dimensions, he had an indescribable quality that allowed him to traverse different dimensions.
With the exception of Lun Lamei, everyone laughed. Yu Jingting stole a glance at Su Zhe, and smirked.
"Still have the gall to laugh? Are you hoping that by marrying a Shar Pei, you’ll become one too? Don’t even think about it, you’re a human, sure you may have stumbled and fallen but you’re still a human, humans need to stand up again. Don’t mix yourself up with dogs, even if a dog bites you, it doesn’t mean you’ll catch its rabies."
On the surface, it seemed like an insult towards Su Zhe, but upon further thought, it was more than that.
Su Zhe, who was on the receiving end of this conversation, looked up at Yu Jingting in surprise.
Taking a break from lying on the ground...standing up again.
These blunt words, stated as they were, carried no implication of discrimination, sarcasm, grand principles, or false concern.
It felt as if they were just stating the ordinary: eating, drinking, sleeping, all of which were instincts.
Jiaojiao didn’t quite understand the subtle undercurrents flowing between these two men. The young girl who could understand the poetry in books but not the subtleties of human relationships, instinctively looked towards Suizi, who in her heart was forever the epitome of knowledge.
"Learn from your brother; despite his numerous fault, he has three virtues: sincerity, sincerity, and goddamn sincerity!"
"!!!" Jiaojiao was shocked. Her sister-in-law, could also use profanity!
