"How come attending a school reunion makes me feel upset?"

Yu Jingting looked at Suizi. Since she got home from the reunion, she had been holding her reading posture for over half an hour.

She hadn’t turned a page and seemed to be lost in thought.

She didn’t say anything, but Yu Jingting could feel that something was bothering her, and clearly, it was something she didn’t want to share with him.

Suizi hid the disappointment in her eyes with a downward glance then adjusted her emotions. When she looked up again, she was back to normal.

Knowing Suizi as much as Yu Jingting did, he knew that once she took action, she wouldn’t hold any grudge when she got home.

Something else definitely bothered her.

Suizi didn’t want to talk about it, she got up from the bed and headed straight to the kitchen. Yu Jingting only heard the sound of the kitchen knife hitting the chopping board.

Rubbing his chin, he wondered how he could comfort her, when he heard a gasp of surprise from his father-in-law outside.

Then there was Suizi’s voice, apologizing.

"I’m sorry dad, I didn’t know you were here..."

Yu Jingting rushed out to see what happened, took one look, and burst into laughter.

His father-in-law stood at the door with a shocked expression on his face, pointing at the green Pig Spirit that had emerged from the kitchen. Suizi, mortified, profusely apologized to her father-in-law.

Feeling choked up, she decided to apply a facial mask to calm herself down.

At this hour, Suizi thought that both elders were asleep. Afraid that the light would disturb their rest, through the glass of the door, she had set her flashlight to a dim setting. She was operating fiercely when her father-in-law was startled.

Yu Shuisheng would never forget, when he entered the room, the light of the flashlight reflected on the green face!

"Oh, dad, you want to apply one too? Once it’s applied, your face will be so smooth." Yu Jingting enjoyed stirring up trouble and added fuel to the fire.

Suizi was glad her face mask was thick enough that no one could see the burning redness beneath it. She switched off the flashlight, dashed into the room, closed the door, and let out a silent, shrill scream.

It was a scene of great social embarrassment.

"You keep it for yourself and be smooth. Um, tell Suizi not to overthink it, I’m okay, tell her to continue applying."

Yu Shuisheng walked into his room hands behind his back. In front of his children, he couldn’t admit that he was really startled.

"When I came over, the Principal was fighting with Zhang Dashan."
