Chapter 234: Chapter 234: Shock, what to do when I discover my husband secretly watching Men’s Health

"Principal, I’m stepping out."

Suizi left in the middle of the principal’s speech.

The principal sent Suizi off with a smile, but as her figure disappeared at the end of the corridor, his smile faded and a hint of sinister intent flashed in his eyes.

"She really doesn’t take me seriously!"

Suizi spotted a familiar figure from the back, which looked very much like her husband.

In this era, Jingting’s height could be considered outstanding, not to mention that Suizi was the one who matched his clothes, making him all the more recognizable.

Why would he come to the hospital without informing her beforehand?

Suizi followed Jingting until he turned a corner and disappeared from view.

By the time she caught up, he had vanished, presumably having entered the clinic.

Suizi looked up to see the signboard that read "Urology". In her mind, she subconsciously heard the advertisement phrase "What to do if kidney funds are exhausted" — Could he have a problem in that area?

But it couldn’t be... Suizi recalled their activities the previous night and the night before that, and assured herself there wasn’t a problem.

This department sees a variety of diseases, not just urological disorders but also various other impediments, and Suizi was in turmoil.

She cared for Jingting’s health, yet she dared not intrude. What if she hurt his pride?

She wished she could post on an anonymous online forum to ask, "Help! I found out my husband secretly visited the urological department. What should I do? I’m waiting urgently online."

A worried Suizi paced back and forth anxiously outside the urology department, like an ant on a hot pan.

"What are you doing here?" a hand landed on her shoulder, startling her.

Turning around, she met the gaze of the man she had just speculated about having "kidney overuse".

"I, I, uh, I was passing by, I didn’t... see anything." Suizi stammered guiltily.

Coming out from the toilet, Jingting had noticed a visibly pregnant woman loitering suspiciously.

This quick-thinking man had put together a myriad of scenarios within three seconds.

The wife stands by her husband’s side after he develops a functional disorder during her pregnancy...

It took just three seconds for Jingting to realize that this woman was his wife.

That was preposterous.

"What are you doing here at the hospital?" They asked in unison.

"Wang Mengmeng fell and hit her head, so I came with her — And you?" Suizi asked cautiously.

Internally, she was prepared. If he admitted to having a problem, she would hold him tight.

Her mind was in a stall, unable to react to anything but the desire to hold him.

"I came with someone, too." He responded.

"Don’t worry, I’ll be with you — what?" Our melodramatic heroine Suizi was on the verge of tears when she heard this and abruptly ceased wailing.

Jingting leaned into her ear and whispered:

"It seems Fan Hua got testicular cancer." Jingting vulgarized the disease’s name to comic effect.

"Don’t be so crude, it’s called testicular cancer." Suizi corrected him, then paused for a few seconds.

"What?! He’s got cancer?!"

"Only just figuring it out now, are you?" Jingting said, looking at her affectionately.

"No wonder he wanted to borrow his son’s lifespan. It all makes sense now." Suizi had a moment of revelation.

Even though, feeling relieved because someone else was ill was unkind.

However, she had to admit that she felt relieved. Upon realizing that it wasn’t Jingting who was ill, her heart soared from the depths of despair to cloud nine, utterly relaxed.

"As long as it’s not you who’s ill, that’s wonderful." Suizi patted her chest. She almost had a heart attack from the thrill.

"Mhm — Mhm?!" Jingting suddenly realized something was off. He looked up at the department’s name, then back to his visibly emotional wife.

His dark eyes narrowed dangerously.

"You didn’t think I was sick, did you?" His voice equally ominous.

"No, I didn’t, I was just... I didn’t think that at all!" Suizi tripped over her words, panic clearly written all over her face.

"Seems I haven’t proven myself enough to you, huh?"

Jingting cast a glance at her belly. If it wasn’t for her pregnancy, would she suspect him this much?

He was already being very considerate, yet she still cried and threw tantrums constantly.

And now, behind his back, she imagines him needing to visit a urologist?

"No, you’re misunderstanding. The urology department doesn’t just specialize in that, they also treat frequent urination and... "

The more she explained, the worse it got. Jingting’s face turned green.

Grabbing Suizi by the arm, he started dragging her towards the men’s toilet, "Come, let me give you a live demonstration!"

Suizi was terrified and her face turned beet red.

"Jingting, are you crazy?! Is that a place I can enter?!"

"Dare to doubt your man?" Prepare to face his wrath!

"What if you do something ridiculous and it splashes in your face?" cornered at the entrance of the toilet, Suizi blurted out her fear, her face close to crying.

Jingting was taken aback. Seizing the opportunity, Suizi broke free and scurried away from the dreaded men’s room.

Her expression was as pitiful as can be.

"I really didn’t have any other thoughts, I was just wondering how we’d share in our joys and sorrows..."

As a sensitive woman, she went from imagining being Liang Zhu to Romeo and Juliet within a split second, her mind filled with determination to "live together, die together".

How could she think logically when she was in that state?

"Damn it, you’re really ticking me off." Jingting was genuinely amused, reaching out to pinch her small face.

"You’re clever when you should be, and clever when you shouldn’t be. Stupidly clever." He found her endearing.

Suizi flashed him an ingratiating smile. Although she wasn’t quick-witted in arguments, she knew well how to flatter.

"You’re a true man, a perfect male with overflowing self-confidence. You wouldn’t hold a small misunderstanding against your wife, who cares and frets for you, right?"

"Speak plainly."

"You can’t hold it against me later on when we get home. My brain was in chaos because I was concerned about you," she added a bit more quietly, "If you try to assert your dominance in bed, you’ll be a naughty puppy."

"Hmm, okay."

Surprised, Suizi raised her head. He seemed uncharacteristically agreeable today.

The naive Suizi thought she had dodged a bullet, little did she know he would leave bite marks all over her body when they got home. Faced with him shamelessly baring his teeth at her, Suizi could only glare in indignation.

If you’re going to compete with him over who’s got the thicker skin, then you’ve already lost. Of course, that’s a story for later that night.

Currently, Suizi, having been scared half to death, briefly chatted with Jingting about what had transpired.

When Jingting heard that Wang Mengmeng had fallen, he was initially unperturbed, but soon something struck him as odd.

"Doesn’t your school garden get cleaned? Why was the path so slippery?"

If it weren’t an important person who had slipped and fallen, it wouldn’t matter; but what if his wife had slipped and fallen?

"Don’t worry, I’ve already initiated a covert investigation."

Jingting’s brows furrowed. He felt there was more than what Suizi was saying.

However, now wasn’t the time or place to talk about it. They’d need to find a deserted spot to discuss this.

As the two of them were talking, Fan Hua emerged from the clinic with a distraught expression on his face and saw Suizi there as well.

Fan Hua first looked stunned, then his face slowly took on a significant expression.
