The gathering White Light brightened the blood-colored Hell. Zheng Yichen exhaled, feeling his depleted strength rapidly recovering. The Essence of Life now only filled a part of his hand bone, but this small portion had already brought significant changes to him.

His regenerative abilities greatly increased, and the consumption of his physical strength could be almost ignored. As long as there was a trace of the Essence of Life, even severe injuries would heal quickly, coupled with his innate regeneration trait.

The screams produced by the Evil Spirit hadn’t even touched Zheng Yichen before they were scattered by the blood-colored Qi membrane. The Army Decimating battle saber’s cutting force field treated the Evil Spirit’s defenses as if they were nothing, slicing the foe in half with one strike, while his other hand holding the black spear unleashed surging Hellfire.

The flames enveloped all the nearby Evil Spirits and Mental Aberration creatures.

After a successful strike, Zheng Yichen leaped and slashed at the vast skeleton that seemed hidden on another spatial layer.

The spatial distortion attached to the Army Decimating battle saber made it feel as if Zheng Yichen were chopping into a clump of water, and with one strike, the blade—empowered by the Blood Asura inner force—killed many Mental Aberration creatures. However, on the huge Skeleton skull, only a shallow cut appeared.

The two massive eyeballs, each over ten meters in diameter, stared intently at Zheng Yichen.

The writhing mass of dense tentacles that covered them gave off a strong sense of horror, but Zheng Yichen simply curled the corners of his mouth in response—he was no ordinary person!

The blood glow accompanying the Army Decimating battle saber intensified further, and the spatial distortion on the blade became even more severe, making the saber in his hand appear twisted. Under this slash, all the tentacles spreading over the two eyeballs were severed, and a large gaping wound was sliced through the huge Skeleton skull.

The eyes of the skeleton revealed intense anger, and its incomplete body began to become whole again, as some of the Evil Spirits around it screamed and quickly withered away.

The remaining Evil Spirits had no time to vent their anger or bewitch Zheng Yichen; their carefully prepared trap had been exposed from the start.

The special Evil Spirit they had summoned held a place of particular significance within their community, tracing back to some of the very origins of Evil Spirits. However, summoning such a being was no easy task and came at a price.

But as long as they could deal with Zheng Yichen, it would all be worth it. This human, who had repeatedly moved in and out of Hell, was the existence that Evil Spirits longed for in their dreams. To dominate this human would mean that Hell would no longer be a prison for Evil Spirits but their home...
