The sound of flesh tearing ensued, the ’tourist’ hit by the blood dragon sprouted dense bulbs of flesh, an eye opened on their chest, the pupil being a beating heart, which gazed maliciously at Zheng Yichen.

That gaze carried tangible force, resisting the attack of the blood dragon, but Zheng Yichen’s assault was unstoppable. The eye revealed a hint of surprise, the heart-pupil contracting suddenly, and Zheng Yichen felt as if a steel needle had pricked his head.

His head involuntarily jerked back—what a powerful attack!

After activating Burst Mode, he was highly resistant to energy attacks, the qi film could directly repel many energy assaults, yet this attack breached the qi film and affected him, though not much. It felt like being punched.

This attack also triggered a soul characteristic within him, a ’repulsion’ on mental and soul levels. Under this repulsion, and partly blocked by the qi film from Burst Mode, the ’steel needles’ were completely deflected, and the fishing rod in Zheng Yichen’s grasp broke through the invisible barrier.

Following the ’tourist’s’ death, Zheng Yichen saw the heat sources previously gathered appear again, albeit in much-reduced amounts. A portion of the heat was absorbed by the Skeleton head in Alina’s hand, and the rest formed a twisted face, which Zheng Yichen could see clearly even without thermal vision.
