Chapter 1145: Chapter 831: You guys go ahead and wait inside.
Because Zheng Yichen’s built-in space already had a fixed foundation, this time, the enhancement using three half-dimension remnants stayed within an acceptable merit point cost for him.
Enhancing the built-in space has always been expensive because this type of enhancement is stable—it maintains effectiveness even in low-energy environments, unlike other items that lose utility in such settings.
So, these merit points had to be spent.
Three half-dimension remnants extended the built-in space’s length, width, and height by 25 meters, upgrading its dimensions from the original 55×55×55 to 80×80×80. The internal capacity increased by more than threefold.
Such an improvement was already quite impressive. Zheng Yichen casually set a small goal of eventually achieving triple digits in the length, width, and height measurements.
However, obtaining half-dimension remnants was immensely challenging. Collecting them himself was nothing but wishful thinking. Lately, Zheng Yichen had been wondering if he might seize the opportunity to snatch some remnants during a Breakworld event in the Great World.
Of course, even in such a scenario, he’d need to figure out a way to gather the fragmented remains of the world, and he had no idea how many merit points that kind of reinforcement would cost.
For now, he would accumulate resources bit by bit.
With the expanded built-in space, he could now fit even more items inside—installing an entire laboratory wasn’t an issue. Still, Zheng Yichen kept thinking about the Firmament Wheel.
"I wonder if there are any half-dimension remnants over at the Luminous Divine type’s side," Zheng Yichen murmured while tossing various materials from the built-in space to Lilith, including a small fraction of the harmonizing stone.
These materials could make the Virtual World exhibit greater ’harmonization.’ With them, Lilith could even bundle up a pile of bugs and force them to function collectively—this was the transformative effect brought by absorbing and breaking down the harmonizing stone.
Of course, such forced operations often came with their own drawbacks: things might work temporarily and move forward, but ultimately the result could turn out to be something entirely incomprehensible—a situation reminiscent of the Chaos Furnace.
Back at his residence in Landen City, Zheng Yichen let the wave of laziness wash over him. "I’ve finished my business—time to steal a moment of relaxation."
Eating the fruit Katrina had peeled for him, Zheng Yichen yawned and sprawled leisurely on the sofa in an utterly carefree posture, radiating an air of complete contentment.
A little later, Zheng Yichen said, "Tanshia Firlo, you’re sleeping in your own room tonight."
"Hmm-hmm-hmm-hmm, I’m not going!" Tanshia Firlo hummed dismissively, flipping her head defiantly in refusal.
Zheng Yichen grabbed hold of the small white dragon’s head. "Or I might just lock you in the little dark room instead."
The small white dragon widened her eyes, staring incredulously at Zheng Yichen. "Are you seriously throwing me aside for your desires??"
"Stop babbling, brat. I’ve been running around for so long—can I not have a break? Listen, tonight, you sleep by yourself."
"Got it..." The small white dragon cast a resentful glance at Zheng Yichen before snatching the fruit plate from him. Unfurling her tiny dragon wings, she swiftly flew away.
It wasn’t long before she returned. "I’m thirsty!"
"Ugh, there’s no cure for you," Zheng Yichen said, pulling out a bottle of divine wine and thrusting it into Tanshia Firlo’s arms.
"I’ve told you so many times already—I’m a dragon, not some human child. Don’t actually treat me like one!" Tanshia Firlo grinned gleefully as she flew back to her room clutching the bottle.
Zheng Yichen then turned his gaze to Katrina. "It’s late—we should get some rest too?"
The white-haired witch blushed lightly and nodded softly before following Zheng Yichen to the bedroom.
Early the next morning, a knocking sound woke Zheng Yichen. He stared at the ceiling before abruptly sitting up, grabbing his clothes, and heading for the door.
Before Tanshia Firlo could speak, he pressed down firmly on the small white dragon’s head. "I’m really mad right now!!"
"Waaah——my head feels dizzy——" Tanshia Firlo wailed as Zheng Yichen shook her, leaving her disoriented.
Looking at Zheng Yichen dazedly, her mouth quivered slightly. "Someone’s here!"
"Who?" Zheng Yichen exhaled, glancing toward the door—it was the two Holy Maidens.
Releasing the small white dragon, Zheng Yichen adjusted his clothes.
At the door, Lillian and Nelliwey waited.
"Our task is completed," Lillian said, looking up at Zheng Yichen. "When are we heading back?"
"You two...?" Zheng Yichen’s eyes narrowed slightly in doubt as he observed the two Holy Maidens. Their aura was entirely different from when they had first returned; plainly speaking, they had leveled up.
"Father God boosted our strength." Nelliwey chuckled softly.
After returning earlier, the pair recounted all they had experienced to their Father God, the Luminous Supreme God of the Luminous Divine type. He paid significant attention to some of the details they conveyed.
He took particular interest in the matter of the balanced condition of the Misty City World. As for the Virtual Genesis project, the Supreme God provided some balanced and measured comments but refrained from further discussion on the topic.
But once he confirmed their desire to return to Misty City, he granted them additional power.
Now, they possessed something akin to a God’s Core—though not the traditional core found in True Gods of the Virtual World. This was a unique Divine Power crystal crafted by the Supreme God.
The crystal functioned as a pseudo-Godhead, granting substantial Divine Power and attributes but incapable of progressive growth or advancement. It was more of a fixed ’Godhead,’ limited in usefulness to True Gods.
For weaker True Gods, this item could stifle their opportunities for growth, while for stronger True Gods, it served little purpose.
But for Lillian and Nelliwey, who hadn’t yet entered the Realm of True Gods, this pseudo-Godhead was just right. It could perpetually generate Divine Power and even convert their magic power into Divine Power—unlike before, when the Divine Power gifted by the Supreme God would diminish with use.
This issue no longer existed.
"If you’re ready, we can leave today," Zheng Yichen said. Lillian and Nelliwey growing stronger was undoubtedly a good thing—the Misty City side was chaotic, so having more capable allies could only help.
"Honestly, this trip felt like joining a tour group. But everything was so refreshing," said Ahn Qi, who was tidying up her belongings and conducting some final self-checks in Ahn Ke’s workshop.
After arriving in this world, her itinerary had been meticulously planned: physical reinforcements followed by assisting Ahn Ke with various experiments, and even her outings had been under Ahn Ke’s guidance.
During visits to Dragon Tribe commerce establishments for purchases, they acquired materials that could elevate her family’s standing—items with potent auxiliary effects on magic power refinement. According to Ahn Ke, the Ahn family would normally have to sacrifice greatly to obtain such things.
Yet Zheng Yichen, with his Dragon Tribe Gold Card, secured them effortlessly.
After securing the items, Ahn Ke explained their significance: these were essentially ’redemption tokens.’ The family could use these to advance to a higher echelon, and the immense benefits they had brought to the Ahn family laid solid groundwork for their future progress.
However, moving forward, Ahn Qi would need to make choices carefully.
Essentially, Ahn Ke’s advice was a final ’reminder.’ She could continue prioritizing the family, but her focus shouldn’t be as unwavering as it once was.
If she didn’t adjust, she’d become increasingly detached from this circle, as Zheng Yichen truly had no need to rely on her family for anything anymore.
She knew she’d have to discuss matters thoroughly with her sister after returning. The Ahn family certainly had new ideas after Misty City’s balance recalibration and the subsequent increase in environmental intensity.
"There might be opportunities to stay here for extended periods in the future," Ahn Ke said calmly, packing a large chest into the built-in space through the Apocalypse Stone Ring’s link.
After wrapping up the packing, it was time to depart.
She powered down all operating equipment in the workshop and sealed everything, leaving the room in complete silence.
Inside Dusk Cathedral, everyone instinctively turned toward the doorway. Standing there were four women with green hair, their hues differing slightly—some leaning towards lighter tones, others tinged with shades of cyan or purple.
Their hair colors might vary, but one striking feature was shared: the full-bodied armor in front of them—the deep valleys on their chests accentuated by the tight squeeze of their clothing.
"Were we late? Where’s little Tanshia Firlo?" asked one of the elder green dragons cheerfully as she approached Zheng Yichen and greeted him.
"She’s a little scared of you all—she said you bully her too often and made a point to hide away earlier," Zheng Yichen replied with a smile to the green dragon.
The elder green dragon looked genuinely hurt. "Did she really say that? I genuinely adore her... Well, what’s next on the agenda?"
Loving the small white dragon was one thing, but there was still business to attend to.
"Simple, follow me." Zheng Yichen led the mother dragons to his room at Dusk Cathedral, opening a passage to his built-in space. "You can wait inside."
"That’s it?" A green dragon pulled out a dragon scale box and carefully removed the dragon eggs stored within. Though cautious, she wasn’t overly delicate about it.
Dragon eggs weren’t fragile—if they fell from a few meters onto a concrete floor, they’d bounce instead of shattering. As for how the hard shells were cracked by baby dragons inside—
It wasn’t exactly a challenge for the younglings; they had enough strength naturally. Moreover, as the eggs approached hatching, the nutrients within would concentrate further, making the shells more brittle and easier for the baby dragons to break.
These eggs, however, were still unformed and at their toughest stage. The dragons were now extracting them to update the memory inheritance embedded within, ensuring they understood their necessary actions.
The inherited memories already included information about Dusk. While the dragon scale boxes were spatially expanded, their capacity could be affected in different environments.
Releasing the dragon eggs ahead of time prevented the risk of spatial contraction in the future crushing the eggs.
