In the dark night, Demetri caught hold of Nora’s hand and guided her forward. Nora, suddenly feeling fearful at what she would see, almost stumbled in the darkness and almost fell face first. As he pulled her up, she clung to her his hand, her fingers digging into his skin, leaving temporary marks like indentations of her fear. Her heart raced in synchrony with the anguished screams that echoed through the chilling darkness.
