"So what do you think?" Elena inquired, breaking the silence in the office.

Veronica withdrew her hand, her expression thoughtful as she pondered over the feedback she had received after sending her Antimagic through Arwen’s soma and pneuma.

Arwen maintained silence, looking rather worried as she waited for the verdict of the Valkyrie head.

Finally, Veronica spoke but alas, it wasn’t what either Elena or Arwen were expecting. "I didn’t sense anything. At least apart from the excessive deathly aura that somehow resides in your body. I am quite curious to know how a living person can feel so dead."

"Perhaps it has to do with the fact that I’m a Banshee." Arwen offered with Veronica maintaining a level of skepticism as she replied.

"Perhaps, but still, it is quite copious."

"What now?" Elena inquired as Veronica got to her feet and returned to her seat.

As she sat down, she proceeded to offer her insights into the matter. "I cannot say for sure if your dream can be taken literally or not, but regardless, you said that since you’ve been getting this dream, your control over your death flame has increased by leaps and bounds."

"Yes."

"Then perhaps it’s not completely a bad thing. Initially, I had thought that you may have been corrupted by journeying into the Afterlife but considering your mental state is still intact and I didn’t sense any form of corruption, then the dream is probably not something to fear. My advice would be to try to establish contact with the entity within the dream to ascertain if it is dangerous."

"I should speak to the skeleton?" Arwen seemed slightly alarmed at the audacious suggestion with Veronica nodding.

"But make sure to do it in a controlled setting so that anything that can go wrong would be averted."

Pursing her lips, Arwen let out a sigh.

Veronica did have a point.

Apart from the fact that the dream was a bit too vivid for her liking, it wasn’t exactly dangerous.

Her mind remained intact and her control over the death flame has gotten better with time.

Perhaps, it was as she said and it was better to focus on the positives instead of the negatives.

"Well then, I guess that settles it," Elena remarked from the side, jolting Arwen from her thoughts.

"I guess so," Arwen muttered as she got to her feet and bowed to Veronica. "Thank you."

"You’re welcome," Veronica replied.

"Come on, let’s get going," Elena remarked, only to pause as she recalled something. "Any updates on Nadia’s plan?"

"According to the latest report, they are at the final stage."

Elena and Arwen briefly exchanged looks after which Elena asked. "Is it okay if we go over and help?"

"All things considered, it would increase the chances of success, albeit slightly."

"Then we will head over tomorrow," Elena said with Arwen inquiring.

"Will Ara come with us?"

"We’ll pick her up on the way."

"Alright."

"Good luck, you’ll need it."

And so, Elena and Arwen left, leaving Veronica to her thoughts as her expression shifted.

She had indeed scanned Arwen’s soma and pneuma, but there remained her Avatar, the building block of her very existence, an aspect she could not possibly read.

The possibility of corruption remained, but that meant her very existence had been compromised, and Victoria knew quite well that such a level of corruption if touched, would lead to untold consequences.

Perhaps, it was best Arwen remained oblivious because if it were a corruption of her avatar, her days were already numbered.

"My liege, I wasn’t expecting you," Nereyda said in a fidgety tone as she got to her feet, her assistant also quite flustered by the presence of such a great figure.

Sinbad raised his hand in a bid to calm her. "At ease, Nereyda, all is well."

Hearing his words, Nereyda let out a sigh of relief before quickly growing excited at the fact that he knew her name.

There was no woman of the Enclave that did not wish to be wedded to the Conqueror, a man who stood at the apex of their society, only dwarfed by the Goddess herself.

For such a man to know her name and even treat her cordially caused Nereyda’s heart to flutter.

As she indulged in her fantasies, Sinbad, oblivious to her thoughts, intoned. "Is the temple ready for usage?"

Jolted from her thoughts, Nereyda looked lost as she remarked. "My liege?"

"I wish to communicate with the Goddess, I am in need of a temple to do so."

"Ah, of course, please do wait a while, I will reach out to the priests to get everything for a ceremony."

"How long would it take?"

"All should be ready by first light."

Sinbad nodded. "Alright then, I will wait."

With that, he turned and left while Nereyda turned to her assistant before shaking her head.

For such an assignment given to her by Sinbad, she had to handle things personally!

And so, she left her office, quickly making her way to the Temple of the Sea Goddess located at the top layer of the city.

The Lightbringer opened its gates, heralding the start of a new day and with it, a myriad of activities.

Robert and Charles reacted at the same time, their eyes snapping open before they proceeded to grab their weapons and unleash their Antimagic in a wave that spread out, encompassing a large area, seemingly repelling something as a resounding sonic boom erupted from outside.

Following that, a domineering divine voice was heard.

Hah, to think that you lot were even able to react to that. Truly, the Warrior Wheel are a group of troublesome scum that should be erased from the surface of this land.

Robert and Charles didn’t seem too surprised by the voice though their expressions betrayed a sense of being weighed down by something.

"The others aren’t here yet," Robert muttered in a worried tone with Charles adjusting his stance as he replied.

"Then we hold out until they arrive."

Hopefully, they won’t be too late.
