Each question tightened Ellis’s jaw as he looked towards Mary Davis.

After a moment, he finally spoke, “Yes, the result of my medical exam confirmed infertility, but I’ve been receiving treatment recently. As for the child… of course, it’s mine. My wife and I have always been in love; please don’t believe the rumors.”

After finishing his statement, he walked over to Mary and grabbed her arm.

Mary looked at him.

After a moment, she pursed her lips and walked with him in front of the reporters.

Mary knew that, as Ellis Olsen’s wife, she should present a united front publicly, always looking perfect.

She had seen wealthy couples manage their public appearance like this throughout her life.

He leaned against the wall as the sunset light from afar bathed him in a warm glow.
