How I Accidentally Married a Billionaire -
Chapter 365 - Chapter 365 Chapter 364
Chapter 365: Chapter 364 Chapter 365: Chapter 364 Mary Davis looked at Rebecca Allen puzzled, “Who is it?”
Rebecca Allen just swallowed hard.
She had been trying hard to please Lewis Horton at the South Family’s house yesterday, but he was just icy cold towards her, saying nothing at all.
Just as she was about to tell Mary Davis who he was, she saw the man glance at her indifferently.
Rebecca Allen immediately didn’t dare to say anything…
Mary Davis then said, “No matter who he is, he’s young and handsome. Let me tell you quietly, he’s also got plenty of stamina, which is much better than that nearly thirty-year-old Lewis Horton! And that guy is a widow with a second marriage!”
The more she spoke, the more petrified Rebecca Allen became, and she quickly explained, “Actually, Mr. Horton isn’t that bad…”
“Tsk tsk,” Mary Davis looked her up and down, “Miss Allen, you wouldn’t still have some improper thoughts about him, would you? I heard before that you always wanted to marry him…”
With those words, Rebecca Allen could clearly feel the chill around Lewis Horton intensify.
She immediately waved her hands, “No, I don’t think like that anymore.”
“You don’t look up to him anymore, do you? After all, as long as you have enough money and your parents can support you for a lifetime, it’s better to find a ‘little puppy’ like Kiera, instead of marrying a second-married man and possibly being mistreated later on, right?”
Rebecca Allen: !!
She replied subconsciously, “No, it’s not that I don’t look up to him…”
Mary Davis said, “Then you still look up to him? Well then, go and compete with Victoria Olsen! To each their own!”
Rebecca Allen: “…”
Looking carefully and cautiously at Lewis Horton again, she saw the man’s expression turn even darker, as he grasped Keira Olsen’s hand tightly, “We must be careful whom we befriend in the future!”
“…”
Rebecca Allen felt she could never clear her name even if she jumped into the Yellow River now!
As a few of them were chatting, Mrs. Jones finally came downstairs with her two children, her face beaming with joy as she looked at Keira Olsen, “Miss South, you are actually Uncle Olsen’s daughter! No wonder…”
No wonder she had said if they approached the Horton Family for that cooperation deal, it would surely succeed–and indeed it did!
After thinking for a moment, Keira Olsen directly said, “I have a favor to ask of you all, it’s about my identity, let’s not disclose it to others for now.”
Mary Davis was slightly stunned, recalling what Keera had said about saving her mother that day, plus her always having that secretive, fishy vibe. She didn’t ask further.
Rebecca Allen, however, became anxious immediately, “What’s wrong? Does Uncle Olsen not want to acknowledge you? If that’s the case, we don’t need that family!”
Mrs. Jones also looked worriedly at her.
Keira Olsen saw everyone had misunderstood and said with a light laugh, “No, it’s just that I still have some issues and this identity hinders me.”
“As long as they are willing to recognize you,” Rebecca Allen patted her chest.
Mary Davis teased her, “You’re overthinking it. With Christina Olsen and Victoria Olsen at the Olsen Family, how could they not want you, their precious daughter?”
After speaking, she looked at Keira Olsen, “We few will keep it to ourselves, but you should also tell Uncle Olsen. I just can’t guarantee Christina Olsen and Victoria Olsen will be tight-lipped.”
Keira Olsen was not worried about them, just smiling, “Do you think they would tell others?”
After pondering for a moment, Mary Davis concluded: Of course they wouldn’t!
As long as the Olsen Family’s legitimate precious daughter hadn’t returned, they would remain the noble daughters of the Olsen Family. If the biological daughter came back, then these two adopted daughters would lose their status!
Realizing this, Mary Davis smiled slyly.
Mrs. Jones seemed to have something to say but hesitated and did not speak, looking at Keira Olsen.
Keira Olsen understood immediately what was meant and stood up, “The Olsen Family has given me the position of kindergarten board member, and I’ll take you back now to cancel George’s withdrawal!”
Mrs. Jones’s heart leapt with joy!
She hadn’t expected Keira to be so perceptive, to see through her intentions.
She had just wanted to bring this up, fearing that if Keira did not recognize their relationship, the child’s schooling arrangements wouldn’t be possible.
Gratitude shone in her eyes, “Good!”
Rebecca Allen and Mary Davis stayed home to accompany Amy, while the rest of the group headed out, with Lewis Horton continuing in his role as Keira’s driver.
Mrs. Jones had her own car.
The two cars drove toward the kindergarten, one after the other.
While driving, having just left the underground garage of the South Family mansion, Lewis slowed down and glanced at the rearview mirror.
In the distance, at an inconspicuous spot, were three cars parked.
A shadow flickered across his eyes, and with a thoughtful look, he withdrew his gaze, only to hear Keira start speaking, “Is it Uncle Olsen?”
Lewis nodded, “It looks like it.”
After saying this, he gave Keira another look and said indifferently, “Uncle Olsen comes off as very domineering, decisive, but he’s actually very righteous. He has a persistent affection for your mother. He’s remained unmarried all these years because of her. By the way…”
Lewis chuckled as he continued, “Do you know why, initially, I was the one to represent the Horton Family in proposing marriage to the Olsen Family on behalf of Jake Horton?”
At the mention of this, Keira drifted into a reverie.
Back then, she was forced into an arranged marriage by Poppy Hill and Taylor Olsen, only to discover at the courthouse that she was already married to Lewis Horton.
Thinking back on these events now gave her an almost otherworldly feeling.
In the past, she lived uneasily under the suppression and brainwashing of Poppy Hill within the Olsen Family, striving for freedom through hard work.
Gradually, she built her own courier and repair companies, and even later developed new energy, became Nora, and started…
Perhaps because of a lack of security since childhood, all she thought about was earning more money then, wanting to buy her own property all over the country.
Rather than living forever dependent on others, hidden in the dark basement of the Olsen home.
Though that period of her life was difficult, it was fulfilling.
But such a life was disrupted after a mere two months.
The mysterious South Family…
Her sister, who appeared out of nowhere and died for her…
It seemed as if a vast net of conspiracy had suddenly descended from the sky, trapping her tightly, and now, even as she struggled to break free, she didn’t know where the breakthrough lay…
She could only go with the flow, feeling a profound sense of powerlessness.
When she thought back on her past life, it suddenly seemed so much purer.
Lost in her memories, Lewis continued to explain, “It was Uncle Olsen who sent me. Over the years, the Horton Family has been supporting the Olsen Family’s business, all thanks to Uncle Olsen’s care. He knew that if the Olsen Family offered help directly, your mother-in-law would not accept it…”
Mother-in-law…
Warmth flickered across Keira’s face.
Seeing no sign of dislike from her, Lewis went on, “When your mother-in-law fell ill, Uncle Olsen rushed to Oceanion overnight. It’s clear how much he’s always cared for her. Actually, there’s a misunderstanding between the two of them…”
Keira immediately asked, “What misunderstanding?”
