How I Accidentally Married a Billionaire
Chapter 340 - Chapter 340 Chapter 339

Chapter 340: Chapter 339 Chapter 340: Chapter 339 Keira Olsen and Lewis Horton sat in the Allen Family’s reception room, surveying their surroundings. “I didn’t expect Rebecca’s home to have this decor style, it’s quite cozy.”

Lewis frowned, displeased. “Don’t you feel a sense of danger?”

“What danger?” Keira looked at him puzzledly.

Lewis coughed softly, lowering his voice, “Rebecca Allen covets her friend’s husband quite brazenly, you should keep your distance.”

Keira’s mouth slightly fell open.

She gave a slight smile. “There must be some misunderstanding.”

Lewis sighed and remained silent.

Over the years, whether during their school days or after returning to the country, there had been many women who relentlessly pursued him; otherwise, he wouldn’t have mistaken Keira bringing a marriage certificate printout to him as her hitting on him.

Yet he never expected that the well-behaved, admiring girl he saw in Keira would have eyes for him as well?

If Rebecca Allen was just Frankie Allen’s sister, he certainly wouldn’t have been nice.

But Rebecca was also Keira’s friend and best friend. They had a good relationship back in Oceanion; he couldn’t be too rude.

After all, a best friend’s influence could be dangerous!

Lewis coughed again, then messed up his neatly arranged hair and adjusted his sports jacket.

Seeing him like this, Keira asked, “What are you doing?”

“Trying to look ugly.”

Keira’s mouth twitched, grabbing his hand. “Stop messing around, no matter what, your handsome looks can’t be hidden.”

Lewis stopped his antics when he heard this, but his ears gradually reddened.

Keira noticed that this man really blushes easily, so she deliberately stared at him.

Sure enough, after a while, Lewis coughed and reminded, “Keep it together, look all you want when we get home tonight.”

Keira laughed.

At that moment, there was noise at the door, and then Frankie Allen walked in with Rebecca Allen.

Frankie, who seemed thinner than when Keira first met him, fixed his gaze on Keira’s face as soon as he entered, a hint of gloom fleeting in his eyes.

Lewis immediately stepped forward, blocking his view.

Frankie then withdrew his gaze and frowned at Lewis.

However, Keira did not notice the subtle movements between the two men, instead turning to look at Rebecca, who was lifting her chin slightly, no longer the timid, gentle mannered woman from Oceanion, radiating a bratty vibe instead.

Upon entering, her gaze was fixed nakedly on Keira, filled with hostility.

What’s going on?

While Keira was pondering, Rebecca came up to her and extended her hand. “Hello, I’m Rebecca Allen.”

Just as Keira was about to shake it, Rebecca withdrew her hand, pretending to touch her hair nonchalantly and then stared at her. “Keera, right? You really resemble a friend of mine.”

Keira was dumbfounded.

Rebecca continued, “Do you want to know who my friend is? It’s quite a coincidence; it’s Mr. Horton’s deceased wife… Did you know about that?”

Keira nodded cluelessly.

Seeing this, Rebecca furrowed her brows, her tone became a bit shrill. “You knew?”

Keira nodded again.

Rebecca immediately clenched her fists, then scoffed, “You’re willing to be a substitute?”

Keira realized something was off but before she could speak, Lewis stood in front of her, warningly looking at Rebecca. “Miss Allen, please be polite.”

“Oh? Defending her already?”

Rebecca’s attitude was sharp, taking a step forward, her eyes fixed on Lewis. “Mr. Horton, since you’re here, some things should be made clear.”

Her gaze was clear, directly saying, “Actually, when I was with my benefactor, I started liking you. At that time, I didn’t make a move because of him, but now that she’s gone, why don’t our families unite in marriage?”

Lewis: ?

His gaze toward Rebecca suddenly darkened, then he turned to look at Keira, signaling with his eyes: See, this is your good friend!

Keira hadn’t expected Rebecca to say something like this and immediately spoke up. “Mi–Miss Allen, you can’t say such things randomly.”

But Rebecca looked directly at her. “I’m not talking nonsense, I do like him, and if you want to cooperate with our family, hand him over. Otherwise, consider the cooperation off!”

With that, she walked out the door.

Rebecca could leave without reasoning, but Frankie didn’t want to break ties with Lewis, as their families still had business together. He stayed behind, looking helplessly at Lewis. “Mr. Horton, you heard what my sister said, didn’t you?”

Lewis suppressed the anger in his heart, glaring at him. “You just let her do this?”

Frankie spread his hands. “I can’t help it, our father and mother have only this daughter, and I only have this sister, who also went through that ordeal, so we can only spoil her from now on.”

Lewis was speechless.

He looked helplessly at Keira.

Keira, however, stepped forward, looking at Frankie. “Mr. Allen, if the cooperation between our families is going to be this frivolous, then never mind. However, Miss Allen’s condition seems off. Perhaps you should take her to see a psychiatrist?”

Frankie was taken aback.

Ever since Rebecca was brought back home, she had become more paranoid.

Her current demands were indeed excessive.

The family thought it was due to a failed marriage and Keira’s death, so they didn’t think much of it.

But Keira saw the issue right away.

Was Rebecca mentally ill?

After pondering for a moment, Frankie nodded. “Thank you, Miss South, for the suggestion. I’ll take her to see a doctor.”

Keira turned and left with Lewis.

Frankie watched their departing figures, noting how Lewis, when with Keera, still respectfully stayed half a step behind her–as he had always done in Oceanion with Keira.

It was a shocking revelation to him then.

And it was clear just how much Lewis valued Keira.

Was he the same with Keera now?

Recalling the tone and manner Keera spoke to him… she was very similar to Keira, quite unlike the submissive Keera his investigations had suggested.

This made him question again, could it be…

A suspicion suddenly arose in Frankie’s heart, a guess he scarcely dared believe in; without thinking, he chased after them.

Just as he stepped out, he saw Keira and Lewis walking toward the parking lot about to get in the car, he hurriedly took two steps forward, calling out, “Miss Olsen!”

Keira’s steps involuntarily paused.
