"Tang Li," Mei Quzhen seemed to have a good relationship with Doctor Tang, directly addressing him by his name, "keep an eye out for me. Once the graveyard is closed, if anyone patrolling comes by, it’s up to you."

"Alright, Director Mei."

The graveyard was scheduled to close at five.

At four-thirty, the graveyard began to repeatedly broadcast a message, urging those visiting graves to leave.

Once it was five, Mei Quzhen checked the surroundings, then walked to one of the tombstones.

The child was still crouching there, his face full of loneliness.

"Is there really no way we can send these spirits back to the land of the dead now?"

Tang Li sighed and said, "The worlds of the living and the dead maintain balance. The translucent figure of a child moved until it was in front of Dai Lin and suddenly opened its mouth.

Under paranormal phenomena, even ghosts could shed tears.

Tang Li turned his head away, unable to bear it, and said, "Ah... Doctor Dai, don’t be soft-hearted. The deeper their connection with the living world becomes, the less likely they are ever to leave it and be reborn."

Dai Lin knew that Tang Li was right.

The appearance of spirits was mostly because the deceased held too much attachment to the mortal world, and thus they insisted on lingering here.

But as their obsessions deepened, they would gradually transform into resentment, and ultimately from benign spirits into vindictive Resentful Spirits that kill. The sin of murder could even form a karmic obstruction, turning into an even more vicious Malevolent Ghost. In the end, humanity would be completely lost, becoming malevolent spirits devoid of all humanity.

A Paranormal Doctor must not let the ghosts increase their attachment to the mortal world.

He walked to the boy’s grave and uncorked the tube, sprinkling the blood over the tombstone.
